Kilgobnet National School Family Fun Run and Cake Sale

Kilgobnet National School is holding its annual Family Fun Run/ Walk on June 18, at 1pm (run starts 1.30pm), in aid of a brand new community playground at the school.

The event, which is organised by the school’s Parents Association, involves a circular 5km route, starting at the school. Everyone, from the school community and beyond, is welcome to come along on the day and join in.

Participants can expect some messy fun at the various stations along the route to add to the excitement! There’s no fee to enter, but donations will be gratefully received on the day. There will also be refreshments back at the school, including a cake sale and music by DJ Donal. Maura O’ Connor, Principal at the school, said: “We were delighted to be informed last year that we were successful in our application to CLÁR for a playground on the grounds of the school, serving its pupils and the local community. We wish to thank sincerely all those who have supported our fundraising efforts so far. We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of our community and beyond, and as a result of this we are close to reaching the target amount needed to complete this exciting project. We’re all looking forward to a great day on Sunday, June 18.”
