PEOPLE

Vietnam is a multiethnic country with over fifty distinct groups (54 are recognized by Vietnamese government), each with their own language, lifestyle and heritage. The Viet (Kinh) people account for 90% of the country's population, the left groups take up around 9 million people, contributing to the cultural diversity of Vietnam.


CLIMATE Vietnam is a moonsoon tropical country but each area has its own specific climate. Ho Chi Minh city (HCMC) has two seasons: dry and rain. Hanoi and Danang have 4 distinct seasons which are easily recognized


LANGUAGE The offical language is Vietnamese wit 90% population. The 10% left is ethnic minority language include: Chinese, Tay, Muong, Hmong, Khmer, etc. In large cities, most of the youth and people who are working for services center can speak English.


RELIGION Most of Vietnamese practice indigenous religions, worshiping local spirits, gods and mother goddesses (45.3%). Buddhism is the second-largest religion with 16.4% population. Around 8.2% and 30% of Vietnamese are Christians and religously unaffiliated, respectively. The number of Vietnamese practice Buddhism is not high but people who practice Indigenous religion and unreligous people usually go to pagoda to pray for good and lucky things.

BUS

Buses are mainly in HN, HCMC. Fare varies in different places, normally lower than 10.000 VND.

TAXI

One of the most luxurious but comfortable transportation. Thanks to Uber and Grabtaxi, this way is cheaper than ever. If lucky, you can catch a taxi with 6.000 VND/1 km.

XE OM It's the convinient choice for passing through routes too narrow for cars and buses. It's also the fast public transportation. There is not meter so make sure you know the price before taking it. Grabike is only 3.000/1 km.

HALONG BAY

Halong bay (descending dragon bay) was inscribed as UNESCO's world heritage for its limestone karstic geomorphologic features.


HANOI Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam and the second-largest city. With a lot of ancient attractions as well as modern services, Hanoi has ranked 7 in World's Best Awards 2015 of Travel+Leisure. Hanoi people are regarded as the standard of beauty and elegance.

This is a national park and UNESCO World Heritage in the North Central Coast region of Vietnam. It also owns the biggest limestone karstic caves all over the world.


HUE IMPERIAL CITY

Hue Imperial city is a walled fortress and palace in the former capital of Nguyen dynasty. The grounds of Imperial City were surrounded by a wall 66.6 meter height, and the wall was surrounded by a moat. This structure is called citadel. Inside the citadel was the Imperial city, with a perimeter of almost 2.5 kilometers.


DANANG The forth biggest city of Vietnam lies next to the sea. It is the combination of moutainous area and coastal beaches, which make Danang become an attractive places for tourism and relaxation. In fact, the city is known as "The best place to live in Vietnam".


HOI AN ANCIENT TOWN Nha Trang

This is an exceptional well-dressed example of a SEA trading port dating from 15th - 19th century. Its building and its street plan reflect the indigenous and foreign influences that produce this unique heritage site.


NHA TRANG

Nha Trang is well-known for its beaches and scuba diving. It has developed into a popular destination for international tourists, attracting large numbers of backpackers, as well as more affluent travelers on the SEA circuit. Nha Trang bay is also considered as one of the most beautiful bays in the world.


HO CHI MINH CITY In the core of the Mekong Delta, Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon, is second the most important in Vietnam after Hanoi. It is not only a commercial but also a tourist city. It’s the mesmerising gateway to Vietnam where traditional and modern influences live side by Can side.
