Junior Campus Programme 1 - 48 week course for people aged 13 - 18 years King’s Junior Campus Programme is for young people wanting to improve their English either for returning home or going to high school in New Zealand. It incorporates a specialist literacy course, Comprehension Strategy Instruction (CSI), designed specifically to improve literacy in maths, science and social studies as well as English. CSI is a digitally-enhanced course which uses colourful workbooks, movies and photos, where students can understand word meanings very quickly. The methods of teaching are whole group instruction and cooperative practice designed to develop a high level of research ability as well as develop speed for note taking and summarising skills.
English Writing & Reading Improve your communication English for: • reading, spelling & vocabulary • speaking for making presentations • comprehension skills • grammar and writing (including note taking) • research ability (online, library, etc.)
Science Improve your literacy and understanding in: • biology • chemistry • physics • earth science • technology
Social Studies
Mathematics Improve your literacy and word understanding: • for maths-based vocabulary • in maths for doing measurement of area, volume, calculations, statistics, probablity, etc. • for multiplication, division, subtraction and addition
