2 Kennedy Krieger Institute is looking for organizations and individuals interested in: • Sponsoring the Festival • Volunteering at the Festival • Donating meals for Festival volunteers • Designing a tree, wreath or gingerbread house • Donating an item for the auction • Purchasing a vendor booth to sell crafts, edibles or gifts as part of the Festival Marketplace Help the kids and families that Kennedy Krieger serves! Visit KennedyKrieger.org/FestivalOfTrees or email FestivalOfTrees@KennedyKrieger.org for more information. Save the date for Festival of Trees 2023! November 24–26, 2023, at the Maryland State Fairgrounds Santa Needs Helpers!

Thank you so very much for joining us for our 33rd annual Festival of Trees event! We are excited to be back on-site at the Maryland Fairgrounds and to offer lots of updated experiences!

Festival of Trees is Kennedy Krieger’s largest fundraising event of the year. The proceeds help children and teens in our schools, clinical programs, hospital, research and community programs. Did you know that Kennedy Krieger serves more than 25,000 children and their families each year? By attending Festival of Trees, buying a tree or other designed item, or bidding and winning an auction item—you truly help make the season brighter for children with nervous system disorders, and their families.

Please check out all the designer-decorated trees, wreaths and gingerbread houses and, of course, the shopping marketplace. The auction items this year are simply amazing—from fun experiences to sport memorabilia to gourmet food and drink baskets—find it all at the Festival of Trees auction. And, you can shop, bid and track your bids right from your smartphone or computer, anytime of the day or night!

If you brought a new, unwrapped toy to our toy drive to share with a child in need, THANK YOU. There is still time to purchase a toy online from our Amazon Wish List and have it sent directly to Kennedy Krieger. Visit the Toy Drive section of the Festival of Trees website at KennedyKrieger.org/Toys for more details.

During this season of gratitude and giving, we thank you so much for helping kids from right here in Maryland, from throughout the U.S. and across the world. We’re so very grateful for your support.

Wishing you and yours a happy and safe holiday with plenty of time to enjoy the Festival fun!

A CCESSIBILITY E NHANCEMENTS

AT F ESTIVALOF T REES

In an effort to make Kennedy Krieger Institute’s Festival of Trees more accessible to the children and families we serve, we have recently made the following enhancements to the event:

• We have handicap accessible restrooms in the North Pole (North Hall.) These facilities can be accessed to the back of the North Pole (North Hall) to the right of the Fun House next to the other additional restrooms.

• We have a “Calming Corral” or sensory room. This is an area for individuals who need to take a break from all the sights and sounds of Festival of Trees. The entrance to the Calming Corral is located in the back of the North Pole (North Hall) between the additional restrooms and the Fun House.

• We have a wheelchair accessible carousel so that everyone can enjoy the festival fun!

• We have priority seating areas for individuals with disabilities. These areas will be located in the coloring and letter writing area and the food court. If you have any questions, please direct them to our representatives at the Information Booth located at the Festival of Trees Main Entrance.
