T OWN TALK Lions Club golf event to benefit local organisations
Killarney Lions Club annual Golf Day will raise funds for Kerry Mountain Rescue and Kerry Cancer Support Group.
The event, which is one of the longest running charity golf days in Killarney, will take place at O’Mahony's Point golf course on May 12.
“The work that Kerry Cancer Support Group and Kerry Mountain Rescue do is hugely important to our local community, which is why we want to support these two great organisations. I’m certain it will be a great day of golf with many fantastic prizes to be won, so I would encourage anyone who enjoys the game to get in touch with us and enter a team,” Denis Doolan, President of Killarney Lions Club, said. The entry fee for a team of four is €320, which includes food and beverages, and tee box sponsorship is €50. Anyone who is interested in taking part or sponsoring a tee box can contact killarneylionsclub@gmail.com for further information.
“We are always amazed by people’s support for our organisation. We are delighted to be associated with Killarney Lions Club and look forward to a great day’s golf in May. The funds will go towards the operation of our new wheelchair accessible Cork bus which we hope to have on the road soon,” Breda Dyland, manager of Kerry Cancer Support Group, added.
