Paddy Osborne’s second book published
Killarney author Paddy Osborne has published his second book.

She began her career with the Trustees of Muckross House under the late Ned Myers, former Manager. Even in her early retirement, Julia still keeps in touch with all the staff and has a huge interest in the wildlife, culture, and ongoing events at the house and National Park.

Following on from the success of ‘Baxter’s Boys’ Paddy, - a well-known figure in Killarney Legion and Killarney Celtic FC circles – has penned a second novel called ‘When Your Number’s Up’.
The dark comedy – said to be a cross between ‘Misery’ and ‘Waking Ned’ - is set in a Dublin newsagents.
It tells the story of man who believes money can buy anything including love.
He steals a lotto machine and the complications of such a move unfold across the pages.
Paddy, who is a member of a local drama group.
His ten-minute plays include what he described as the Irish version of ‘The Hangover’ which tells the story of two Irish men waking up one morning in possession of the Sam Maguire Cup and having no idea how they ended up with it.
The stunning backdrop of Killarney Brewery in Fossa was the venue for the launch his latest book.
At Wednesday night’s launch Paddy revealed that the film rights for ‘Baxter’s Boys’ have been optioned by a film production company.
‘When Your Number’s Up’ is available in Killarney from both Eason and O’Connor’s Newsagents.
