Practicum one report

Practicum ONE Report CREMF Marrakech English Department Group 2 Teacher Trainee : Khalid Touile Host School : Zerktouni High School and Ibn Toumert High school, Almassira 1 Duration : One Week Colleagues: Elhoucein Elasri, Ismail Ouani, Lamya Toubati and Hind Elamrani The practicum was scheduled to start at 2.p.m but my colleagues and I joined the high school 10 minutes earlier to locate the school, get used to its properties and meet the administration. We walked into the school whose manager was surprised to see us but yet sat and talked with us. After seeking the mentor, the administration informed us that the mentor never expressed her will to receive the CRMEF trainees this year. At first, we interpreted that as a minor misunderstanding between the CRMEF and host school administrations but as we got the news that the same problem is faced everywhere, we had to leave in bitter disappointment hoping for the issue to be resolved as soon as possible.

The disappointment grew stronger after confronting the same outcome at Ibn Toumert high school where we were escorted by the CRMEF administration.

In short, the practicum week passed with no ELT class observation and no pertained tasks for that matter.

The least to say about the 1st practicum is that it lacked the basic professional features of education such as coordination, recognition, and responsibility.
