Kettering and District Art Society Alfred East Art Gallery 15th June – 28th July The 114th Kettering & District Art Society Exhibition. This exhibition will feature many of our 120 members with a broad selection of artworks, sculptures and prints showing many diverse styles. Also featured will be a series of drypoint etchings produced by the KDAS Etching Workshop.
Never Mind the Critics, Here’s Russ Ingram Alfred East Art Gallery 3rd August – 14th September Local artist Russ Ingram was the People’s Choice winner of the Open 18 exhibition. For the first time, Kettering born, self taught artist Russ Ingram exhibits his collection of work.

The Tiffany Connection: a new window on Alfred East By Douglas Jackson Friday 6th September There are thousands of Tiffany stained glass windows in the world, but only six came to Britain and one of them sheds an unexpected new light on the work of Alfred East. Craft activities Schools of Painting By Ian Luck Wednesday 18th September Ian will particularly address the rise of the West Country schools of painting, especially Newlyn and St Ives. Why did they become such a magnet for many artists, both national and international, including Kettering’s own? Annual History Day Saturday 12th October In place of the regular Wednesday evening talk, in conjunction with Northamptonshire Heritage Forum and Kettering Civic Society, the Friends are hosting the annual History Day in the Corn Market Hall. The program will be announced shortly, but promises to be an exciting mix of short talks, presentations and town tours as well as stalls to browse in the hall during the day. A delicious lunch will be provided as well as drinks and treats throughout the day. Don’t miss it!
