The characteristics of the dominant material ( modacrylic ) comply with those standard requirements that refer to flame protection and also the antistatic resistance. The antistatic elaboration is enhanced by the 2% carbon fibre. The 38% cotton ensures the ventilation of the material as well as the expected comfort.

Examination of protective standards
EN ISO 11612:2015 A1,B1,C1,F1 The examination can happen with surface ignition and/or lower edge ignition. The material is appropriate if the conditions below are fulfilled during the examinations: the flame cannot reach the upper end or sides of the test samples; no holes can evolve on the test samples (only requirement at surface ignition); the test samples cannot melt and no flaming or melted waste can detach; the time of after-flaming and after-glowing cannot be more than 2 s.
MSZ EN 1149-5:2008 An electric charge is electrostatic that accumulates on conductive or insulating materials due to a mechanic contact and then detachment of identical or different materials. The most common reasons are friction, pressure, detachment, induction, temperature change. From the aspect of the risk of fire and explosion deriving from static charge, the materials are characterised by their sensitivity against electrostatic discharge. This is the basis of their MSZ classification. The extent of electrostatic sensitivity is defined by the minimal ignition energy.
