Life Essentials® is our proprietary curriculum designed to nurture, educate, and inspire your child. This unique, holistic curriculum focuses on the development of 6 key outcomes: Character, Confidence, Curiosity, Connection, Critical Thinking, and Creative Expression. Life Essentials’ supporting programs, methods, activities, and techniques help children blossom into prepared students and good citizens. In other words, our curriculum gives your child a happier, healthier, more wellrounded foundation for the future.
School-age children have busy days and even busier minds. Their academic day is full of juggling assignments, friendships, and extracurricular activities. At Kiddie Academy®, we appreciate their busy schedules and we understand that the learning continues even when they’re not in a classroom. They crave the freedom to discover the things that interest them most, with the structure to build the essential skills for their futures.
The Creative Explorers curriculum is a fun, innovative way for children to explore their interests. We offer a variety of clubs, each designed to nurture existing passions or introduce new ones. The club format sparks imagination and motivates children to participate in exciting and challenging activities and projects.
Children learn best when engaged in hands-on activities. The Science Club encourages children to ask why or how something happens and then motivates them to figure out how to get the answer. Our school-age children have a choice to join the Discovery Club, Environmental Science Club, and Zoology Club. They create and participate in fun, hands-on experiments.
Technology is woven into the day as a natural extension of learning. The school-age classrooms may be equipped with interactive white boards, tablets, and computers. Children use technology to create projects in the Filmmakers Club, Photographers Club, Publishers Club, and Web Designers Club.
The Engineering Club introduces children to architectural, civil, mechanical, and structural engineering. It allows them to participate in activities which reinforce their problem-solving
skills. Our Engineering Club inspires school-age children to build on their natural curiosity, teaching concepts through hands-on activities.
Literacy Club
Kiddie Academy understands how important it is for school-age children to improve their reading comprehension skills. We offer a Book Club, Poetry Club, and Writing Club for school-age children. The students read and analyze chapter books while demonstrating an understanding of the text by completing fun activities.
Creative Arts Club
The Creative Explorers curriculum provides ample opportunities for children to expand their imaginations through integrated learning experiences. It’s part of our Life Essentials curriculum. Some children choose to join the 3-D Art Club where they use imagination and problem-solving skills to create art. Children can also
flex their creativity in the Painting Club, where various tools and techniques are explored.
Before and after a day at school, we reinforce healthy habits by serving nutritious snacks and taking part in physical activity. Healthy choices now empower children to make healthy decisions later in life.
Character Education is integrated into the Creative Explorers curriculum. Activities often encourage cooperation among the children. Our small group environment allows educators to guide children individually and in groups towards the completion of their projects. Each month we focus on positive values like honesty, generosity, and patience. We help children better understand the society we live in so they can develop into caring and responsible citizens. Our educators initiate discussions on respecting others, being helpful, and encouraging involvement within their community.
