The Breathtaking Brenda Blethyn “Couldn’t-care-a-less-about-the-way-I-look” Brenda Blethyn might shock actresses with more glamour puss intentions, but the fact is our Brenda “digs” the interesting roles, like that of the dumpy Detective Chief Inspector Vera Stanhope in the crime series we know and love..."Vera"! She told a Telegraph reporter “I’m never late, I turn up knowing my lines and I’m very clean! “However, never showing up late, knowing lines and being clean did not win her a Golden Globe and an Emmy for her extraordinary performance in the genial “Secrets and Lies”; sheer talent did! The sixty-four-thousand-dollar question is can a gal born and bred in Ramsgate, a lass who began her acting career in amateur dramatics actually strut her stuff on a Hollywood celebrity red carpet and still get the prize? The answer is yes! Because Brenda is an exotic soul who knows how to get under the skin of broken people, ensuring her heartbreaking performances bring tears to our eyes. With her Sun, Moon, Mercury and Venus all in Aquarius this Brenda Lass is your quadruple humanitarian. Happy with herself, her lot and hilariously original, Super Aqui Brenda has an extraordinary capacity to get along with her fellow man, even though she is archetype loner. Perhaps she learnt that “getting along” technique when she was a toddler, the sister of eight…. brothers! Her dad was a chauffeur, her mum a maid and Brenda a one-off gal who dreamt of a career in acting, even though her’s was a secret dream! She started her career with a touch of amateur dramatics. But only when she enrolled in the Guildford School of Acting, studied thespian skills a while, and then went on to work for the National Theatre was she spotted by Mike Leigh and cast in BBC’s “Grownups!” She immediately morphed into the overnight success she was meant to be.

If you think you have that Brenda girl sussed, you are “barking up the wrong tree!” Very few people suss out Brenda. Blame her originality on Mercury in Aquarius. A combo that goes against the grain, shocks rather than bores. With a wacky ruling planet like Uranus on her side, Brenda is considered a genius by some, pure bonkers by others! The fact is, she probably came to this planet to prod folks out of their complacency! And on that matter, she will stick to her guns.

As mentioned, her quadruple Aquarian astro set up includes Venus, which ensures Brenda has an open-minded take on love. She is even capable of hitting the erotic edge in a detached manner, if that is possible of course. In her book, “Anything is Possible” it is also possible that her Aqui love spiel not only enjoys a lover but a friend!” And that is apparently what she got when she met Michael Mayhew, who worked for the National Theatre. After being together for years they only recently got married.

“I was in Las Vegas, surrounded by hen nights and chapels presided over by Elvis lookalikes” “Michael and I did talk about getting hitched. But never very seriously,” She told the Telegraph. “Once I was in Las Vegas, surrounded by hen nights and chapels presided over by Elvis lookalikes, and so for a laugh I called him in the middle of night to ask if he wanted to get married. He said, ‘Hello. Hello. Who is this?!’ It was always a bit of joke. But then you do start to realise that if one of you were to die and you were still unmarried it might cause problems legally for the other.”

For all her extro, could another Brenda be hiding behind Saturn in Cancer? Perhaps she just has to hide, since that particular astro combo is all about facing deep, dark fears of abandonment and loss. As she gets to the heart of her alienated characters could Saturn in Cancer inspire her astounding thespian interpretations? Perhaps cranky Saturn ensures aging, grief and fear never stop this lovely lady from expressing a truth that only someone of her humanity and stature can bring to life. Uranus in Gemini could be Brenda’s cream on the cake, making her naturally “simpatico”, an adorable nuisance; the kind of dame who would not scoff at an alien if it popped by for tea and scones. She would simply ask him if he wanted another cuppa! Our Brenda has learned that "strange" happens if one believes in something enough, in fact even little girls from Ramsgate stand on a Hollywood podium to thank the heavens for a stunning award.

The capacity "to climb every mountain, forge every stream, follow every rainbow, till you find your dream!" belong to the "likes" of Brenda! Philip Garcia Celebrity Astrologer

To turmeric or not to turmeric.. Turmeric and cancer prevention? Turmeric is the spice that gives curry it’s yellow and orange hue and some claim it’s a superfood. Turmeric is now popping up in Golden Turmeric Lattes and Turmeric Tonics Earlier this month a woman claimed that Turmeric supplements had cured her myeloma (a form of blood cancer).

