Welcome to the 19th Kerry Film Festival Welcome to the 19th Kerry Film Festival. We are delighted to present outstanding short and feature films from around the world along with national and regional programmes. Our opening film, TRADITION was filmed in Kerry and a host of local talent appear on and off screen. Irish premieres as part of the festival include MELODY MAKERS, MAD HANNANS, THUNDER ROAD and HAWAII and we are thrilled to bring WHEN ALL IS RUIN ONCE AGAIN, KEEPERS OF THE PORT, MAGNETIC MOUNTAINS and THE MAN WHO WANTED TO FLY to the Kerry audience. We continue in 2018 with DISCOVERY FEATURES, our platform for first time feature film makers with AROUND HERE and NO PARTY FOR BILLY BURNS and this year we partner with Killarney House for an installation of film during the festival weekend. Continuing our focus on Kerry film makers the festival will screen feature film, CON and there wil be two programmes of short films created by Kerry film makers. We welcome international film makers and their families and friends to Killarney to see their film screen as part of the festival programme. New festival exchanges with
Bolton Film Festival and ÉCU - The European Independent Film Festival and continued partnerships with Nickel Film Festival and Kendal Mountain Festival strengthen our network across the world. There would be no festival without our funders and sponsors, Kerry County Council, Randles Hotel, Killarney Chamber of Tourism and Commerce, Fáilte Ireland and the Arts Council of Ireland.
