KEY FEATURE Just 15 Minutes

By Ali Meehan

“Focusing on the small actions will help you not get overwhelmed with the complications of life.” Charlotte Clayson We all have big ideas at the beginning of a year, but sometimes it’s hard to stay motivated and by April have we remembered what we committed to? Here are my five tips for getting back on track in just 15 minutes a day. 1. Some time for you Plan into your diary a meeting with yourself! It’s not selfish to take some time for you - it is necessary. It doesn’t need to be hours, let’s start with just 15 minutes and spend that time listening, or watching something positive, or reading a book, or blog, or meditating – something completely different to your normal day to day routine. 2. Go for a Walk Step outside and look up! This is advice from one of my Mindfulness teaching friends and it really makes a difference to get out, look at your surroundings and enjoy some time in nature. A 15 minute walk when it’s all getting too much can make a difference to your perspective (and your waistline). If you drive somewhere on a regular basis, try taking a different road to the same location and get a refreshing view for your eyes and mind.

8

KEY TO MIJAS COSTA

3. Break down your work into chunks Your work can pile up around you whether physically, or mentally. Using the 15 minute rule, start a project, set a timer and work on it just for 15 minutes. If after the first 15 minutes you are ready to do more, continue. Or put it down and plan into your diary your next chunk of time. 4. Start each week with just one big thing to achieve If you are like me, even your lists can have lists! Instead think of one thing you want to achieve this week and using the 15 minute rule in 3 above, plan the chunks of time in your diary to get it done. 5. Write it down Journaling can be very positive it you want to mull over a problem, or idea. Grab your pen, or keyboard and start to journal what you want. Pick a moment in time (say 30th May for example) and write what your life looks like at that moment as if it’s happened. This will help you focus on what you want your outcome to be and what your life could be like if you take action now. Drop me a line and let me know how you get on – ali@costawomen.com or check out costawomen.com – free community for Women living in Spain, or moving here.

KEY HEALTH What is Massage Therapy? Massage is one of the oldest forms of healing. Chinese records dating back more than 4000 years document its use. The ancient Hindus, Japanese, Persians and Egyptians applied various forms of massage for different ailments. Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine, born in 460 BC, wrote papers recommending the use of rubbing and friction for joint and circulatory problems. Massage therapy is the scientific manual manipulation of soft body tissues (muscle, connective tissue, tendons and ligaments) for the purpose of normalising those tissues. It consists of manual techniques such as applying fixed or movable pressure, holding and/or moving parts of the body to enhance a person’s health and well-being. While massage therapy is applied primarily with the hands, sometimes the massage therapist will use their forearms, elbows, knees or feet. These techniques affect the muscular, skeletal, circulatory, lymphatic, nervous and other systems of the body. The basic philosophy of massage therapy embraces the concept of ‘helping the body to heal itself’. People choose to have a massage for a variety of health conditions including: • Reducing muscle tension and stiffness.

KEY HEALTH Is Cancer Screening Essential? Colorectal Cancer If you are age 50 to 75, get tested (screened) regularly for colorectal cancer. Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of death from cancer in the Western World. But the good news is that getting screened regularly can help find colorectal cancer early – or even prevent it. You may need to get tested before the age of 50 if colorectal cancer runs in your family. There are different ways to test for colorectal cancer. The most common is a sample of Faeces (Poo) being analysis (Faecal occult bloods), this is a simple and affordable test, available within any healthcare professional. Most people can stop getting screened after age 75. Both Men & Women should be tested. Colorectal cancer is a term that’s used for both colon cancer and rectal cancer. Like other types of cancer, colorectal cancer can spread to other parts of your body. The colon is the longest part of the large intestine. The rectum is the bottom part of the large intestine. People over age 50 are at higher risk of developing colorectal cancer. Other risk factors are: • Polyps (growths) inside the colon • Family history of colorectal cancer • Smoking • Obesity • Not getting enough physical activity • Drinking too much alcohol • Health conditions, such as Crohn’s disease, that cause chronic inflammation (on-going irritation) of the intestines, obesity and diabetes.