Helena Gibson-Moore, a Nutritional Scientist said “Cancer is a complex disorder and although it’s understandable why simple dietary measures to prevent or cure cancer are so appealing in this very challenging condition, the reality is that simple narratives heralded in the media should be treated with scepticism”.

What do we know about turmeric and cancer prevention..? Curcumin, a polyphenol, is the principal active component of turmeric – although this only accounts for about 3% of the spice composition. Research from animal has shown that curcumin, typically in extremely high doses, may have anti inflammatory and antioxidant properties, and suggests it has some potential to inhibit the development of several types of cancer cells. The bottom line is while there is no reason why turmeric can’t be enjoyed in everyday cuisine as part of a healthy, balanced diet caution should be taken in thinking that turmeric is the magic bullet for cancer prevention or cancer treatment or indeed other diseases because these health benefits are currently unsupported by science. No single food or ingredient is going to transform the nation’s cancer risk. Healthy dietary patterns and other lifestyle factors are likely to be far more important than turmeric on its own.

Discover if April will be a month of positive changes for you and those around you‌

ARIES A brilliant idea at Easter is worth developing. You're tired of making money for others. Launching your own business will allow you to set your own hours and follow your instincts. If you've been thinking of changing your luck, the New Moon on the 16th is an ideal time to do so. It's a great time to restyle your hair, revamp your wardrobe or undergo a cosmetic procedure. Any initiative that will change the way people see you is worth considering. On the 30th, the Full Moon is great for making a long term investment. Opening a savings or retirement fund will help you build a nest egg. You're tired of living from one payday to the next. Use the final days of April to create a stronger financial foundation. If you have partner, your amour will be given an impressive raise or lucrative job, thereby improving your economic status.

TAURUS Easter will be a relaxing time. Take this opportunity to enjoy the company of your nearest and dearest in a low-key setting. Although you enjoy dressing up, you don't especially want to be working hard to serve others. If you're throwing a party, order food from a caterer instead of spending all day in the kitchen. This will allow you to connect with your guests. On the 16th, the New Moon allows you to let go of a period of struggle. Instead of dwelling on the past, you'll make a fresh start. Going after a job, courting a potential partner or launching a creative project will renew your zest for life. The Full Moon on the 30th could mark an engagement or marriage. If you've been longing to make a romance official, do it at the end of April, when your prospects for creating a lifetime of happiness are strong.

GEMINI Attending an Easter party will be lots more fun than you expect. You'll meet an interesting person who excites your interest in a hobby or sport. Let your new friend take you to a cultural event or game; you'll have a wonderful time together. The New Moon on the 16th is perfect for joining a humanitarian organisation or club. Working with a team will greatly increase your chances for success. Although you have great ideas, you currently lack the social connections to get them off the ground. Join forces with people who have extensive experience in your desired field. On the 30th, the Full Moon will bring relief from a persistent health problem. Getting an accurate diagnosis will put you on the path to renewed health. Show your gratitude by donating time, money or both to a good cause. Keep the positive energy flowing as April turns to May.

CANCER You'll attract wonderful publicity on or around Easter, when word spreads of your leadership ability. Your willingness to accept a thankless job is greatly appreciated. Thanks to you, an organisation that was on the verge of falling apart has been salvaged. Instead of listening to conventional wisdom, you tried bold methods that have paid off handsomely. As a result, you'll be offered an impressive job with a cutting edge company on the 16th. Don't be afraid to enter an unfamiliar field; you'll take to this industry like a duck to water. A romantic relationship will burst into flower on the 30th, thanks to a passionate Full Moon. If you're single, you'll meet someone special at a work conference. Falling in love with someone who is much older or younger is a possibility. Instead of worrying about what people will say about this relationship, listen to your heart.

LEO Easter ushers in an opportunity to travel, study or write. Being able to visit a country that has deep spiritual meaning will be inspiring. If you aren't able to get away, sign up for an advanced course of learning or begin work on an article. Exercising your intellect will pay off handsomely this month. On the 16th, you could launch an entrepreneurial effort. The energising New Moon will help you get the funding and publicity you need to make this project successful. Don't be afraid to break away from traditional business methods. Offering unusual products and services will be highly profitable. The Full Moon on the 30th is good for wrapping up a property matter. If you need to find a new place to live, you'll find one in an established neighbourhood famous for its historic architecture.

