Wonderful Days 2013 is
The Danish YMCA and YWCA festival for teenagers.
W
hen we arrive at the beautiful campsite there will be nothing more than fields of grass, which we in a few days will change into a lively place with tents, cafĂŠs, activities, laughter, music and joy. The campsite will have everything that is needed to make such a festival run smoothly and give you some wonderful days you will never forget. There are going to be so many activities that it will be impossible to get around to all of them. Some activities will be compulsory for all participants. But there will also be room in the programme where you choose from a broad array of different activities, such as sports, singing, music, water games, competitions, creative workshops, concerts, funny games and much, much more. Your group will also be invited to bring one or more special national activities from your home country. Our vision for Wonderful Days 2013 is a festival where cultures and nationalities can inspire each other, a festival where we can enjoy our diversities and experience an interesting dialouge between people. That people will meet across borders and hopefully achieve new friendships.
A
t some point during the day we will have prayer and worship in the common tent where the whole festival is gathered. One of the days we will also have a big service where around 1,500 people will attend and make it special. Most evenings there will be entertainment in the common tent, which includes singing, comedy, the festival band playing and lots of laughter. Professional artists will also give concerts in the common tent at night, which sets the frame for a fantastic party and good music.
Wonderful Days is the biggest and greatest event that YMCA and YWCA in Denmark has to offer!
All activities on the main stage will be translated live via FM radio; so international participants will be able to take part in the fun. At the camp you will of course be able to make a lot of new friends from all parts of Denmark, but there will also be around 100 international participants from all parts of the world. All of the international invited guest are from the YMCA and the YWCA.
You´ve been tagged
In the summer of 2013 it is time for Wonderful Days. We invite you and all our international friends to join. The festival theme is “You´ve been tagged”, inspired by Facebook, which will concentrate about the fact that every single one of us has a role in the community – nobody is neglected. God has tagged us and we are wanted on his Facebook-profile.

Transportation
The festival will take place at a big campsite near Hjørring in the northern part of Jutland, Denmark.
All international groups will arrange travelling to and from the festival themselves plus any touring of Denmark. You may, however, arrange your transportation in cooperation with the international committee of Wonderful Days.
Where will you stay As international participant you will camp together with a Danish local group. Everybody will stay in tents or caravans at the festival. This will be taken care of by your Danish hosts. All meals are prepared by volunteers and served in big meal tents, so you do not have to think about that. The local group will always help you if needed and be able to answer your questions.

Festival fee The festival fee is differentiated according to country so that everyone has a fair chance of paying. If you are interested in being a part of the festival please contact us and we will tell what your festival fee will be.
Target group The camp is primarily aimed at young people 13 to 19 years of age + their leaders of any age. All groups are required to attend with at least one leader. We expect all participants to be able to speak English, as this is the language we will translate to.

What is YMCA and YWCA in Denmark? YMCA and YWCA in Denmark created the following vision to inspire the movement in the organization: “Children and young people should know that they can believe in God – and that God believes in them”. This vision reflects the purpose of the movement and the need for a Christian contribution to our secularized society. YMCA and YWCA in Denmark are many things. We have clubs for children and clubs for young people in our parishes where they meet weekly to have fun through different social activities. We also have groups of Ten Sing. Every second year we have a national weekend event for the youth in the age of 13-19 years, and every third year we have a week of youth festival, which this year is called WONDERFUL DAYS. Besides the activities that we offer locally and nationally, we also attach importance to courses and training in leadership etc.