Provided by Medicare

If you act early, you have a good chance of preventing colorectal cancer or finding it when it can be treated more easily. Many people with colorectal cancer experience no symptoms in the early stages of the disease. When symptoms appear, they’ll likely vary, depending on the cancer’s size and location. Signs and symptoms of colorectal cancer include: • A change in your bowel habits, including diarrhea or constipation or a change in the consistency of your stool, that lasts longer than four weeks • Rectal bleeding or blood in your stool • Persistent abdominal discomfort, such as cramps, gas or pain • A feeling that your bowel doesn’t empty completely • Weakness or fatigue • Unexplained weight loss Don’t be embarrassed and delay taking action. Take action and play your part: • Watch your weight. Being overweight increases your chance of developing colon cancer • Get active. Regular exercise may help reduce your risk of colorectal cancer. • Drink alcohol only in moderation. Drinking too much alcohol may increase your risk of colorectal cancer • Eating healthy foods That are low in certain kinds of fat – and high in calcium and fiber – may help prevent colorectal cancer. If you have a family history, are over 50 or have any concerns then seek advice from your healthcare professional. Make screening part of your overall health plan.

KEY HEALTH Hay Fever Season is coming If you’re a hay fever sufferer, then no doubt you know what’s just around the corner. Hay fever season is coming and for many of us, sneezing, coughing, wheezing, runny nose, itchy eyes and even bronchial swelling all come with it. Many products and treatments exist to address these symptoms with varied success. One such product however, is standing out for many positive reasons. With evidence supported benefits, more than 200 published trials and with contented users around the world, many hay fever sufferers are turning to Pycnogenol® for reliable relief. What is Pycnogenol®? Pycnogenol is a unique plant extract from the bark of the maritime pine trees (grown in sustainable French forests). Key to many of its benefits, Pycnogenol is a source of antioxidant plant compounds known as proanthrocyanadins which have been shown to help protect cells from free radical damage. Free radicals are created by our own body’s metabolism as well as from environmental factors such as smoking, air pollution and UV light exposure. Needed only in small amounts, free radical molecules can begin to cause cell and tissue damage if they are allowed to build up. Free radicals can also play a role in hay fever symptoms, which is detailed later. What happens during hay fever? Allergies occur when the body’s immune system has an exaggerated response to foreign particles which it (in most cases, mistakenly) perceives as harmful. In the case of hay fever, this foreign body is pollen (but animal hair, dust and detergents are other common allergies). Once in contact with the pollen, our mast cells (a type of white blood cell) release the hormone histamine throughout the body (particularly to the skin, nose, mouth, blood and lungs). Free radicals in the body can further increase the amount of histamine produced by the mast cells. Histamines trigger inflammation which in moderate levels, is actually a positive thing (as it encourages blood flow and transport of other compounds to help repair tissue). In the case of allergic response however, this inflammation is too great and can make it harder to breathe through constricted airways. Histamines encourage the membranes of the nose to produce mucus, leading to the iconic runny nose and irritated throat. Through two main actions, Pycnogenol has been shown to assist with hay fever in research: • Anti-histamine reduction of free radical triggered histamine release. • Anti-inflammatory, reducing the inflammation caused by histamines that are released. Pycnogenol the anti-histamine Various trials have shown Pycnogenol to have an anti-histamine effect, combating this allergic response. The antioxidant compounds are able to neutralize free radicals, reducing the amount of histamine that’s initially released from the mast cells. Pycnogenol also increases the uptake of histamine into the storage component of the mast cells, rather than releasing them throughout the body where they would trigger inflammation. Pycnogenol the anti-inflammatory Anyone who has ever experienced blocked sinuses, red irritated

Provided by Pharmanord nostrils and constricted breathing will be well familiar with inflammation associated with hay fever. Pycnogenol has demonstrated anti-inflammatory effects that may counter this. Asthma, hay fever and Pycnogenol Many asthma sufferers fear hay fever, as the combination of the two can cause a lot of symptomatic misery. Asthma is thought to be caused by inflammation of the bronchi, causing narrowing of the breathing passages, increasing the difficulty of breathing. Hay fever can make asthma symptoms worse, as they both share similar mechanisms, including inflammation (leading to episodes of wheezy breathlessness). It’s the anti-inflammatory action of Pycnogenol that may reduce the severity of asthma attacks, according to some research. Trying it out Pycnogenol is a well researched and unique plant extract that is proving to be a successful solution for hay fever sufferers all over the world. Not only have studies shown its anti-histamine actions, but other mechanisms such as anti-inflammation associate Pycnogenol with many other health benefits. As always, if you decide to take supplements, you should ensure they’re sourced from a reputable manufacturer with an emphasis on safety, bioavailability and certified quality.

