Tesco to reduce prices away Home
This week Tesco Ireland has announced that more than 700 products will see prices reduced as part of a new pricecut campaign.
The retailer said that customers can expect to make savings on a "widerange of Tesco own-brand products and brands bought week-in, week-out" with an average decrease of 10%.
Finance Minister Michael McGrath has hailed the move as a "turning point." It comes as figures released last month show the cost of food rose 13.1% in the year to April 2023. Food inflation was almost double that of the general rise in the Consumer Price Index in the past year of 7.2% according to the Central
Statistics Office (CSO).
