1400 W Rincon St. Corona, CA 92880 Since 1910, the CORONA Chamber has been the voice of businesses. Each year the volunteer leadership rotates with one person taking the helm. Palbinder Badesha, franchise owner of Express Employment Professionals, will hold that esteemed position. Her professional background matched with her personality will truly be a great fit. Her theme for 2022 is Creating Jobs to Build a Stronger Community—what better time than the present!
With the economic challenges of potential high interest rates, double digit inflation and a workforce that needs infusion…Palbinder is the perfect person to guide us through recovery. She brings a fresh perspective as an immigrant and the first person of Indian descent, hailing from England, and practicing Hinduism to lead the Chamber. Her prior experience with Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council gives her added skills in this most complex arena, and to serve as our Board Chair. Professionally, her focus and determination for assisting employers to find quality manpower is equally matched by her desire to help the

A Central tenant of the CORONA Chamber continues to be our legislative outreach and advocacy efforts. It is in this area that will impact our attention on jobs. Two of our five core competencies are focused on advocacy, by representing the interest of business with government and promoting political action to ensure a favorable business climate. Started in 2020, the continuing Corona Chamber Business Briefings are the best way to keep up with the ever-changing political climate at all levels. The Chamber contracts with a legislative advocate to be the eyes and ears, the relationship builder, and the advisor on what to support, oppose, and act upon, on behalf of the greater Corona business community. It is because of these ongoing efforts that the Chamber is well-respected and deeply impactful when standing up for businesses and instituting positive change. Newly enhanced foci for 2022 include manufacturing, cannabis, technology, and workforce development. The Manufacturer Council sessions restarted in the second half of 2021, featuring a special segment of member-based Manufacturers to have one-on-one time with Congressman Ken Calvert. This event proved to be very productive, and our manufacturers embraced this effort. Future sessions will bring State and regional elected officials together for this specific industry. All Manufacturers that are members of the CORONA Chamber will be invited to participate in this industry specific gathering.
With a newly licensed industry coming to Corona, the Cannabis sector will experience special attention and specific sessions offered by the CORONA Chamber. Member firms will be invited to exclusive gatherings that will be specific to this growing industry.
