Married To Our Work
C
ongratulations to all our brides! Every wedding is different and yet every wedding is the same. Each wedding has a couple, a ceremony, a family member sleeping at the back of the church, a child running amok, and an overworked photographer. With that said, no two weddings have the same toasts, the same guest list or the same funny family memories and experiences.
I
t therefore follows that though every Bridal Expo may very well be the same, every Bridal Expo is ALSO different. That’s why at Kingston Bridal Week we say “…more than just a bridal show.”
I
n our first year we dared to extend the bridal show landscape from the traditional two days to eight days and boast 10 unique events and experiences. In our second year, we hosted the most recognizable face in the Global Bridal industry right here on our Jamaican shores, Randy Feloni from TLC Say Yes To The Dress. Now in our third year, we’re again changing the Bridal Expo landscape, by moving outdoors to the historical Hope Gardens. Thanks to Tai Flora Luxe for embracing our vision, we will attempt to transform the historical and picturesque entrance into the Enchanted Forest.
P
art of our focus this year - something embraced by our presenting partner Jamaica National Building Society - we decided to focus on the ‘Brides Experience’ and created a Bridal Registry App for our website. This immediately put us into direct contact with our brides. This year as part of the Kingston Bridal Week experience, we hosted several bride-exclusive events. The Bridal Retreat – hosted by Petals & Promises, Bridal Pixie Night Out – hosted by Fiction Fantasy & JNBS – and we launched Jamaica’s first Bridal Scavenger Hunt hosted by Hope Gardens and Zoo. The Bridal Scavenger Hunt saw over 60 bridal teams scour the grounds of Hope Gardens in search of over two million dollars worth of wedding gifts and prizes, the most fabulous of which being a Las Vegas Style party bus experience by Pristine Jamaica Tours. To our brides, congrats! And to our 2014 sponsors thank you!

Thank You To our Sponsors/Partners
Now that we are in our 3rd year and able to refer to Kingston Bridal Week as an ‘Annual Event’ we must acknowledge our kind sponsors and partners who have believed in our brand and who come back year after year. Without you this would never have been possible. Tai Flora Luxe, Vantage One, Phoenix Printery, Petals and Promises, Reggae Tech, INTUIT Concepts, Jamaica Wedding DJs, Spotlight and Flawless, Marcia E. Roberts Photography, Salon Innovation, Intelligent Multi Media, The Jamaica Observer, Power 106, LIVE STUSH, & Music 99 FM. To our Exhibitors What would a bridal show be without the vendors who actually provide the services that our brides want? Each year the KBW exhibitors are hand selected so that we can ensure a quality production and an exciting event. Thank you for making Kingston Bridal Week special. To our Michelle & Cortia Without these two, Kingston Bridal Week probably would have never made it so far. Michelle Cotterell is our event production manger in charge of all exhibitors and team members. Cortia Bingham, our sponsorship manager ensures that make our budget are able to continue delivering a high quality event. To our Volunteers & Models So often volunteers and models are overlooked, but without them, there would be no production and no fashion show. The Kingston Bridal Week team is pretty small, and our volunteers and models give freely of themselves to make the show go on, year after year. To our Brides Kingston Bridal Week was intended to make your life easier. We appreciate your patronage and your marketing. Without your continued support and word-of-mouth marketing, it would be hard to imagine making it a 3rd year.
