The National Music Museum of Jamaica (Revised Entrance)
Music is the heart of every culture. It is the rhythmic vibrations that brings us together. As the gem of Jamaican society, it is fitting that we encapsulate it in the form of a museum. At The heart of the museum is a Pentagonal gem that represents the five genres of Jamaican music: Ska, Mento, Reggae, Dancehall and Rock-steady. It is cladded in a brass skin to symbolise the wind instruments used. The intricate pattern was developed to showcase the dynamic nature of Jamaican music, it is constantly evolving. The building was designed to maximise on passive cooling in the public spaces and reduce to need of active cooling. The Foyer opens onto to a courtyard on the ground floor and it was designed with a series of operable windows on the first floor to allow for natural ventilation.
The trellis over the green roof is outfitted with a solar cell integrated into the roof sheeting. The auditorium is insulated with a high-performance soundproofing. It is made Recycled natural cotton fibers. Rainwater collected from the roof of the auditorium and the green roof. The water is collected from the roof, filtered and stored on the ground floor before it is distributed to the toilets and irrigation system. The gray water from the faucets will be treated and diverted to the irrigation system. The first-floor balcony was designed with a green roof to help with the cooling of the service area. It also provides fantastic views to the west of the of the harbour. The bar located on the south-west corner takes advantage other the views of the harbour and the park to the west. Located inside the bar is the Broadcasting Studio. The gives the guest a firsthand experience of the inner working of the music industry.

Grenada National Library & Cultural Center
Like the city of st. George’s this structure seeks to preserve the island’s heritage for generations to come. By utilizing the old French city grid, this building attempts to mimic the past while adapting to modern concepts. The building will try to link the past to present. The abandoned residence was retained and renovated to accommodate the new functions. The aim is to use the facades of this building as a backdrop for the atrium. The Library caters to all members of society and can accommodate a number of cultural actives. Additionally, the 2nd and 3rd floors of the function as an after school activity center for the schools along H.A. Blaize street.
The building is equipped with forty (40) 12V Solar Panels, capable of producing 6400 watts of power. This power will be used to power the building and the city grid. The building also have a 3000 gallon rainwater tank for irrigation and flushing toilets.
