Before you choose that soft off-white, remember that dark shades are always more practical for doors since they are better at concealing smudges and fingerprints. If you choose off-white, get a second can of paint in the same color to keep on hand for frequent touch-ups.

Shutter Time

When it comes to accent painting, turn to your shutters. You can paint these the same color as your door, or if you chose a bold color such as red that you don’t want to carry over to the rest of the exterior, choose something complimentary like black or a shade of blue for an interesting but balanced look.
