The Apostle Paul described true worship perfectly in Romans 12:1-2: “I urge you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable, or well pleasing and perfect.” Commonly, worship is considered to be the singing and praise part of a church service. While that is part of it, worship is truly so much more than that. God is not interested in rote forms of worship; He is interested in a heart that cries out to glorify
Worship and Creative Arts Developing worship in the church by allowing the individual to utilize the unique relationship each persons has with God and with each other. Use interpretive dance as a means for praise and worship. New insights can be captured through visually seeing the meaning to the words we sing. By discovering the meaning of colours and prophetic symbols. By understanding the names of God and many other symbols and colours in scripture. Poetry is a great form of expression. Use poetry to depict a characteristic of God, or around the theme of a worship service. Art is another form of expression. Music and many other area’s of expression are just awaiting you as you discover the wonderful truth that you were created to be a worshiper and that most of all you were created to be unique. No one else is like you, as God delights to be in relationship with you.
