A GUIDE FOR TRANSFER STUDENTS Kettering University
YOU’RE DIFFERENT. WE’RE DIFFERENT You’re a problem solver. You learn with your mind and your hands. And whether you’re interested in engineering, math, science, or business, you’re ready to do stuff now. We like that about you.
Here’s what you’ll like about us:
WE’RE BIG ON SMALL Most classes and labs have fewer than 20 students, and are taught by professors, not teaching assistants. The work is focused: we go deep in the areas that will have the highest demand in a technology-driven world. It’s pretty intense, but we promise you’ll never be bored.
WE’VE THROWN OUT THE ACADEMIC CALENDAR Most universities have semesters or quarters. At Kettering, life is divided into two parts: academic terms of on-campus study, and work terms at a company that connects to your degree program. So, you’re never just a student at Kettering. You’re also making your mark in the professional world.
WE’RE ALL ABOUT EXPERIENCE Kettering is the only undergraduate program that requires every student participate in cooperative education or experiential learning. The result is great value - now and later. Historically, 98% of our graduates are offered full-time jobs with above average salaries or are accepted to graduate school by graduation.
TIMING AND PLANNING Our Transfer Admissions staff can help you start planning as soon as you become interested in Kettering. We can assist you with course selection and help you plan for the smoothest transition possible, as well as help you write a resume and prepare for interviews. Students who need foundation courses before enrolling in transferable courses should seek the advice of both Kettering staff and the college they are attending. Formal Transfer Guide sheets are available for students attending colleges with which Kettering has established articulation agreements.