VIRGO News of an inheritance, legal settlement or insurance refund will reach your ears on or around Easter. This is a great time to upgrade your technical equipment. Buying a new smartphone, car or computer will greatly increase your efficiency in the early days of April. The New Moon on the 16th finds you making inroads to a close relationship. By forgiving a past mistake, you'll forge a strong bond that is virtually unbreakable. Don't be surprised when your sensual side becomes more pronounced; this is a good time to enjoy a passionate interlude with the one you love. On the 30th, the Full Moon finds you passing a test or getting a certificate. The information you've accumulated will attract the admiration of a creative person. Don't be surprised if you're asked to create a website or promotional campaign for an artist. Your ability to communicate powerful messages with just a few images and phrases is impressive.

LIBRA Working with a partner will be productive in the days surrounding Easter. Be open to trying cutting edge techniques, even if you've been steeped in an old tradition. Your willingness to try new things will earn the respect of your associate, who already admires your creative abilities. On the 16th, you might decide to get engaged or married. Are you already in a serious relationship? Your amour will get an unusual work opportunity. Moving to a place that is entirely different from your current home will strengthen your bond. Having your assumptions challenged and your lifestyle altered will force you to heavily rely on each other. Petty differences that once kept you apart will magically disappear. A handsome bonus could come your way on the 30th, thanks to an enriching Full Moon. If you've been longing to buy your own place, this would be a good time to do so.

SCORPIO An unusual work opportunity will be made on or around Easter. Take this opportunity to gain some experience in an entirely different field. The more varied your skill set, the easier it will be to land the well paid assignments you want. The New Moon on the 16th is ideal for launching a fitness regime. Taking up a sport, overhauling your diet and establishing a restful sleeping routine will pave the way for radiant health. A personal project will come to fruition on the 30th, thanks to an empowering Full Moon. A reference letter from an accomplished business person or political figure will open doors for you. This influential person admires your hard work and diligence. Thanks to their recommendation, you'll get funding for a project, get onto a training programme or be given money from a government grant. Late April is ideal for expanding your horizons; go ahead and venture into unfamiliar territory.

SAGITTARIUS Pour your energy into creative projects on Easter, when your urge to create something beautiful will be powerful. Putting an innovative spin on traditional forms will attract lots of favourable publicity. The New Moon on the 16th is ideal for going on a first date or going on a second honeymoon. Whether you are single or attached, mid-April will be one of those most romantic times of the entire year. Letting go of a grudge will be easier than expected on the 30th, when the Full Moon urges you to get rid of excess emotional baggage. Instead of dwelling on a past injustice, you'll turn your focus to the future. Establishing financial security will be easier when you adopt an optimistic attitude. If you get turned down for a job, express your gratitude for getting the chance to interview. Your positive energy will turn a 'no' into a 'yes.'

CAPRICORN The days surrounding Easter find you more ambitious than ever. This is a good time to make plans for professional success. Applying for a high-profile position or creating a business proposal will be a good use of your time. Your preparations will pay off on the 16th, when an uplifting New Moon attracts an exciting career offer. Being able to put your leadership skills to work will be liberating. You know how to motivate people while maintaining impeccable standards. A collaboration comes to a successful conclusion on the 30th, when the Full Moon cultivates a celebratory atmosphere. Make sure to attend a big wrap party. It's important to keep in touch with the people who have challenged your ideas, encouraged your ability and improved your skills. People appreciate your ability to give constructive criticism without taking the joy out of work. AQUARIUS The 1st brings exciting news about a family or community matter. This Easter, you'll be able to break away from a confining routine and enjoy a greater measure of freedom, either in a relationship or in your neighbourhood. On the 16th, the New Moon urges you to speak up for your beliefs. Defending the underdog will cause your popularity to soar. Lately, someone who has been marginalised or unfairly criticised has gathered lots of secret support. Everyone was so afraid of the chief tormentor that they failed to challenge their abusive behaviour. This will change after you make it known that such behaviour is entirely unacceptable. Speak as you find to everyone. The Full Moon on the 30th will bring a promotion or award for a job well done. Take this opportunity to bask in the spotlight. Your hard work has paid off, making it possible to advance up the ladder to success.

PISCES April begins on an upbeat note, when a job offer could arrive on or around Easter. This will be a wonderful opportunity to increase your income and expand your technical skills. Working with bang up to date equipment and the latest software programs will increase your appeal on the job market. The New Moon on the 16th will give you a chance to do work that is personally meaningful. In the past, you treated work simply as a means to pay the bills. Now you will have a chance to get paid by making the world a better place. It will be a refreshing change. A bold risk will pay off on or around the 30th, when the Full Moon brings a successful resolution of a legal matter. Alternatively, you may return home from a trip feeling better than you have in a long time. The end of the month finds you gaining impressive forward momentum.