KEY HEALTH Chia Seeds

By John Stark

Chia seeds are a super food with lots of health benefits and are also the vegan egg substitute for baking or as a thickening agent for smoothies, desserts or jams. They are high in fibre, protein, fats from omega 3s, calcium, manganese, magnesium and phosphorus, all of which help to keep your body in balance, improving your blood pressure and sugar. Due to the fact of the high protein and fibre that chia seeds contain, they can reduce your appetite which in turn helps you to lose some weight. It’s better if you work out to improve your metabolic rate and help the transition to improve your health also from within your own body.

An Easy Recipe using Chia Seeds Chia Pudding Soak 2 tbsp. of chia seeds in one cup of vegetable milk (or your favourite milk such as coconut milk). Wait for 20 to 30 minutes then mix the chia seeds so they soak up the liquid. Add a ¼ tsp. of vanilla bean powder, (if you have diabetes, use Stevia - 2 drops per cup). ½ tsp. of agave syrup (if your sugar levels are OK). A small sprinkle of cinnamon. Add seasonal or your favourite fruit and a few nuts of your choice and enjoy your masterpiece!

Christine says: Apart from the fact that I simply LOVE music, I have asked myself to investigate what the healing power of music really is - and I am not speaking here of commercial music, but of sounds that touch the heart and with which you are inwardly in resonance: • It has a heart-opening and consciousness expanding effect • It promotes the freedom and creativity of your inner child • It supports intuition • It frees us from the constantly flowing stream of thought and brings us to a new level, from which innovative problem resolution is possible and simply happening. • It reconnects us with our primal trust • Actively used, it promotes teamwork • It strengthens the ability to listen and thus to empathize and love

KEY ASTROLOGY Astrology in Business Are you considering a new business venture or new project but not sure when would be the best time to start? If you are then this article may help you to decide! Did you know that Astrology can be applied to every area of your life, including your business? The 5th ‘International Day for Women in Business’ Conference at Andalucia Lab on 10th March this year was a great way to network and meet other like-minded and forward thinking individuals who want to ‘make it happen’ and I thought now would be an appropriate time to share some insights into how Astrology can help to make that critical difference between a business that starts off with momentum and one that limps along. This applies to anyone who is already in business or intending to start up on their own. If used to full advantage, it could prove to be an effective self-help tool... and this applies for men in business as well as women! Although it’s a known fact that astrology is, and has been, used by governments and big corporations for many years, general beliefs and mindsets are not particularly attuned to astrology when considering business, or even on a personal level. However for those who have an open mind or are just curious, there are auspicious times to start a business or new venture and it’s knowing when to start that can offer the best chance of success. This would usually mean doing a little ‘stargazing’ to apply the principles I’ve written about below but to help you along I’ve listed and highlighted aside all the necessary dates you need to check in 2017. Don’t forget that as well as the auspicious times there are also difficult and possibly challenging times to make a note of; i.e. Mercury Retrograde! Ok, I’m sure many of you will have heard of the Mercury Retrograde cycles, these are listed aside for 2017. For approximately three weeks, 3 and sometimes 4, times a year the planet Mercury goes into ‘retrograde’ motion, when it appears to be moving backwards in the sky as viewed from Earth. Mercury rules the mind, and is associated with all manner of communication including marketing, branding and PR, negotiations, contracts, commerce and sales etc. When it turns retrograde, from our earthly vision it is appearing to slow down and reverse, and during this period there is a higher chance of wasted

18

KEY TO MIJAS COSTA

efforts, misinterpretations, and slow forward progress. Mercury Retrograde is an important astrological cycle to observe for anyone in business, whether starting one up or just launching a campaign. Some common examples of miscommunication during a retrograde are marketing campaigns that turn out to be a waste of money, embarrassing typos in printed materials or meetings with a decision maker that are delayed or cancelled altogether. This isn’t to say that a venture started during a Mercury retrograde cycle will fail but you don’t need to give over to more hard work or disappointment than necessary, instead fix a date which doesn’t coincide. There are 4 Mercury Retrogrades in 2017 and the remaining 3 cycles are below. April 9 to May 3 August 13 to September 5 December 3 to 23 Another cycle to consider is that of the Moon! Knowing the two phases of the Moon’s monthly cycle can give an advantage when it comes to starting a new business/ initiative. Every 28 days the Moon moves through two phases: for two weeks it appears to be waxing (growing) and for the next two weeks it appears to be waning (shrinking). The Moon can be a reliable indicator of growth or difficulties encountered in the development of your professional/business life; the two week period while the Moon is waxing or growing is the time for activation; when it’s waning or shrinking is the time for retraction. In other words the most opportune time for a business or initiative to advance is just after a New Moon. As the Moon starts to wax and grow in size, imagine your business growing (yes, visualisation does help!) and when the Moon is waning take stock of your progress, make necessary changes and rest before taking your next initiative at the next new Moon. Ok, that’s fine you say but where’s the evidence? Well we know the Moon influences the tides of the oceans and seas on our planet, and bearing in mind humans are composed of mainly water – around 85% of our brain, 80% of our blood and 70% of our muscle is water - it doesn’t take rocket science to get the connection between the Moon’s phases and all life on Earth. Water

