This preservation project aims to turn the abandoned station into a museum of electricity, attracting children and tourists and hosting temporary modern art exhibitions. The project preserves the site’s unique historic facilities, including the natural gas generator and heaters, and combines them into a contemporary space.

Reading old power station is located in the northwestern corner of the city center, next to the Yarkon River. The station was initially designed in 1937 by Rufus Isaacs, the 1st Marquess of Reading. At the time, it was the country’s first and only turbine. Through the years, the station has been replaced by other modern stations and is no longer in use.

The GS Mall complex is 25 stories iconic white structure in Givat Shmuel, a traditional Israeli suburb. The commercial building concept is an origami building, and the unique form of its facade makes a powerful impression. With its distinctive elevations, the design stands against Israel’s standardization and anonymity of modern shopping mall architecture. We used Revit and BIM tools to plan this project and coordinate between different consultants’ deliverables.

The shopping mall contains fashion shops, a changing designer marketplace, and hidden storage rooms that occupy the floors and galleries. On the top and the fourth floor is a boutique restaurant with an open-air terrace and a gym facing a roof flower garden. The garden connects the office building and the residential tower, each with its lobby and entrance. The loading bays for all incoming goods and outgoing waste have been integrated deep within the structure, as technically possible, while maintaining maximum efficiency.

The facade is constructed from GRC panels. Curtain walls open the skin in selected areas - the main mall entrance, the office building’s lobby, the ground floor coffee shops, and the leading fashion store display. This external skin is ‘pulled up’ in particular areas, creating a paper resembling motion. This design reduces the building’s mass and gives it a striking exterior.

We developed abstract perforation circular pattern for the outer envelope in Grasshopper for Rhino. The cracks are more significant in places where the rooms behind the need to be illuminated by sunlight and smaller in other areas to prevent climbing. The facade is artificially decorated in the evenings, continually altering the appearance of the building as the lighting changes.

SAP OFFICE BUILDING WORKSPACE / COMMERCIAL

SAP’s Office Building is designed as a transparent cube, providing clear visual connections with the surrounding gardens. This Twelve-stories glass structure is one of the city’s most iconic new office buildings, and it features a dramatic atrium flooded with natural light and linked to all levels. Despite its vast glass facades, we reduced the thermal load by using aluminum rods to cool the building down. We designed the double-layer face with sections that opened for natural ventilation.

The entrance level houses a reception area and an auditorium. A staircase leads up to the atrium, where meeting rooms, glass elevators, staircases, balconies, and walkways create a lively working environment; six cantilevered glazed meeting rooms are suspended from the four and eight stories.

How can we solve the low residential density problem in the city’s auxiliary neighborhoods?

At Yashar architects, we developed a master plan proposal for Tel Aviv. The plan rethinks the connections inside Tel Aviv’s 32 square miles of buildable area, with our main focus - the southeast district. The connecting roads existed but were not continuous, and the solution was to create a hierarchical grid:

First, we connected the main roads to the central avenues that cross the length and breadth of the city. Then, at each significant intersection, we created a public social center. We also transformed two intertwined ring avenues into individual avenues. We connected the famous Rothschild avenue to the beach and created a new route in the southeast part of the city. The last step was to solve the problem of the freeway passing through the town, and the solution was to continue the streets and avenues to produce bridges every 650 feet, similar to the Seine bridges in Paris. We argued that the increase in population would come from the city’s development and as a result of people coming to the area through the new avenues - leading to the demand for the development of new projects.

The contemporary mixed-use building includes 165 private apartments- studios, 1, 2, and 3 bedrooms.

Magor part of the exterior is glass to maximize daylight and sea views. The rest of the facade is made of bamboo, a sustainable and commonly found material. Balconies circle the buildings to create a smooth and consistent outward appearance. The design maximizes sea view by dividing the building into three structures. The interiors are created from wood, marble, and metal paneling, while serene gardens invite residents to unwind and enjoy the view.

The principal architectural concept of this design was to challenge the perception of the African one-use tower typology. The tower is luxuriously designed in a western style, unique to the city. With apartments and offices on over 40 floors, this tower has three sides facing the magnificent view of the south Atlantic ocean and is located in a promising area. The exterior skin shades the inside using vertical panels made of aluminum.