Prostate Cancer Know the warning signs! Prostate cancer kills 11,000 men in the UK every year, so make sure you know the warning signs! Over 40,000 new cases of Prostate cancer are diagnosed every year. It’s the third deadliest cancer in the UK as the disease develops slowly, meaning men don’t know they have it for several years.

What is Prostate Cancer..? The prostate is a small gland in the male pelvis about the size of a walnut and runs between the penis and the bladder. Prostate cancer occurs when the cells start to grow in an uncontrolled way.

Many men live long lives with prostate cancer but it is important to treat it and stop it from spreading to other parts of the body. “Prostate Cancer UK confirmed the cancer kills 10,900 men a year but warn that this could increase to 15,000 a year by 2026” The most common causes of cancer death are: 1. Lung Cancer - 22% 2. Bowel Cancer - 10% 3. Prostate Cancer - 7% 4. Breast Cancer - 7% Source: Cancer Research UK

Former BBC presenter Bill Turnbull revealed he has prostate cancer. The 62 year old father of three, who joined BBC Breakfast in 2001, said the cancer was found in November and had spread to his legs, pelvis, hips and ribs. Speaking to the Radio Times, Turnbull encouraged others to get tested, saying: "Maybe if I'd got it earlier and stopped it at the prostate, I'd be in a much better state." He said he thought "old age" was the cause for his aches and pains. In February 2018, Stephen Fry revealed he spent the last 12 months secretly battling prostate cancer. The TV veteran confirmed he underwent a life-saving operation in January and is now cancer-free. Fry, 60, tweeted a video, with the caption: "For the last 2 months I’ve been in the throes of a rather unwelcome and unexpected adventure.

What are the symptoms of Prostate Cancer..? Prostate cancer is most common in men over the age of 50. In most cases, prostate cancer doesn’t have any symptoms until the growth is large enough to put pressure on the urethra.

Symptoms Include: ■ Needing to urinate more often, especially at night ■ Needing to rush to the toilet. ■ Difficulty in starting to pee with a weak flow ■ Straining and taking a long time whilst peeing ■ Feeling that your bladder hasn’t emptied completely

Wicca Pregnancy Spell helped Sharon Marshall ITV’s This Mornings Sharon Marshall announced that she’s expecting her first child with her partner, Paul Fletcher. Sharon said “I can’t wait to become a mum”. Speaking to The Sun Online, Sharon revealed she had “been trying for ages” and got some unusual help from her Emmerdale actress friend Samantha Giles who cast a “magic spell” on her.

Sharon, who is a writer for Emmerdale, explained: "Sam, who plays Bernice, does lucky spells and she did a lucky spell to help me get pregnant. A Wicca Spell is described as: "A magic spell is a ritual which is performed in order to bring a desired change in our lives". Back in January, Sharon got tearful as she announced her happy news to Holly and Phil. Wicca is a Pagan Witchcraft tradition. Today, the name Wicca is frequently applied to the entire system of beliefs and practices that make up the spectrum of contemporary Pagan Witchcraft. Wicca honours the Divine in the forms of the Triple Goddess, whose aspects of Virgin, Mother, and Wise Woman or Crone are associated with the waxing, full and waning phases of the Moon, and as the Horned God. The major festivals of Wicca are known as sabbats. These are held eight times throughout the year and mark changes in the seasons.

Samantha plays Bernice Blackstock on the ITV soap and previously said she met her husband Sean after casting her own love spell as part of the Wiccan faith.

Cleaning tips to make your house sparkle

Keep blinds squeaky clean Clean those dusty blinds with an old sock, some vinegar and a bit of water. Mix equal parts vinegar and water in a bowl, slip an old sock on over your hand and dip it into the mixture. Then gently wipe the blinds with the sock and you're done! The sweet smell of home To cover up any unpleasant smells in the house (or just make your home extra inviting), try putting a tablespoon of vanilla extract in a coffee cup and baking for an hour in the oven at 150 degrees. Estate agents use this trick all the time to make homes smell amazing. Spotless shower heads To clean limescale from shower heads, fill a small plastic bag with vinegar and tie the bag around the shower head with a rubber band. Let the shower head sit in the vinegar for an hour and then remove the bag and wipe off any dirt or deposits. Easy! Just make sure to let the water run for a few minutes before hopping in the shower. Nuke bacteria in the kitchen Kitchen sponges are breeding grounds for nasty bacteria and dirt. Disinfect yours by microwaving it on high for about a minute. Remember to only use this cleaning tip on non-metal sponges and make sure you allow it to cool before removing. Clever storage Store brooms with the handle down to protect bristles and keep dust off the floor. So simple! Dust-free lampshades Dusty lampshade? Use a clothes lint roller to clean it. Now there's a bright idea!

