Produced for Wedding Spectacular 2015
Editor’s Note
Congratulations to all our brides-to-be! Every Wedding is different and yet every wedding is the same. Each Wedding has a couple, a ceremony, someone’s uncle sleeping at the back of the church, someone’s child running around, and an overworked photographer. With that said, no two weddings have the same toasts, the same guest list or the same embarrassing family stories and family members. It therefore follows that though every Bridal Expo may very well be the same, every Bridal Expo is ALSO different. Wedding Spectacular is a very dynamic brand that is forever growing and evolving in keeping with global bridal trends. This year Wedding Spectacular’s focus is primarily on bridging the gab between our brides-to-be and our exhibitors. With so many bridal vendors across the island, Wedding Spectacular is the perfect platform to connect brides-to-be to Jamaica’s leading vendors in one venue. In its truest sense, Wedding Spectacular embraces everything you’d expect at a pop-up mall. As part of our lead up activities this year, we hosted three exclusive in-store promotions –at Salon Innovation, Face Forward Cosmetics & Bliss Bridal Boutique. The response from our brides-to-be was so encouraging, that we are considering incorporating more pre-event activities as a staple part of the Wedding Spectacular experience. To our Brides-to-be, Congratulations! And to our Sponsors (new and repeat) Thank You! To our exhibitors, volunteers and supporters thank you; we couldn’t have done this without you. Special thanks to our presenting and associate partners; Jamaica National Building Society, Smirnoff, Johnnie Walker, Baileys, Jamaica Observer, Fly Jamaica, Reggae Tech, Vantage One and New Levels If you would like to participate in next year’s event, or have thoughts or ideas about how we may improve this event, please drop us a line at intuiticoncepts@gmail.com. Tips for choosing Bridesmaid Dresses
1.Think about your gown and overall wedding style. Is it classic, modern, or maybe vintage? Your bridesmaids’ dresses should fit the vibe. 2. Think seriously about the color. Don’t expect everyone to cast a bronze glow 3. Consider the season and time of day. 4. Be flexible (to a point). Most bridesmaids would like to have some input on what the’re wearing, but too many opinions can make the whole process miserable 5. Remember, it’s your day. “Don’t succumb to pressure to make everyone happy,”

TIPS TO HEALTHY HAIR
1. Wash oily hair more frequently. How often you wash your hair should be based on how much oil your scalp produces. 2. Concentrate shampoo on the scalp. When washing your hair, concentrate on cleaning primarily the scalp. 3. Use conditioner after every shampoo. Using a conditioner can significantly improve the look of damaged or weathered hair by increasing shine and improving strength. 4. Concentrate conditioner on the tips of the hair. Because conditioners can make fine hair look limp, they only should be used on the tips of the hair and not on the scalp or length of the hair. 5. Choose a shampoo and conditioner formulated specifically for your hair type. If your hair is damaged or chemically treated, consider a “2-in-1 shampoo. 6. Protect hair when swimming. Protect your hair from the damaging effects of chlorine by wetting and conditioning your hair before swimming. Wear a tight-fitting swim cap and use a specially formulated swimmers shampoo and deep conditioner after swimming to replace lost moisture.

Say “I do” to a JN Bridal Registry Account If you were invited to name your dream wedding gift, what would it be? For some couples it may be a trip to an exotic vacation destination, a motor car, or even a more practical gift, such as getting the required capital to finance your next personal acquisition as husband and wife. However, while you may not be able to make these seemingly extravagant special requests to your relatives and friends, whom you plan to invite to the ceremony, you can still possibly realise your dream through a Bridal Registry Account at the Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS). The JN Bridal Registry Account provides you with the option to receive cash gifts through direct deposits by persons on your invitation list, to whom to send a card with your bridal registry account number. It is a hassle-free process. Account owners then have the opportunity to use the funds deposited for their own purpose and in any manner they wish. This contemporary and tasteful wedding gift option also eliminates the stress of guests having to find that “perfect gift.” Therefore, no more tiresome trips to the stores or indecisiveness, as the only things required are: the registry account
number and the sum to be deposited. At Jamaica National, it is our core responsibility to create avenues for our members to attain their goals and dreams through a stable financial status; and, the option of opening a JN Bridal Registry Account is an attractive and contemporary way to allow newlyweds to kick-start their financial journey together. As the premier financial sponsor of Wedding Spectacular 2015, Jamaica National welcomes the opportunity to be on board for this year’s staging; and, out team will be on hand, at the expo, to offer sound and valuable financial advice to patrons. Through our expert financial advisors, patrons of the spectacular will be guided about principles of proper money management, which will not only help them to finance their wedding; but, also to ensure that their financial health will never be compromised. At Jamaica National, “we will help you find a way!” Jamaica National Building Society Tel: 926-1344 | Website: www.jnbs.com

The Benefits of Renting a Tent: As a bride you may be torn between having your wedding indoors or outdoors as you want a beautiful view but are drawn to the safety of having an indoor wedding. Worry not as you can rent a tent and get the most gorgeous view of the ocean front and still be protected if rain falls. While outdoor weddings do carry a cost, what a lot of brides are not aware of is that renting a tent can actually work out to be cheaper than booking a banquet hall or other indoor venues An outdoor wedding is more scenic and offers a certain “je ne sais quoi” than an indoor venue would. Renting an outdoor space such as a park, garden or beach is less expensive and in some cases can even be free. If you or someone you know owns a property that you and your spouse are in-love with then a tent can be easily erected in the said space to create your own unique space. With Tent City Rentals you can get the best of both worlds as you can rent one of our large tents on our highest poles (10ft) that allows for you to enjoy the view. You can also enclose the tent to accommodate the air conditioning for your intimate setting. You could go ½ & ½ mixing solid and clear side walls with an A/C allowing you to section off your uniquely created space and still having the wonderful ocean front view of the outdoor. Your wedding is about YOU AND YOUR SPOUSE. So rent a tent and create a beautiful masterpiece that describes you and your spouse!

I can’t say enough about Jamaica Wedding DJs professionalism. The day of the wedding was amazing and on another level - the DJ timed our wedding processional songs perfectly. The reception was absolutely off the hook - we provided him with about 20 songs that we liked and he filled in the gaps with similar music that we didn’t even remember existed,” raves one past client.
