How do you feel about winning? Sophie: Surprised and happy! Didn't think that we would win, there was lots of competition. Q. What are you going to do to make the school better? Sophie: stop the wasteful use of plastic bags in the morning. Try to get elementary schools to be more socially active regarding racism and sexism. Westin: I like to work with other people and make sure everyone gets heard.

Q. How did you come up with your speech? Sophie: I didn't want to brag, I wanted to talk about my ideas. Westin: My brother and my mom helPed with ideas but I wrote it all and came up with the flyers. Q. How do you feel about the other student council members? Westin: lt's going to be a good year, they're all really good. Sophie: I agree, but there are so many talented people here that it would have worked out even if I hadn't won.

Flash Mob

My stuffy is a unicorn bear thing. And it had a tick on it! At first I thought it was a ladybug. But then the teacher saw it and said that it was a tick. And ticks can suck your blood. So it's a good thing that I noticed it before it sucked any of our blood. At first I wanted to keep it because I like bugs. But the teacher said we should put it back outside instead. But now Some people are also scared because literally there might be some more ticks on my stuffy.

By Liam Westdijk Yesterday was the flash mob onlY Kindergarten,l,2 grade are doing it. We did it on church street. lt was really fun after that we got to go back inside and listen to one of Mr. Leal's stories.