The tide comes in and goes out in exactly the same way as we breathe in and out and your business has a similar cycle whether you recognise this or not! Here is a list of the remaining New Moon dates in 2017, times are in GMT. Wednesday April 26, 2017: 12.16 Thursday May 25, 2017: 19.44 Saturday June 24, 2017: 02.31 Sunday July 23, 2017: 09.46 Monday August 21, 2017: 18.30 Wednesday September 20, 2017: 05.30 Thursday October 19, 2017: 19.12

Saturday November 18, 2017: 22.42 Monday December 18, 2017: 06.30 After a few months of using the Moon’s phases you may find your efforts paying off (or you experience less obstacles) and if it works to your advantage you could use these phases whenever you need help with strategic planning. Good luck, and if your business venture does take off following a New Moon action or initiative, please do let me know! Lastly, a note about Astrology for Beginners’ Workshops... these will be starting up again in the Autumn and if you want to learn more about this fascinating subject or would like a private reading write to me for details at astrology4everyone@yahoo.co.uk.

KEY SPORTS International Football

By Steve Billingham

Germany v England Friendly March 22nd Debut for Burnley’s Michael Keane at centre back and a second cap for Jake Livermore after an absence of 5 years. Germany keeper Manuel Neur was out injured so was replaced by Barcelona’s Ter Stegen. England should have been 2 up after the first half, Adam Lallana hitting the post after half an hour and Delle Ali’s shot was drove straight against when it looked easier to score. Nathan Redmond was one of several substitutes introduced during the second half for his debut but although England had been on top, Germany took the lead when Lucas Podolski bowing out of international football after 130 appearances hit left footed ‘der bomber’ from 25 yards into the corner. It was his first start for the National side in nearly 3 years and his 49th goal. I didn’t like all the passing back by England, I’d sooner see the ball blasted forward. Some of the distribution by the England defenders and Joe Hart looked a bit shaky at times. The short passes out to defenders didn’t always work especially when the German forwards pressed and closed down, it put them under pressure. The Germans held on for the 1-0 win. Roarin’ Redmond Apparently according to the Birmingham City coach, Redmond once cried four times during a match. Once when we went a goal down, then when the referee gave a poor decision against him. During these matches you have to swap and change – so I brought him off. That set him off as well. And when I put him back on, he scored a goal. And the waterworks started again. England v Lithuania, Group F World Cup Qualifier A first start for Jermaine Defoe in 4 years and a 20th international goal in 56 appearances. Half way through the first half, Raheem Streling received the ball on the 18 yard line and turned, jinxed and crossed for Defoe to sweep home. I would like to see Sterling do this more often (ie all match) because his runs and crosses produce goals. However, after 2 or 3 runs he was substituted. A touch and a drill home and substitute Jamie Vardy made it 2-0, his 6th goal in 12 caps. FC Sevilla v Leicester City A packed Sanchez – Pizjuan was the scene of the first leg of this last 16 Champions League match. The Sevilla outfit

