The mouse is in the house! Test your knowledge in all things Disney with this online trivia. Fill out the Google Doc as you watch and if you’re one of the teams with the most right answers, you’ll go into a raffle drawing for a Disney themed prize!

Orienteering is a sport where competitors use a map and a compass to find a series of checkpoints. There is no marked path, so participants must choose their own routes from one place to the next. Join us to learn the basics of how to use a map, a compass, and how to navigate.

Sensory Open Play

The Kenton County Public Library is proud to present 1000 Books Before Kindergarten a reading initiative geared toward children ages 0-5 and their caregivers. Help your child develop their vocabulary, build confidence, and be kindergarten ready.

Expand the mind, gross and fine motor skills and engage the senses in this learn through play program geared for young learners and those with autism or other sensory challenges.

Small Talk: A Book Club for Homeschool Students*

SCHOOL AGE-TWEENS ERLANGER: WED., NOV. 17 • 1:30-2:30 PM

Join us this month to read the award-winning middle grade novel, “I Can Make This Promise” by Christine Day. This novel is inspired by the author’s family. It is a coming-of-age story about a young girl named “Eddie” short for Edith who discovers family secrets and her own Native American identity. It is very timely and current. This novel is a 2020 American Indian Youth Literature Award honor book.

Cook-A-Book: Stone Soup*

Join us for this monthly program series where we’ll read a book and then cook a yummy treat! We’ll read the book, prepare some delicious soup, and make a craft while we’re waiting for it to be done! Please register online so that we can plan for enough food.

Dr. Iliana Rosales Figueroa appointed to Library Board of Trustees Dr. Iliana Rosales Figueroa has recently been appointed to the Kenton County Public Library Board of Trustees by County Judge Executive Kris Knochelmann. Dr. Rosales Figueroa has a B.A. in English and a B.A. in French from the Universidad Veracruzana, Veracruz, México. She has a Masters in French from 12 NOVEMBER 2021

the University of Missouri and a Ph.D. in Romance Languages from the University of Cincinnati. She is a lecturer of Spanish and French at Northern Kentucky University. Iliana’s research interests include Comparative studies on Hispanic and Francophone Caribbean literatures with an emphasis on the representation of power, resistance, and space. All Library Board members are volunteers. Each Board member is

appointed to a four year term by the county Judge Executive with approval of the Fiscal Court. Board members may be appointed twice for a total of eight years of service. In addition to Dr. Rosales Figueroa, the following residents are currently serving on the Board of Trustees: President, Maureen Hebert; Vice President, Douglas Stephens; Treasurer, Julie Roesel-Belton; Secretary, Susan Kinsella.
