Delicious Smoothie Recipes from Aldi Ingredients 1 Cox or Braeburn Apple 1 Fresh Pear 10g Spinach Leaves 70ml Asia Coconut Milk Âź Ripe Avocado, peeled 150ml Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice
Method Wash and core the apple and pear and chop into small chunks.
Ingredients 200g Mango Chunks 200g Pineapple Chunks 30g Curly Kale 200ml Rio D’Oro Apple juice
Method Chop the kale finely. Put all the ingredients into a food processor and pulse
Ingredients 130g Four Seasons Frozen Summer Fruits, defrosted 1 Banana 100ml Cranberry Juice 15ml The Pantry Lemon Juice
Method Chop up all of the fruit, then place in a blender with all the other ingredients. Blend until smooth and serve immediately.
Ingredients 1 x ripe avocado 130g x 4 Seasons frozen summer fruits – defrosted 300ml Almond milk 10ml Manuka honey Juice x 1 lime 5g wheatgrass powder
Method Halve the avocado, remove and discard the stone and scoop out the flesh Put all the ingredients into a blender and blend till smooth and creamy

Method Chop up all of the fruit, then place in a blender with all the other ingredients. Blend until smooth and serve immediately.

Susanna would sit on the edge of a tall chair, legs swinging, her feet barely touching the floor, digging her fork into the potato, creating little mountains and valleys with the mash. Granny never told her off for playing with her food instead she would join in both creating a magical potato world, where everyone was happy, and nobody quarrelled like mum and dad. Susanna took on any job she could find when she left home. She waited tables and ended up working as an apprentice hairdresser. She shared a bedsit with two other girls, Valerie and Hazel. Dad’s voice broke when he told Susanna Nan had died in her sleep! Susanna was devastated. She could hardly speak, and for weeks sobbed into her pillow at night. She wondered whether Nana lived on in heaven and whether she would see her again. When Susanna discovered that the old lady had left her a beautiful pearl necklace and fifty thousand pounds she opened her own hair dressing saloon. The day she inaugurated her stylish saloon Susanna thought of Nan. She would have been so proud!
A year later Nana would have been even more delighted if she could have seen Susanna, a delicate lace veil around her shoulders on her wedding day. Perhaps she was looking down from heaven, Susanna mused as she stroked Nana's beautiful pearl necklace and said "I do!" Within a year Susanna’s marriage was in crisis. Ian told her he had fallen for somebody else. This could not be happening to her. Susanna took out her jewellery box. She wanted to stop crying. She wanted her heart to be strong like Gran said it should be but the pearl necklace had gone! Why did everything always go wrong..? She was bereft. She searched all over for the necklace, but could not find it. She felt cursed; life was on a downward spiral. The only person she felt she could trust was her business partner Fay a down to earth lass with a glimmer in her eye. When Fay heard about the lost necklace she told Susanna to text a psychic, she said she always did when she was in a pickle. “Give it a go, perhaps you will discover where the necklace is! Where is it?” She wondered about the faceless psychic on other end of the line. Were they real, would they look like a gypsy, would they tell her the truth? She walked to the car! Something was not quite right! As she opened the car door what she saw would change her life forever. There it was, the pearl necklace twisted around the steering wheel. She could hardly believe her eyes. It was Nan! Her eyes filled with tears, as she disentangled the pearls, and held them to her heart.“Thank you, Nan, thank you” she said realising life was not exactly what people thought it was.

Martin Clunes’ brand new comedy vehicle Warren set for BBC One An original comedy series which centres around the life of Warren Thompson, a pedantic driving instructor who thinks the world is against him, is coming soon to BBC One. Martin Clunes will star as titular character Warren, who is forced to move from the south up to Preston when his partner Anne’s father falls ill.
