Kerry International Film Festival presents Youth Filmmakers Showcase in Killarney
Kerry International Film Festival (KIFF) will collaborate with SONAR, a Killarney-based youth film group, and ELF (Emerging Limerick Filmmakers) to present a selection of their award-winning films at Killarney House, in celebration of Cruinniú na Nóg on Saturday June 10 from 2-5pm. This special event will provide a platform for young filmmakers to showcase their creative talents and engage with the local community.
The free screenings will be followed by an engaging Questions and Answers session, moderated by Kerry Filmmaker in Residence, Mieke Vanmechelen, and Pete Moles, Director of ELF. The film showcase will take place at the prestigious Killarney House, located in the heart of Killarney.
The event will feature a carefully curated selection of captivating films produced by SONAR and ELF, highlighting the innovation and dedication of these emerging filmmakers.
SONAR, known for their exceptional work in the Killarney area, has consistently nurtured the talent and creativity of young filmmakers. Their films, infused with fresh perspectives and unique storytelling, have gar- nered recognition and praise in local and national film circles.
The collaboration with ELF, a dynamic filmmaking collective based in Limerick, further enhances the event’s diverse and vibrant program.
