ABOUT KEVIN kevin.hall@wsu.edu 916.715.9640 Sacramento, CA Since my freshman year of high school architecture and design has been a major focus of my education. Being involved in my high school’s CADD academy is what really led me to the decision that I wanted to be an architect. Being able to have an effect on the built environment and peoples everyday lives is what really inspires me in my designs. Having a double major in construction management gives me the knowledge necessary to have a well rounded outlook on design and construction.

Greg Kessler Spring 2015 ARCH 403 Stephanie Chimonas Seattle, WA

This studio project, under the guidance of professor Gregory Kessler, was a collaborative studio with senior construction management students. The aims of the semester were to work cohesively in order to produce necessary documents as if the building were to actually be constructed. In doing so, myself and my team were able to produce a proposal, estimates, schedules, construction documents, and specifications for the Seattle Media Tech Center.

Greg Kessler Fall 2014 ARCH 401 Stephanie Chimonas Pullman, WA

This project was intended to utilize the components (both abstract and real) of water in order to create an educatorium. Located in Pullman, Washington, the project focused on the capabilities of water within the rolling terrain. In doing so, the final product is a building which allows its users to learn in open spaces for more collaborative and successful projects.

This project was designed to be a pavilion stall for the farmers market in Moscow, Idaho. Through the use of digital fabrication and technology we were able to create a project that could easily be able to set up and down in a timely fashion for the market. Our explorations of material testing and bending allowed us to design a structure, which through tension and compression is able to hold itself up. Weaving the boards together gave us the compression strength that this pavilion needed to structurally support itself.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION Advisor: Completion Date: Competition: Colleagues: Project Location:

David Gunderson Spring 2014 2014 DBIA National Student Competition Andrew Croskrey | Andy Ochs | Kelsey Stenvall Beloit, WI

The Design-Build Institute of America Competition looks to promote the positive attributes of the DesignBuild delivery system. When properly implemented, the delivery system can offer a quicker, and less expensive solution for owners. The 2014 competition called for a new recreation building design located on the campus of Beloit College. Deliverables for the competition included RFQ’s, proposals, estimating, scheduling, as well as submitting RFI’s, and awaiting any addenda that may be sent out at any given moment. These competitions allow for a glimpse into the realworld experiences of both architects and construction managers. My responsibility for the competition was specifically the overall design of the building. 29
