HISTORY We first opened our doors over 20 years ago in 1991. We realised that there was a demand for a progressive, forward thinking organisation to provide a professional traffic management service to the construction industry with staff specifically trained to exclusively deliver safe traffic management services in an environment where there is very little margin for error. Such was the take up for our services, we quickly diversified the business to include design and training, thus enabling Class One to provide a high quality service covering all aspects of traffic management. Today, we still take pride in our old values of delivering our services to the highest standard at a fair price.

CLASS ONE DRIVING VALUE AND SERVICE SCOPE OF WORK At Class One, we are able to undertake any or all aspects of your traffic management requirements, anywhere in the UK or Ireland. From complicated motorway layouts requiring detailed and accurate coordination, through to one day off peak closures, where swift mobilisation and removal is critical to traffic flow.

TRAINED FOR SUCCESS TRAINING We are a Lantra Approved training centre for sector scheme training programmes and courses and have purpose built training facilities at our premises in Bonnybridge. This enables our team of trainers and assessors to carry out class room or onsite training for not only our own personnel but for external candidates engaged in work on live assignments.

SAFETY FIRST HEALTH & SAFETY At the core of our business ethos is our Health & Safety policy. Our approach to our business is “Safety First�. We employ a full time Health, Safety & Quality Manager to continually look into ways of minimising risk to our staff, contractors, pedestrians and the motoring public. In addition to our training programme, we carry out regular Tool Box Talks and random safety audits to help ensure staff work to the highest of standards. All our road crews are provided with work packs for each project including method statements, risk assessments and drawings. We also monitor near miss incidents which all contributes to a safer working environment.

Class One are able to carry out any aspect of traffic management including busy utility type work requiring a high degree of coordination to ensure a quick reactive response is assured. In contrast to this, we also carry out large major construction projects where planning and co-ordination is critical to our client’s programme as well as the overall success of the project. Our clients have commented to us “the more complicated and challenging a project is, the chances are Class One will be involved”. We get the job done properly. Our ability to design, implement and co-ordinate a raft of subcontractors including temporary safety barrier, temporary lining and recovery services has been 100% successful.

Our clients work on a demanding schedule of long and short term projects, with strict KPI’s. We are able to offer the flexibility and commitment necessary to ensure our clients can achieve their targets. In addition to being involved in the busy Edinburgh Tram Project, Class One Traffic Management secured a 5 year national sole supply deal as the Scottish Water Framework supplier. In 2010, Class One came top of the leader board of 140 suppliers to Scottish Water’s framework supply chain. Recognition for routinely performing and exceeding Scottish Water’s expectations nationally.