20

KEY TO MIJAS COSTA

contained some good players such as Brazilian right back Mariano and the creative Steven Jovetic up front. Leicester keeper, Kaspar Schmeichel, saved an early penalty but the crowd bellowed when Sarabia put Sevilla ahead with a powerful low header. Is this Sarabia anything to do with the winger Manual Sarabia, the winger from Spains 1984 Euro squad and another example of Panini (sticker album) getting it all wrong when they featured him in the Mexico 86 squad? Wes Morgan lost the man he was supposed to be marking and Correa, amending for his penalty miss put Sevilla 2 up. Leicester livened up in the second half with Demorai Gray introduced replacing the poor Musa and after 73 minutes his pass found Danny Drinkwater whose low far post cross was swept home by Jamie Vardy, his first goal for 6 matches. Although this vital away goal gave Leicester a great chance in the return leg, Manager Claudio Ranieri was dismissed 24 hours later. Such was the anticipation of the return leg that a bar up Leicester’s High Street (an excellent one) the Orange Tree changed its name to El Naranjo de Sevilla. Leicester needed to win by 1-0 to progress. Sevilla left Yokatich out of the starting line-up and Leicester, under new manager Craig Shakespeare attacked. ‘Sevilla do not fancy this,’ quipped a commentator ‘They do not like it up em!’ Wes Morgan thigh-ed one in to give Leicester the lead then Marc Albrighton made it 2 with a low left footed shot. Jamie Vardy missed 2 decent chances to wrap the match up but egged on a sending off for Samir Nasri for a supposed butt. Nasri was already on a yellow card so had to go for a second. A bloke in the crowd also received paramedic treatment in the second half. Sevilla got a penalty in the closing stages when Vitolo was brought down by Schmeichel but like he had in the first leg he saved it, diving to his left to keep out Ngonzi’s penalty. The 2-0 win puts Leicester through to the last 8 of the Champions League and Sevilla went back to their hams and oranges. Judd Trump won his 7th ranking snooker title with a 10-8 victory over Marco Fu in the Players Championship while Peter Wright won his first televised ranking darts title beating Northern Irelands Darryl Gurney 11-6 in the UK Open. I had to chuckle at a piece by decathlete Daley Thompson in a national newspaper about Wayde Van Niekark the South African runner who smashed the 400 metre World Record in the Olympics running 43.03 seconds. ‘He might have run under 43 seconds!’ scoffed Thompson.

KEY MUSIC Young ’n’ Beautiful Dreams are basically stories and images our mind creates while we sleep. We all have dreams they can be entertaining, disturbing, or downright bizarre. Dreams can also be very vivid. They can make you feel happy, sad, or scared, and they may seem confusing or perfectly rational. There are many theories about why we dream, but no one knows for sure. It may be the case that people who use dreams for creative purposes naturally have greater access to the dream world!!!

KEY COMPUTERS How to Safely Get Rid of an Old Computer Do you have an old computer/laptop lying around the house? Don’t just throw it away. Computers have all sorts of toxins that are bad for the environment and what about all of your personal information? Passwords, account numbers, documents, e-mail addresses, phone numbers and other personal documents that you would not want to fall into the wrong hands. Before you dispose of your computer, you need to do several things if you don’t want a stranger to access your data. Criminals source used computers in order to find such useful data, PCs contain more valuable personal information than ever as people increasingly shop online, use social networking sites and take digital photos. How to delete your personal information 1. Save important files – Back up your files or transfer them to a new computer. You can do this using an external drive or a memory stick depending on how much data you have on your computer. 2. De-authorize your computer - Some programmes, like iTunes and Microsoft Office 365, only allow you to install software on a limited number of computers or allow a limited number of computers to access your files. 3. Delete your browsing history. Most browsers save information about your browsing history and, depending on your settings, can even store your user names and passwords for various sites. 4. Uninstall your programmes. Some programmes, such as Microsoft Office, may contain personal information such as your name and address or other details. 5. Wipe your hard drive. Once you have removed the data you know is there, it’s time to perform a factory reset to ensure you’ve removed all of your personal files. Simply deleting files won’t cut it. Even if a file name doesn’t show up on the list of available files the old file data is still there until it is overwritten and a bad guy can use a data recovery programme to retrieve it. For Macs, you need to erase and reinstall OS X. 6. Physically damage your hard drive - If you’re just looking to recycle your computer and are very concerned about someone recovering your files, take the hard drive out and drill some holes in it or you can have some fun hitting it with a hammer!

Donate your computer - You may be tempted to donate your computer directly to a local school or charity. However, keep in mind that most organisations have very specific technology needs. A donated computer might not be a good fit. Refurbishers like Computer City are better equipped to repair and upgrade older computers. We will ensure that equipment works well and runs legal software copies and that any ewaste is disposed of properly. We can then pass it on to those who need it, often at little or no cost to the recipient. Trading-in your computer – If your computer is less than five years old, chances are it can be put to good use by someone else. Usually, the lifespan of a computer is seven to eight years. Depending on the age and specifications of your computer, you can trade it in at Computer City for a newer model. We can even transfer your personal data for you!

