In a plastic tub, prepared Pulp mixed with water Step2. Then mould and deckle are hold tight together and dived in the tub to create a layer of sheet (thin or thick according to preference) Step3. Before placing the layer of sheet on the sieve and the nylon sieve, it is well brused to remove extra water and folds on it. Step4. The mould is separated and then deckle is turned upside down on a nylon sieve to get the sheet. Step5. With the help of thread or copper wire or .S.S wire, designs are created on the sheet. Step6. After the designs are made, another layer of sheet is prepared by the following the same process. Step7. While putting the second layer of sheet on the designed sheet, a lot of pressure is applied on the mesh sereen of the deckle with the help of a spounge so that excess water is absorbed and no cracks appear on the sheet. Step8. The deckle is made to remove carefully. After that a cotton fabric is applied on it and over that a felt/blanket is applied. Step9. The whole thing is made of waterproof ply wood and the excess water is removed with the G-clamp. Step10. After the water has been removed, the sheets are left to be dried for a day. Step11. The dried sheet are removed from the nylon sieve and thus ready for use.

22 August’2015 Handmade and mill-made paper Hard board Awl Needle & Thread Adhesive Mr. Anupam Chakarbarty ORIENTAL – Step1. Handmade or mill-made sheet are cut into A5 sheets. Step2. A-5 sized colored papers are put as covered sheets on the front and the back side. Step3. All the sheets are put together and the edges are made equal by cutting it with a paper cutter. Step4. Points are marked on the cover page using a sample hole marker with a help of a pen or pencil. Step5. Holes are made by using a hammer on the awl on the marked points. Step6. The sheets are blended with the help of a needle and thread by sewing a pattern through the holes and knotted at the end of it. Step7. After that the holes are hammered to close lose end paper and the book is ready for use. ACCORDIAN Step1. Handmade paper is taken and folded in an alternative manner to get that . Step2. Two hardboard of the same size is covered with colored sheets. Step3. The extreme folds of the handmade paper is stick to each of the hardboard with adhesive Step4. Then the hardboards are covered and the book is ready for use. FLAG Step1.
