To maximize your visit, please plan to arrive at 9:45 AM and use the session and tour descriptions listed in this brochure to map out your day prior to your arrival. Pick the sessions and tours that interest you. This way, you can ensure that you are able to get the most out of your day. If you can’t make it early, never fear - there is still a lot to see and do, since the Discover Kettering Open House runs until 3:00 PM. When you arrive on campus, please check in at the registration tables located in the Great Court, 2nd floor of the Campus Center Building. After registration you may take part in the activities at your leisure. However, we encourage you to attend the welcome address at 10:00 AM. Discover Kettering is an informal event, so dress casually, wear comfortable shoes, and plan on an exciting day! Morning beverages and lunch will be provided. If you arrive early, the expo starts at 9:30 a.m. so stop by and ask the faculty about our majors, minors, concentrations and specialties. Please remember you will have another chance to meet faculty, see our classrooms and labs on the self-guided tours of the Academic Building and the C.S. Mott Engineering & Science Center.

KETTERING UNIVERSITY EXPO: 10:30 AM - 3:00 PM Connie and Jim John Recreation Center Learn about student organizations, admissions, co-op, financial aid, and more! Student Life tours start here and are given by current Kettering students. The tour guide will take you through our residence hall and recreation center where you can get your free T-shirt!

SELF-GUIDED TOURS: 10:30 AM - 3:00 PM The Academic Building and the C.S. Mott Engineering & Science Center will be open for self-guided tours. Spend time with our professors and learn even more about our academic programs. Students and staff will be on hand to help guide you through our extensive laboratory facilities. Tour routes will be passed out at our welcome table in each building. Follow our signs to get to the buildings or ask one of our volunteers. Please allow at least one hour to complete each tour. Academic Building tour includes: Applied Math, Business, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Industrial Engineering, Liberal Studies Program (including Pre-law), Library, and Physics C.S. Mott Engineering & Science Center tour includes: Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Biochemistry/Chemistry (Including Pre-med)

Co-op at Kettering At Kettering, co-op is a mandatory academic program. Dual Enrollment This session provides information on taking college classes while you’re still in high school. Financial Aid A Kettering education is a great investment. Directions to Kettering University Please note: Third Avenue has recently been changed to University Avenue. When using GPS units and mapping tools please be aware that they may not recognize University Avenue. MDOT has announced reconstruction of the M-21/Corunna Road bridge from April to August 11. Please keep this reconstruction in mind. We encourage the use of the following temporary directions.

Exit I-69 onto I-75/US-23 North and follow the North directions outlined below.

Exit I-75/US-23 onto Miller Road (Exit 117). Turn right (East) onto Miller Road and proceed to Ballenger Highway. Turn left (North) onto Ballenger Highway; continue North to Sunset Boulevard (sixth traffic light); Sunset Boulevard is between McLaren Regional Medical Center and Mott Park Golf Course. Sunset Boulevard merges only to the right. Turn right (East) onto Sunset Boulevard, which curves around and becomes University Avenue. Follow University Avenue past the river to Kettering University’s Campus Follow the Kettering University parking signs and turn right to park in the lot located behind the Connie & Jim John Recreation Center, then proceed to the Campus Center Building.