This project is parametric research to Renewal an abandoned building. The building was a hotel in its glory days, and now we suggest renewing it as an agricultural school and student dormitory. This study is independent parametric research for a design exhibition. The project’s terrain is a diagonal mountain’s side, apparent on Israel’s main northbound highway, thus making it both a challenging and distinctive

Furthermore, the prior hotel rooms were “Corbusian” in nature (8.5 x 8.5 x 16 ft) and did not fit well with the pleasure-seeking guests. We chose a more practical, appropriate use of the cube-like spacesclasses and dormitory- and used the current skeleton to provide more variety to the cube’s dimensions. Interior size grows more significant as you move further away from the middle to provide shadow for the inner cubes and allow public designated spaces closer to the access paths. We opened the park cubes to illuminate the main circular path and keep a pleasant microclimate.

The old building had an unreachable grove separating the structure into two sides, meeting only at their edges. The new program suggested a circular pedestrian walkway inspired by BIG’s “Mountain” and “8 Tallet” in Copenhagen. We used the internal unhabitable area as a public park connecting all building functions. At the structure’s bottom, accessible with elevators and stairs from both sides, we set a cafeteria facing the scenic valley and north bay.

Research idea: Applying the structural principles of the human body’s spinal vertebrae to create a cell structure and parametric front.

My focus was on the constructive connections between the vertebrae and the joints. looked at the formative principles of the spinal cord to create a rotating parametric structure. The structure is built from horizontal rhombus-shaped frames leaning on each other. The frame system produces a rotation of 90 degrees from bottom to top - as in the human body.

The facade constructs from identical cells made of polymers. The space between the cells creates air holes, similar to a human bone. The facade shape allows for self-shading, thus saving energy. Also, in some of the cells, plants are planted to present a green front for the entire building.

Eco Givat-Shmuel is an urban affordable residential complex for large families. Located near Tel Aviv and Beni-Bark (a Conservative Jewish city) and is part of a new suburban neighborhood. In this project, I led a team of 3 junior architects while coordinating directly with the different auxiliary advisors and Israel’s most extensive residential real-estate entrepreneurs firm. The permit for this project was approved in under a year - record time in my firm and area.

The complex is on a 100,000 ft² lot and has two 22-story buildings and a 3-story underground parking area. Each building contains 114 housing units, ranging from 3 to 7 bedrooms, with six apartments per floor. Additionally, at the 3 top levels, there are luxury penthouses. There is a 30,000 ft² public area between the buildings containing a green space and benches.

We use AutoDesk’s Revit, allowing quick design and efficient coordination with external participants. The project met each deadline and was very profitable for the clients, selling all the first set of apartments in one week.

Proposal for Residential Complex FIRM

The “Herzliya Hills” design project is a luxury residential six-building complex adjacent to a central High Tech center. The center is home to companies like Microsoft and Apple, and the complex is a private neighborhood for the high-income population. This quality project aims to set a new standard for living in central Israel’s Herzliya, a mid-size city.

The complex offers a selection of spacious 3, 4, 4½, 5, 5½, and six rooms apartments across different floors. The residents will enjoy an outdoor park with ornamental pools, a gym, a spa, children’s recreational areas, and a half- Olympic-sized swimming pool with a retractable roof.

The buildings are curvy shaped and surrounded by balconies facing either the city’s public park, the mall, or the sea. The interior of the apartments is in the shape of a square for convenience and standardization. We used the zoning rights efficiently, providing maximum profit to the client.

We created a modern and contemporary space to reinvent and reinvigorate Pier 94. The project brings highly-desired public amenities to the Hudson River Park. The project contains: A lobby, Two event halls, An arrival hall, A restaurant is an industrial kitchen, A pool deck with flexible space, a Prefunction corridor, and A dance club with two mezzanines. The project allows for the integration of a future bridge over Route 9A, connecting DeWitt Clinton Park and Clinton Cove Park. The design will enable visitors to enjoy the stunning Hudson River, George Washington Bridge, and New Jersey views.
