Kappa Phi Lambda’s Project Cornucopia Submitted by Bro. David Campbell Chairman of Project Cornucopia Committee

In October, KPL Brothers conducted Project Cornucopia 2013 at the Wilde Lake Interfaith Center in conjunction with Iota Lambda Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (Howard County) and Grace Community Church. This year and for the first time, we were able to hold the free clothes give-a-way indoors. This noteworthy event was a success. Each participating organization collected a large volume of clothes and provided them to the attendees. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this event. There were fewer Alpha men who participated this year, yet the Brotherhood was still able to assist the families in need. Many thanks to the Brothers and a special thank you to Bro. Derrick Leak, who co-chaired Project Cornucopia. Photos provided by Bro. Larry Crouse and Bro. David Campbell

Project Cornucopia Part 2:

Season of Giving

KPL’s Christmas Giving Program in partnership with the members of the Howard County AKA Chapter was very successful. Collectively, both chapters provided gifts for children at the Grass Roots Family Shelter in Columbia. The Alphas and the AKAs provided the gifts to parents so they can wrap and provide the gifts to their children on Christmas morning. Photo provided by Bro. David Campbell

Dear Brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., I am pleased to invite you to the Annual Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Legislative Night in our State's Capitol - Annapolis, Maryland! For over 11 years now, the Alpha Night Legislative Reception has been the premier legislative reception in Annapolis and the benchmark that other organizations strive to reach. The 2014 reception promises to keep that tradition! However, the success of the event, as always, depends upon the collective participation of our entire Fraternity. The force of our presence is defined by the numbers of our collective participation. As 2014 is an extremely important year, it is extremely important that we fully participate to show our collective strength and make our presence known to those who represent us in Annapolis. I have attached the invitation to Alpha Night and please feel free to distribute it to your chapter or post it with your circle of brothers. Currently, I am waiting on a confirmation of our guest speaker. More details will be announced as we approach the date of the Reception. In order to keep an efficient count please respond to my office via email to: Brother Andre Greene - Legislative Assistant (Keith.Haynes@house.state.md.us) Brother Davon Bell - Legislative Assistant (Keith.Haynes@house.state.md.us) Fraternally, Delegate Keith E.
