Irish Fest is our annual night out, cranked up a notch. It is truly a celebration of all things Irish and the many blessings this evening bestows on those in need in our community. Catholic Charities could not exist without the devoted employees, volunteers, donors and benefactors who have provided their generous support all these years…You ROCK! Dear Friends and Supporters of Irish Fest, On behalf of the Catholic Charities’ clients, staff and Board of Directors, we welcome you to Irish Fest 2013. Your generous support of this year’s “Shamrock On!” helps to sustain the services and mission of Catholic Charities as we seek to serve, empower, and advocate for those most in need in our community.

We would like to recognize and extend our deep appreciation for this year’s leadership. A very special thank you to honorary chairs, Amy and Jeff Schmid, whose guidance and support have been invaluable; and to general chairs: Amy Farha-Neary and Bryan Neary, Carrie and John Jenkins and Trish and Ted Walz. They have done a tremendous job in planning tonight’s activities, recruiting sponsors, coordinating volunteers and pulling all the details together to make this event a great success.

At Catholic Charities our clients come to us in times of great need. Working with individuals and families, we strive to build just and compassionate communities. Catholic Charities has a staff of 285 employees and a $15.1 million budget. We provide services at 10 locations serving people throughout the Archdiocese – reaching 75,000 individuals and families. With your support, we seek to address the most fundamental needs of our community.

This year we are pleased to premiere BidPal, an interactive wireless automated silent auction bidding process. With BidPal, you can bid anytime, from anywhere at the event.

You can bid on items, watch items, and be instantaneously alerted when you have been out-bid.

At the end of the auction you know exactly what you have won. No more running back and forth to the bidding tables. Look for volunteers with a green lanyard to assist you with BidPal. How Do I Find Items?

Auction General Rules 1. Each bidder is assigned a bid number and is responsible for all bids made by this number.

2. All bids are final. No refunds or exchanges will be made.

3. Payment for items must be made following the sale of that item by cash, check, MasterCard or Visa. Payment for successfully bid items may be made at the Cashier’s Table or via BidPal. Payment in full is required this evening!

4. Group purchases are invited. Please coordinate this with the Cashier; provide cashier with names, amounts and form of payment.

5. Values are printed as estimates only and are not warranted by Catholic Charities for tax purposes or general value. To determine the amount of your charitable contributions, consult your tax advisor.

6. All certificates must be used as specified. Be sure to check expiration and limitations of the certificate. All gift certificates are to be picked up at the Cashier’s Table.

7. Catholic Charities makes no express or implied warranties or representation of any kind or nature with respect to the property or services. Live Auction 1. The Live Auction will begin following dinner and continue uninterrupted until all items have been sold.

2. Each auction item is numbered. The auctioneer will call out the numbered item and give a brief description.

Bidders can accept a bid called by the auctioneer by raising their bid card so it can be seen by the auctioneer.

3. A runner will bring a receipt to the successful bidder, who will write down their name, bid number, and sign it, verifying they have made a successful bid. The bidder will receive a receipt. This copy of the receipt will be presented to the Cashier.

4. Catholic Charities program donations will be accepted via the BidPal system using your smartphone.

5. Take your copy of the contract stamped PAID to the Auction area to pick up your item or to the Cashier’s Table to pick up your tickets, gift certificates, etc.

6. Restrictions apply to travel and airline packages. These restrictions may include advance reservations, Saturday night stay and blackout dates.

Silent Auction 1. Silent Auction will open at 5:30 p.m. and will be using the BidPal system.

2. Each item is assigned a basic minimum bid. No bid under the assigned minimum will be accepted.

3. Each new bid must exceed the previous bid by at least the minimum increase stated in order to constitute a valid bid.

4. The Silent Auction will close at 8:00 p.m. No bid will be accepted after the silent auction closes. The name of the highest bidder of each item will be determined by the final bid. The highest bidder on each item will be notified via BidPal and will pay using the information they submitted to BidPal. 5. Items may be removed only by exhibiting a receipt marked PAID. Merchandise must be removed this evening by the successful bidder.

5. CATHOLIC CHARITIES PROGRAM: ADDICTION RECOVERY Catholic Charities has been providing drug and alcohol treatment for over 27 years. In 2012, our Addiction Recovery programs served nearly 12,000 at five locations in northeast Nebraska. Many begin treatment with little hope; however, through structured, individualized and planned treatment, their long journey of healing and recovery begins.

Troon Village is also the home of Troon Country Club, one of Arizona’s premium golf courses.

At an elevation of 2400 ft., the condo has scenic views of Troon Mountain, Pinnacle Peak and the McDowell Mountains, with a panorama of city lights in the valley below. Air temperatures are typically five degrees cooler than in the valley.

The condo was completely remodeled in 2006, with brand new furniture and decorations added in 2008. It has two Master Bedrooms, both with Master Baths, a third bedroom with a bath, a loft with a queen hideaway, and a main floor powder room. The Master Bedroom upstairs has a covered deck. CATHOLIC CHARITIES PROGRAM: PREGNANCY COUNSELING, ADOPTION SERVICES AND POSTADOPTION SERVICES Our mission is to “nurture the lives of children from the moment of conception.” The child is always at the center of our work. The end result is a wide array of services from pregnancy counseling to adoption to mentoring to post adoption services - all focused on healthy children, healthy families and healthy new beginnings. In 2012, we helped with 48 unplanned pregnancies, assisted with 2 adoptions, and worked with over 15 couples in various stages of the adoption process. The program also provided post-adoption services to 115 individuals, many of whom experienced reunion with their birth families.

13. CATHOLIC CHARITIES PROGRAM: DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SHELTER The Domestic Violence Shelter desperately needs your help. After 28 years, the eight-family units in The Shelter are in serious need of a makeover and new furniture is needed for the family units, the living quarters and the children’s learning center. The emergency shelter provides food, shelter, counseling, training, and most importantly, safety for battered women and children. In 2012, 212 women and 217 children sought shelter with stays ranging from a few days to six weeks. 3,921 crisis and information calls were also answered through our emergency hotline.
