Spring Hill Campus
Dear Friends, The College is bustling with excitement as the holidays approach…the weather is cool and crisp, faculty and students are preparing for finals, registration for next semester is underway and administrators are planning for the New Year and the start of the 2013 spring term. This academic year has been particularly eventful, as we are in the midst of celebrating PHCC’s 40th anniversary. To recognize four decades of service and remarkable growth, each campus hosted a 40th anniversary party that included faculty, staff, students and the community. In April, the Foundation will host a fundraiser at the 4G+1 Ranch to honor our 40th anniversary. More details about this exciting event will be announced soon. As you may have noticed, the spirit of our 40th celebration has accented virtually every gathering, publication and event that has been held and will be hosted throughout this entire academic year. The campuses are decorated with flags and banners, many of our faculty and staff are proudly wearing anniversary shirts, ties and scarves, and our new website has a page dedicated to our many accomplished alumni.
PHCC is very proud of its history—the theme of this new 2013 calendar. We hope you enjoy this view of PHCC through photos and take note of the college’s many current accomplishments. The calendar also features select scholarship recipients, a few of many deserving students that receive close to $675,000 in funds awarded annually to support their academic studies and dreams. PHCC’s evolution, so closely connected to the growth of our two-county district, is so impressive because of community support. The College and Foundation have worked tirelessly to respond to the needs of the business community and the residents of our diverse district.
our accomplishments in four decades, we will look forward to a new cycle of growth. What can be more important than celebrating four decades of success? The next 40 years. As PHCC embraces our new motto—Imagine… Believe…Achieve, we hope that this motivational expression inspires your new year as well. Enjoy a wonderful holiday season and happy, healthy and successful New Year.

While it is hard to measure or summarize PHCC’s impact on the communities we serve, we are proud of our graduates, grateful for our many donors and friends, and will continue to work determinedly to make our next 40 years just as exciting and prosperous as our first four decades. In fact, every single year is important and worth celebrating. Each year ushers in new initiatives, new programs and opportunities for development, progress and expansion. While we pause to celebrate

Annual Heart of Gold Luncheon
The second annual Heart of Gold luncheon was held last spring at the West Campus in New Port Richey. The luncheon was developed to provide an opportunity for benefactors to congratulate scholarship recipients and allow awardees the occasion to convey their gratitude to the donors. “This scholarship has helped me tremendously to get my education while supporting my four children. I always dreamed of getting a post-secondary education, but never thought it could be possible. It has not only encouraged me to succeed in my goal of furthering my studies, but it has also influenced my children to motivate themselves towards college as well. Thank you very much for believing in me.”

IMPACT… Volunteers Continue To Fuel Performing Arts Series Success The 55 volunteers for the 2011 PHCC Performing Arts Series were easy to spot in their crisp white shirts and black pants helping to make sure productions ran smoothly. Volunteers manned the theater doors, passed out programs, distributed will call tickets and assisted disabled theater patrons. The Foundation thanks these friends for generously volunteering their time to make the series a success. Porter Campus at Wiregrass Ranch Slated to Open in 2014 The Porter Campus at Wiregrass Ranch, located adjacent to Wiregrass High School in Wesley Chapel, will soon be the fifth full-service PHCC Campus. The ground has been graded and deep foundation pilings are complete. The forms of stairwells, elevator shafts and support columns are taking shape and the installation of underground utilities is underway. The campus features a classroom building linked by a plaza to the library building, built above a three-story parking deck; it boasts four floors—two dedicated solely to health care programs. Slated to open in 2014, the urban-style campus will complement the surrounding economies and bring publicly supported higher education and workforce training closer to home for Central Pasco residents.
Momentum…College Report
As PHCC continues to focus on providing an accessible, diverse teaching and learning environment rich with opportunities for students to attain academic success and cultural growth, the College faces mounting financial challenges to support our fundamental priority—student learning. The charts presented below demonstrate 2011–2012 figures, based on PHCC’s fiscal year that runs from July 1 to June 30.
In addition to the income from state appropriations and student tuition and fees, the funds we receive from our Foundation provide much-needed additional support for merit, need-based and nursing scholarships, library 2% holdings, faculty support, and staff and program Private development. As we maximize our financial resources $879,167 as effectively as possible, we also must balance human resources with the demands of an escalating student population, endeavoring to provide exemplary service to support our students.

Momentum…Foundation Report PHCC Foundation, Inc. Management Summary of Operations for the year ended December 31, 2011
The PHCC Foundation has an important job: ensuring that PHCC is a thriving institution. It accomplishes this by raising private funds from generous friends in the community and distributing those funds to the College’s areas of greatest need. Gifts are from employees, alumni, individuals, businesses, organizations, and corporate foundations and allow the PHCC Foundation to provide $1.2 million to the College annually.
