REDMOND, WASHINGTON

WELCOME TO REDMOND Fifteen miles east of Seattle, on the north shores of Lake Sammamish, sits the city of Redmond. Home to Native Americans for roughly 10,000 years, the region was originally known as ‘Salmonberg’ due to the abundance of salmon in the area’s many rivers and streams before ultimately being settled as Redmond in 1891. To this day, Redmond is full of rich history and architecture but is arguably most well known as the home of Microsoft and Nintendo of America. Many major tech corporations have expanded to the area but this presence does not define Redmond. With 47+ public parks and trails totaling more than 1,351+ acres, at its core, the city serves as an outdoor enthusiast’s dream, with residents that relish in recreation and the community that it cultivates.
