1) Major Project : THE VENDING LIBRARY
THE VENDING LIBRARY
THE VENDING LIBRARY What is the fate of a public library? The existence of a library goes a long way historically, and have since long ago democratized the access for knowledge – and in this millenium, knowledge and information is already very much accessible through digital dissemination and technology. The Vending Library aims to include technology, culture, and innovation under one roof. The three architectural questions that this project aims to answer are : 1. What wordly form should the library’s physical structure assume to survive in the data-saturated society? 2. How does the antithetical combination of an old aged institution and the modern digital dissemination of knowledge would materialise? 3. What is the spatial concept of a library that could co-work with different users and activities?

2) Project II Athanaeum : RENAISSANCE
break Past . Present . Future The architecture that contradicts your being, your psyche and your existence. The pure present, advancing the past, while devouring the future.
A platform of registry and new identification. The dissemination of overload data and information through collective activities. The project presents the journey of life and death through a hybrid sensation of a non-individualistic realm where alternative spaces co-exist each other within one bigger space.
Renaissance is differentiated into three main schemes : 1. Rebirth 2. Cloudforest 3. Closure All three schemes hold distinctive features and reasons of its existence. The schemes are broken down into programmes which the project tries to juxtapose two opposing conditions into one space.

1. Conidiospores The mold spores locate itself onto the host surface. This happened through wind-dissemination, of when the spores separate itself from the vesicle. Presence : Wind
2. Germination With adequete moisture, the spores will start to morph itself through germination. This is when germ tubes are porduced – a process which the spores release the fungi to develop and grow. Presence : Moisture
3. Mycelial Differentiation The germ tubes differentiates, from a generalized cell to a specialized singular organism. This is when the germ tubes further grow to form initial form of hypahes. Presence : Moisture, Optimum temperature
4. Feeding of host The fungis from the germ tubes would need food in order to grow into hyphaes. They would feed on the host, while decomposing it. This is the scene which explains the rotten-ing of an object. Presence : Moisture, Optimum temp, food
5. Mass of hyphaes When the fungis have sufficient nutrients to grow, they would branch out into hyphaes.
6. Mass of hyphaes These hyphaes would continue to grow into a mass of hyphaes, as a collective structure. Presence : Moisture, Optimum temp, food
7. Decompose, Recompose The collective branching of hyphaes absorb nutrients from the host and environment to transport them to other parts of the fungi body – mold. This is the life loop of decomposition and recomposition between the host and the mold.
7. Formation of spores Conidiophores are part of the branching of a hyphae structure, and towards the end of the tip of an hyphae would be the formation of the conidiospores. These spores would be stored within a vesticle, and when wind is presence, it will be spread to other surfaces of a host.