Streak-free windows Don't toss away yesterday's newspaper! Newspapers are great for cleaning windows without leaving any streak marks. Simply wash windows as normal, then dry them off with crumpled up newspaper for a super clean finish. Mattress maintenance When was the last time you cleaned your mattress? Chances are that it's been a while. But with this easy tip, you can deep clean your mattress at the same time that the sheets are being washed. To clean, sprinkle some bicarbonate of soda onto your mattress, leave for 15-30 minutes and then vacuum to eliminate moisture and kill dust mites. Barbecue build-up prevention We may have some time before barbecueing season but it's never too early to get prepared. Keep your grill nice and clean by rubbing half an onion (cut side down) on the heated grate before cooking. Stick the onion on a fork or another long utensil while rubbing so that you don't burn your hand. Tidy toaster Shine stainless steel by mixing a tablespoon of cream of tartar with a few drops of water, gently rub onto the surface and then wipe off with a sponge. How to clean the inside of the microwave Fill a bowl of water with vinegar and microwave on high to let the steam do the hard work. Carefully remove the bowl of water and wipe clean. Keep Chopping boards fresh Use lemon and salt to deep clean wooden cutting boards. Simply sprinkle salt over your cutting board, then use half a lemon (cut side down) to rub the board, making sure to squeeze out some of the juices as you go. Let the mixture sit for a few minutes, then scrape away the dirty liquid. Give your board a final rinse with a clean sponge and you're done! Credit: Asda Good Living

EXCLUSIVE:100 Years Younger in 21 Days.. We caught up with our very own younger looking and fresh faced Russell Grant as he returned from ITV’s ‘100 Years younger in 21 days’. In this unique experiment, a group of celebrities had undergone diet and lifestyle overhauls in an attempt to turn back the clock. The group travelled to Sardinia to have tests before trying out new regimes that were tailored to them. Russell had one major challenge: to learn how to swim. He said “I have always been terrified of water as I was pushed into a pool when I was younger, and ever since I’ve had a phobia of water. Managing to swim unaided was an amazing experience and personal goal. What you didn’t see was how petrified I was before the camera’s started rolling. It had been a lifetime fear of water but I was determined to finally overcome my phobia with the brilliant support of the group and production team”. Russell added “Now I’ve learnt to swim, I plan to continue swimming as it’s a perfect exercise that doesn’t put pressure on my joints and problem knee’s. It was also so heart warming to see comments on social media, that others were inspired with my efforts and also planned to learn to swim too”. The series highlighted that small changes to your lifestyle can have a significant impact on your mind and body. Whilst it’s accepted that not smoking, eating a varied healthy diet and taking regular exercise can improve your health, the emotional scenes with Sherrie Hewson and Russell highlighted how finding inner peace with mindfulness can also have a dramatic impact on your wellbeing.

Russell said “Everybody lives busy lives and your mind is in overdrive from the moment you wake up to when you go to sleep. Mindfulness is allowing yourself to reconnect with your body and sensations they experience. This means waking up to sights, sounds, smells and tastes of the present moment. It’s about allowing ourselves to see the present moment clearly. When we do that, we can positively change the way we see ourselves and our lives”. Russell added “It was inspiring to see how Sherrie released her stress and allowed her emotions to run free resulting in a new sense of calm and improved sleep too”. Sherrie said, “it was a breakthrough thanks to Russell’s help” and she was amazed to see that she had enjoyed several nights of 7 hours of sleep since using the mindfulness exercises.

The experts attributed Sherrie’s success on the show as a result of Russell’s help. For those seeking mindfulness Russell Grant’s Art of Astrology colouring book is based on the 12 key signs of the Zodiac, their planetary rulers and mythological archetypes. The book explains the Sun signs and planetary connexions and what our colour choices reveal about us. What makes it REALLY different from other adult colouring books is the excellent ‘psychology of colours’ chapter in the book, something we’ve not seen in other publications of that type. Russell says: “As a child colouring books were my favourite pastimes. The different pencils and crayons in rainbow colours were my greatest gifts from family: I still have them all now over 50 years later! Colouring in is an easy way to calm the mind, occupy the hands and release your creative potential. The repetitive action focuses the brain, blocks out intrusive thoughts and creates a state of peace of mind. With my astrological expertise and love of colour, I reveal the way the colours we choose can reflect how we’re feeling and how to interpret our inner selves.”

