PREPARED FOR ANYTHING
At Kents Hill, our academic program is both rigorous and supportive. Learning is self-directed and responsive. Guided by our outstanding faculty, students learn to work collaboratively to solve problems of contemporary significance.
Kents Hill graduates are equally prepared for the challenges of higher education, the realities of the 21st century job market, and the obligations of global citizenship.
LEARNING IS 4 DIMENSIONAL
Learning is real and relevant. Our 4D Academic Curriculum builds a foundation of knowledge, skills, character, and reflection. Project-based learning and independent studies give you a clear advantage over your peers in how you understand yourself and the world around you.
In partnership with The Center for Curriculum Redesign at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, Kents Hill School adopted the 4D framework to prepare students for the unique challenges of the 21st century.
DISCOVER YOUR PASSIONS
Our students don’t choose this or that, they choose this and that. At Kents Hill, there is space for students to discover interests in all areas, with a strong focus on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). Our new technology lab features a 3D printer, a CNC laser cutter, a computer science and design lab, and a multi-discipline collaboration space.
With these campus resources and more, our students are able to pair together art and design, science and engineering, math and computer science. Our faculty encourage creativity and critical thinking, helping students identify their passions and develop important academic skills.
AKIN FOR ALL
Welcome to the Akin Learning Center, a supportive environment with an “open door” policy where students can learn, grow, and thrive. Learning Specialists and peer tutors are available for all, with expertise in every subject.
The Learning Skills Program combines curriculum-based tutoring, executive skills training, and social-emotional awareness to help students thrive in all aspects of school life. Learning Specialists partner with students every step of the way and ensure that they are equipped with self-confidence, selfdetermination, and self-advocacy.
COLLEGE COUNSELING
Finding the right college or university that fits a student’s goals and interests is a core element of the Kents Hill School experience. Our college counseling program is highly individualized with counselors who become strong, informed advisors and advocates for our students and their families.
In preparing students for the next steps after graduation, we focus on their ability to think independently, advocate for themselves, and work collaboratively with others. Kents Hill graduates enroll in a wide range of outstanding colleges and universities and go on to work in many different fields.

IN YOUR CORNER, ALL THE TIME
Each Kents Hill student has a dedicated faculty advisor who partners with them year-round to help them reach their full potential, rallying around what they love and encouraging them to try new things. Our KHS-365 advisory program focuses on extracting meaning not just from academics and activities, but from every Kents Hill experience.
Advisors, students, and families partner together to develop and design a custom pathway for each student that extends beyond the classroom and reflects their unique needs, ambitions, goals, and growth.
When you ask our students what words they associate the most with Kents Hill, they say,
“HOME AWAY FROM HOME.”
98%

BUILT ON BELONGING
Students who know they belong learn better, are better able to navigate difficulty, and are ready to foster belonging for others.
Students find belonging and create community inside and outside of the classroom - in residence hall communities, competitive athletics, afternoon activities, clubs, and more.

HOME AWAY FROM HOME
There is plenty of room to grow, learn, and have fun on our 400-acre campus. Evenings are designed to support academics, athletics, and building community in the dorms. During weekends, students enjoy activities chosen by their peers and supported by our student life team.
In a community that is purposefully small, Kents Hill crafts a co-curricular experience where students are able to be their authentic selves and make meaningful connections that will last a lifetime.
HUSKIES ARE ALL IN
Whether you are a varsity-level athlete looking to compete in sports or looking to stay active in the mountains and on the trails, our athletic program has something for everyone.
Students enjoy a balanced schedule that lets them focus on their studies while simultaneously strengthening their skills in their chosen sport or activity. While at Kents Hill, students participate in extracurriculars each semester.
