Personal Statement With a mixed academic background in urban theories and design, I have developed a holistic perspective of context and culture and a passion for improving every aspect of human and others' daily life.
I pay as much attention to analysis and design itself as to the solid theory behind projects. My interests in psychology, biology and philosophy allow me to develop the methodology of transferring knowledge of other fields in my projects.
In my extracurricular time, the experience as an assistant exhibition designer in an organisation has provided me with a chance to consider the relationship between local people's daily life and home and time trace behind the space around them.

Food Waste and Its Impacts
Redefine Urban Ecosystem
Camden is famous for the Camden Markets attracting millions of visitors

solutions to the world’s rising population. However, food waste causes more damage to the environment than the accelerated loss and fragmentation of habitats worldwide, seriously threatening terrestrial biodiversity. To reduce food waste, humans have devoted themselves to optimizing waste management with modern logistics, ignoring the impact of food waste in the urban ecosystem.

Data Collection A sensing device was developed based on our design interest. Using Arduino Uno with different sensors, environmental datasets were collected on-site, including NO2 CO PM2.5 PM10 and sound. Then, we carried the sensors and walked on site for ten days in a row.

HIDDEN DRAGON
SHUANGLONG LANE IMMERSIVE THEATRE 2020 | Kaifeng Shuanglong Space and Scene International Competition | First Prize TYPE: Architectural Design SITE: Kaifeng, China TEAM: DA! Architects CONTRIBUTION: Site Analysis, Design Concept, Floor Plans
Kaifeng, a city of ancient history and past splendour, is being forgotten nowadays. The design approach pursues innovative reconstruction by finding an unexpected potential of the place concerning local cultural codes. At the end of Shuanglong Lane, we radically go underground and create an immersive theatre and museum, allowing visitors experience the multi-dimensional immersive underground space. Undoubtedly, this space will be an eyecatching point on the whole street.

RESILIENT COAST
FLOOD PREVENTION & REGENERATION 2019 | B.E. Urban Planning | Yunnan University TYPE: Urban Design SITE: Laohutan Ocean Park, Dalian, China
In 2011, Super Typhoon Muifa hit many cities in China, including Dalian. The site includes a coastline of 5 kilometres along the coast, with a creative design method applied to build a series of protective landscapes. The infrastructure will protect the neighbourhood of Dalian City in the southeast from the threat of heavy rain and sea-level rise, as well as bringing the necessary cultural, leisure facilities and socio-economic effects to the local area.

Kawagbo Mountaineer Huts 2018 | B.E. Urban Planning | Yunnan University TYPE: Conceptual Architectural Design SITE: Mingyong, Yunnan, China
Glacier Analysis
The highest peak of Meili Snow Mountain, the Kawagbo peak, is one of the few humans have not conquered. Mountaineers' attempts have all failed and caused several catastrophic accidents in the last century. In addition, the constant movement of glaciers as a result of the Indian ocean airstream makes the ice layers very unstable and prone to avalanches. The project aims to provide safe and comfortable spaces for mountaineers as a start point of their journey.

Taiyuan Art Festival Exhibition | 2017 Jul - Aug The 40th Anniversary of Reform and Opening Objects Exhibition | 2018 Aug - Sep Year by Year Objects Exhibition | 2020 Jan - Fab City Memory Hall Objects Exhibition | 2020 Jun - Jul Echo of Our Times is a local voluntary organisation in Taiyuan, China, devoted to collecting seemingly ordinary old objects through free donations from citizens. Each object is a time capsule containing the glory and dreams of a person, a family and a collective. We collected time and geographic information that recorded the past and presented them in the form of exhibitions. The project aims not only to wake up the public's memory but also to explore the relationship between our daily life and space as well as a sense of belonging and familiarity of the public during the rapid urbanisation.