New Aviation Badge for Brownies easyJet, Europe’s leading airline, has joined forces with the UK’s biggest charity for girls & young women, Girlguiding, to engage more girls in aviation and to build a foundation for future study and a potential career as a pilot. The partnership is the first to be announced as part of Girlguiding’s biggest ever overhaul of badges and activities which will be revealed in full this summer. As part of this new programme, easyJet is sponsoring a new Aviation badge for Brownies. To earn the badge, girls will challenge themselves to think of 40 things that fly and put their engineering skills to the test, creating their own aircraft experiments with building materials, structures and launch techniques.

easyJet is trying to encourage more women to become pilots, aiming for 20% of its new entrant pilots to be female by 2020. The partnership has the potential to introduce 200,000 girls aged seven to ten to aviation and it is estimated that tens of thousands of girls will undertake this badge in its first year. Brownie Emma, 9 said: “I’m so excited for the new Aviation badge and to learn more about flying and being a pilot.” Captain Kate McWilliams, easyJet pilot commented: “Having been a Brownie myself I am delighted that this new aviation badge will engage girls in the career from an early age. I love being a commercial pilot for easyJet, it’s a fantastic career.”

Simon Cowell is heading to the BBC with a new Saturday night reality show They may have been bitter rivals for the Saturday night TV slot for many years, but the BBC have now enlisted the help of Simon Cowell to produce a new dance talent show ‘The Greatest Dancer’ which will mark the first time Syco (Simon Cowells entertainment company) will work with the public service broadcaster. With the success of Simon’s flagship shows including the The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent, his company will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the BBC. The new show is expected to air next year and will see dancers of all ages and genres competing to be crowned the overall winner. The show will be co-produced by Thames, the entertainment arm of FremantleMediaUK, which described the format as "full of warmth and heart.” Kate Phillip, the BBC's controller of entertainment commissioning, said: "With the continued success of Strictly Come Dancing, the BBC is undoubtedly the home of dance. Your thoughts are all over the place as you are looking for the logic in some recent happenings. Your imagination is working overtime which isn’t helping either. When you find yourself questioning your feelings, go for a walk or phone a friend. For one week only, let instinct guide you. Trust your intuition without analysing why. Allowing emotion to get the better of you does not mean you’re out of control. It can feel liberating to let your heart rule your head.

Change is just around the corner. You’re feeling nervous and excited at the same time. You are always more settled when life is routine and predictable but sometimes you have to take a leap of faith and trust that changes being made will be for the best. A friendship is steering towards romantic waters. It has taken a while for you to admit to the attraction but now you’re both ready to make an emotional commitment to each other.

Your best friend or partner is being too dramatic about a recent incident. You’re tired of hearing about it and if they don’t drop the subject soon, you will feel like dropping them. Expect stress related headaches if you spend too much time with people you aren’t getting on with. An aspect of your love life or social world needs changing. Stand up for yourself, speak your mind and don’t back down if someone tries to get you to reverse a decision.

You won’t shirk responsibility but you also anticipate having some fun with friends over the weeks ahead. If you’re organised from the start, you will manage your time so you can carry out commitments and fit in a little romance. You’re mixing with some important people, but at times might wonder what you are doing in places that make you feel uncomfortable. Putting on an act to make a good impression isn’t recommended. Just be yourself.

A friend or partner will make a surprise announcement. If they carry out their intentions, it will mean cancelling plans you’ve already made. This relationship will call for high levels of tolerance and patience. If you want to stay together you may have to go out of your way to try to understand what is going on with them. You need to talk and a heart to heart means an intimate talk in private so be sure to leave out a third person who is always interfering.

A glamorous invitation is coming your way. You will want to look your best for a first date or some social plans. Stop worrying that you aren’t good enough or that people won’t find you attractive. Your beauty comes from within and people will admire your calm energy. Be yourself and enjoy. You and a neighbour or workmate will be spending more time together than you usually do after you agree to lend them a hand. If this continues, a platonic relationship could lead to romance.