KEY LAW Italy issues highest ever Fines in EU for a DP Breach

By Victoria Anzola – ww.seqqe.com

Italy’s Data Protection Authority, the Garante, on 10th March fined five companies in excess of 11 million Euros for the unlawful processing of personal data. The data breach was discovered in the context of a broader financial police (Guardia di Financia) investigation into money laundering by a multinational company, Sigue Global Service Limited, and four other organisations. The Garante says that the companies attributed money transfers to China to more than a thousand customers whose personal data was used illegally. Rocco Panetta, Equity Partner at NCTM Law Firm and Secretary General of ICF Italian Compliance Forum, writes: ‘As a result, the Garante issued five remarkable sanctions for the violations of data protection provisions (in particular the lack of consent ex art. 23 of Italy’s Privacy Code), respectively 5,880,000 Euros for the multinational company and 1,590,000, 1,430,000, 1,260,000 and 850,000 Euros for the other companies.’ ‘These sanctions are the highest ever issued by a DPA in Europe.’ See the DPA’s press release (in Italian) at http://www. garanteprivacy.it/web/guest/home/docweb/-/docwebdisplay/docweb/6072330 US privacy organisations call for annulment of the EUUS Privacy Shield

Human Rights Watch and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) have written to EU Commissioner for Justice, Véra Jourová, saying that given the recent changes to US policies and oversight structures, they believe that the assurances that the European Commission relied on as part of the Privacy Shield and US-EU umbrella agreement are no longer valid. The organisations say that ‘recently President Donald Trump has issued several executive orders that represent an attack on the rights of immigrants and foreigners - including specific provisions designed to strip these individuals of critical privacy protections that have been provided by previous Democratic and Republican administrations for decades. Concurrently, there has been deterioration in existing oversight and accountability structures.’ However, the acting head of the US Federal Trade Commission, Maureen Ohlhausen, has been reported to say that nothing has changed. The transatlantic agreement is unaffected by the President’s Executive Order. The FTC “will continue to enforce the Privacy Shield protections, and we hope we will move ahead as planned,” theregister. co.uk reports. Highlight is the Teppanyaki show where exotic food using the best quality ingredients is masterfully prepared on a hot steel plate right in the middle of the table. The chef will show you the unforgettable cooking display called “Teppanyaki”. Pepper pots etc are expertly thrown in the air and you must watch the trick with the eggs. Try to catch a bit of the omelette in your mouth when cooked! This is great fun to experience something a bit different or particularly if there are a few of you. Try one of the specially selected Teppanyaki menus which are great value for money. Ginza is open from 12.00 to 24.00. Places around the Teppanyaki spectacle are limited, so it is advisable to book. Food here is consistently of the highest standard, excellent service, Teppanyaki show makes for a very entertaining night out. Lemongrass Now established in the Doña Lola complex, Calahonda. Fresh produce and authentic cuisine with Thai chef. Open every evening* from 6 – 11.30pm. Booking recommended. Takeaway service available. We have eaten at

Lemongrass many times and in my opinion, Lemongrass is the best Thai restaurant on the coast with a native Thai chefs in its kitchen. Unusually the menu included Som Tam (Shredded Green Papaya Salad) for starters - exactly as I remember it – perfect taste with the small peanuts as well and it packed a punch with the chilli! Other starters include a selection of favourite Thai soups, Special Thai Chicken Salad, Glass Noodle Salad etc as well as Chicken Satay, Thai Spring Rolls, Thai Fish Cakes or better still, the Mixed Starter for 2. Main courses are made from Chicken, Beef or Lamb, Duck, Prawns or Fish. Personal recommendations include Chicken Green Curry, Crispy Roasted Duck with Thai Sweet Chilli Sauce & Basil Leaves, Stir-fried Prawns with Spring Onion & Ginger and Sweet & Sour Prawns (Thai style has a completely different flavour). There is a good selection of different rice and I particular enjoy the Fried Rice with Eggs. Lemongrass also serves a very good Pad Thai Noodle dish. Thai food can be VERY spicy, so best to ask for a little bit of spice the first time to see how you go! The Mango with Sticky Rice for Dessert is also delicious. The venue has a closed, glass curtain, outdoor terrace and limited seating indoors (which is air conditioned) so booking is recommended as Lemongrass is already very popular.
