annotations
1. The window display is tilted at an angle to allow easy viewing from pedestrians. 2. The feature wall can be seen from any part of the store and from the sidewalk. This guides people into the store and easily to the checkout . 3. The circular displays are spaced far enough to allow for clearances. 4. The elevator and stairs are placed a little away from the displays where there may be heavier traffic. 5. The mezzanine is shaped to wrap around the round elevator to conserve space. 6. Linoleum is chosen for flooring because of its resilience to scratches and its sustainability.

CONCEPT DIAGRAMS
The present is a point of interaction between a linear past and diverging future. Similarly, direct light splits at a point inside a prism to reveal various paths of color. “Giovanni reminds the community of its history and strength, while the lighting and art encourages contemporary thinking in traditional blacksburg.

annotations 1. The elevator and stairs are near the entrance for easy access. 2. The storage on the first floor has stacking doors to open wide for moveable partition walls and other large items. 3. The wall on the mezzanine extends from the bathroom below to account for plumbing gases. 4. The mezzanine is centered on the floor plan to avoid low trusses. 5. The water fountain is located close to the dining area.