Uncertainty about a new partner’s feelings for you makes you tense and uptight. They enjoy your company so relax and stop feeling so nervous. You value your relationships and they will value your sincerity. Being able to share your views, ideas and beliefs with someone who is on the same wavelength is important to you. It will be even better when you discover there are hobbies, interests and pastimes you both enjoy. You can anticipate having a lot of fun together.

Being in love makes you feel warm and secure inside. An attentive lover wants to pamper you. You aren’t being selfish if you decide to make the most of every passionate moment you spend together. It will mean a lot to your other half if you accept all the affection they have to offer and this is your chance to enjoy a little tender, loving care. Are you single? You could meet the partner of your dreams in a night club or at a friend’s party.

Exciting things are coming your way. Relationships are surprisingly intense and the passion you share will change your outlook on life. You’re feeling romantic and dreaming of a future with your special someone. Being emotionally dependent on another person no longer scares you. Are you single? Someone you meet this week will inspire some of the most sensual fantasies you’ve ever imagined.

You strive to see the best in others and friends find it hard not to see the best in you. You’re sensitive to the needs and feelings of your family and you will do all you can to help anyone who needs it. Both at work and in the home you will ease any tension or conflict by being kind and compassionate. Someone will apologise, later, for being grumpy but you know what they are going through and understand why they are feeling that way.

Someone you have recently met seems to think they now own you. You’re not going to be happy when they start making arrangements involving you without consulting you. A new partner is talking more in terms of ‘we’ than ‘I’ and you’re ready to remind them of how much you value your independence. You don’t like anyone inferring that you share their views when this isn’t always the case and you’re starting to question if this relationship is right for you.

Arrangements you and a partner are making will give you a sense of certainty and permanence. Someone wants to spend every spare second with you and you feel the same way about them. You have found the person you want to spend the rest of your life with. A surprise gift or offer will make you feel very special and a trip you are planning will create a new sense of togetherness. Exciting romantic developments give your spirits a lift.

Treat your feet to some TLC‌

I can remember my Gran telling me years and years ago (when I was a youngster), that one of the most important things to take care of on your body was your feet because they are a tool you will use on a daily basis for the rest of your life. My Gran is now 92 and still up and walking around pretty much un-aided so whatever she did over the years has worked for her. It might not be all that fashionable but I wear socks with shoes at all times. I find my feet sweat more without socks on which can then eat to smelly feet and no-one likes a smelly foot! Plus, once it gets a bit moist, the shoes then generally start to rub causing blisters and sores. Even a thin pair of tights is better than nothing at all, especially if you find your feet get a little warm and sweaty.

Wearing shoes that fit is so important! I've seen older women's feet that would squash their feet into smaller shoes and they look terrible! The toes are all wonky and they tell me they have had all kinds of issues with their feet. Plus, there really is no reason at all to wear shoes that are too small for you, there are so many different styles on offer these days, how can you not find she's that fit?! Even my mum has size UK9 feet and she finds it pretty easy to find shoes these days. It's also very important not to wear high heel shoes all the time as they can cause issues to not only your feet but also to your calf muscles and even your posture as well. Like they say about everything I guess though, everything in moderation! Simple things such as making sure your feet (especially between the toes), are dry before you put your shoes and socks on is so important for the health of your feet. Conditions such as athletes foot is prone to those who have wet or sweaty feet that aren't able to breathe, and although it's not a serious disease, it can cause all kinds of problems but more importantly, it's uncomfortable and annoying! Other things to think about is making sure you get rid of any hard skin that appear on your feet, perhaps around the heels and ball of your feet. If left to it's own devices, hard skin will continue to get bigger and bigger and can be very uncomfortable. The best way to deal with this is to use something like a pumice stone on the hard skin areas after you've got out of the bath or shower when your skin will be at it's softest. Although many people think pedicures are more for beauty than for health, having one every now and then can ensure your toe nails are healthy and in perfect condition. Most pedicures these days offer a foot massage along with filing your toe nails and trimming your cuticles so you dot get over growth of the skin over your toes or any in-growing toe nails (which can be very uncomfortable). Pedicures generally range from around £15, depending on where you live. Dream Meanings Dreaming of dogs

suggests you have very strong values and good intentions which ensures success in everything you turn your hand too and guarantees great progress in life. Dogs are a symbol of your loyalty, generosity and protection. These qualities may relate to you or someone close that you know you can depend on in any situation. If the dog is growling or acting aggressively it could indicate some inner conflict. You may be doing something that goes against your values and you feel you are betraying someone to achieve a goal. This is totally out of character for you so you may be being led by someone that doesn't have your best interest at heart. Your subconscious is telling you it's wrong, you know deep down that's it wrong so this dream is giving you a "nudge" to take action or the repercussions could last a long time. Whoever is encouraging you will be the first to deny all knowledge and not support you in any way if your actions are discovered. Others will judge that you were the main instigator and all levels of trust will be lost forever. If the dog has puppies it's a sign of your inner nurturing skills and compassion. Someone close may have recently had a baby which has resurrected your thoughts on children or your own children may have recently left the nest. Perhaps now is the time to put your "mummy" skills to good use?

