MADISONVILLE: THE BEST OF TIMES on the FARM 1980s & 90s Pat and Jack Cole, in order to provide a home for their brood mares, purchased 35 acres on Highway 21 in Madisonville in the mid-1970s. It was their weekend place starting with a small camper, then a mobile home, and finally a two story house that Jack built with his own hands. They moved there fulltime when they opened Metal Concepts, their sheet metal fabrication business, in 1984.