If your dream involves a sick dog it could relate to a friendship that you have allowed to become distant. Whilst your life has been busy, you may now be realising that you have been neglecting some of your nearest friends. These are the same friends you have relied on during tough times so it's time to rebuild bridges and reinforce these relationships. If the dog is dead, it could be a signal that your loyalty is waning and some of your recent actions could have been very self centred and ignorant. If you're feeding a dog, it suggests that it's time to revisit an old skill, talent or project that you have ignored for some time. Now would be the perfect time to nurture those talents and you'll be surprised how easy it is to pick them up again. If the dog is jumping or pouncing on your back it could be a sign that you are being too overbearing with others and getting involved in situations that don't really need you. An alternative meaning is someone else is becoming a pest as they are too reliant on you. Whilst you don't mind offering help and advice when asked, they seem to badgering you every minute of the day! Dreaming of a barking dog predicts you are being grumpy in your waking life. Perhaps you've been barking orders to people rather than asking them nicely. You pride yourself on your loyalty and generosity if you dream of give a dog a bath. But beware if you are dressing up the dog in clothes. This could be a sign that you are trying to cover up your own flaws and bad habits. Others will see straight through your disguise so best to be honest with them. You may be feeling unwanted and unloved if you dream of a dog kennel. You could have been excluded or shut out from a recent situation or relationship. At the time, you shrugged this off not realising how hurtful this was. Now you've had time to reflect, you feel very let down by their ignorance.

To help remember your dreams, try keeping a dream diary. On waking, don’t get out of bed or even change position. Keep a note pad/pen at your bedside and record everything you can remember.

Channel 4 sashays onto the dancefloor with ‘Flirty Dancing’ In days gone by the dancefloor was the ultimate place to meet your other half. Recently, technology has put a dent in old fashioned romance. So Channel 4 are looking to restore the dancefloor desire through one single dance. Channel 4 announces Flirty Dancing, a new five part series, which sees self-confessed romantic Ashley Banjo, play cupid using his skills as Britain’s best loved choreographer to bring people together through the art of dance. Before each unique date, two complete strangers are taught one half of a fully choreographed dance routine which has been cleverly tailored to illustrate their personalities and what they want from a prospective partner. The singles will learn their routine separately so that the first time they meet their match will be a first date like no other. Set on location, as if they’re living in a Hollywood musical, there will be no talking, just a few intense and physical minutes of an ardently choreographed pas de deux. Once our couples have completed their dance date, they will part still not yet having spoken a word to each other. But did sparks fly on the dancefloor? Ashley, who himself met his wife through dance, will match the couples using different dance styles meaning it could be a Waltz in Wolverhampton, a Tango in Tenby or even a street dance in Sheffield. Ashley Banjo said, “Dance exposes your true self – you can’t hide behind words or an outfit… Back in the good old days, three quarters of people met their partners on a dancefloor. I met my wife dancing; we really connected and got to know each other in dance class. There was a chemistry that I don’t think would have been created sitting across from each other at a table and just talking…

Amanda from Telford asks “Will I ever stop being at war with myself and making stupid mistakes..?” With six planets in Air signs, Amanda is likely to constantly analyse her experiences, her successes and her failures. Planets in Libra can make it hard for Amanda to balance what is good for her with what she feels people expect from her. When she feels she gets it wrong, she blames herself for making yet another mistake. Sometimes Amanda can be too nice, too loving and too giving and when relationships are out of kilter and there’s too much give and not enough take, this isn’t likely to lead to a happy ending. Amanda should strive for balance in her personal life. She may have a tendency to take things to extremes and developing interests outside her close relationships will help keep the drama down. She should stop blaming herself when things don’t work out as expected. The more Amanda keeps telling herself she makes mistakes, the more likely it is she will make them and she is unintentionally creating her own unhappiness. She might find that positive affirmations will help control her negative thoughts and change her attitude about herself.
