Customer Consultation

1.Auction Representative Kingsley could assist you to bid artworks from worldwide auction house and make suggestions for the sales of your collections. As your commissioned representative, we include auctioning, trading, packaging, and shipping services for your works.

2.Art Agency Kingsley conducts private art sales through its Taiwan offices. We also provide professional consultation on art appraisal issues, value management, and investment advice.

3.Insurance and Tax Consultation Kingsley also helps to deal with any insurance and tax related issue of your import or export art. And we also manage with international/domestic shipping and packaging for your art works.

4.Sales Tax Payable by the Buyer The buyer shall pay for (value added) sales tax in the amount of 5% of the Hammer Price with respect to imported works of art collected by the buyer in Taiwan pursuant to the laws of the ROC. The buyer is not required to pay for sales tax if such imported works of art【with ＊ marks by the lot in the catalogue】 are delivered to the buyer outside the ROC and are handled by Kingsley for the relevant shipments. The buyer shall notify Kingsley in written form within 7 business days following the auction day if he or she desires to collect the items auctioned outside the ROC.

5.Currency The buyer is required to settle up in NT dollars. If paid by other foreign currencies, we trade on the currency of that wired transaction day for the first 7 business days. If the payment is to be wired after 7 business days and the currency rate is lower than that of the bidding day, then we trade by the rate on the bidding day.

6.Phone Bids Since the phone line service at the venue of auction is limited, please contact us 48 hours prior to the auction. Meanwhile, please fill in the absentee bid form attached to the catalogue to specify the item you intend to bid and send us by fax【+886 2 2658 2600】

7.Written Bids You may use the absentee bid form attached to the catalogue to process your bid as well. To allow time to process, written bids should be delivered, by fax【+886 2 2658 2600】, at least 24 hours before the auction begins. We will confirm all bids received by phone. If you have not received our confirmation within one working day, please resubmit you bid(s) or contact us at【+886 2 2658 5000】

8.Payment Payment policy and details are described at the Transaction Agreement of this catalogue. We accept telegraphic transfer cash and check; however, credit cards and traveler's checks will not be accepted. The property may be collected only when the checks are honored.

9.Collection All items may be collected upon receipt of payments. If you need shipping arrangement, we are pleased to make professional suggestions and provide appropriate shipping company for you. 陳景亮陶藝自學而成，作品由拉坏壺藝開始出發，90 年代初即被公認為是台灣壺藝的創始者。陳景亮紮實的壺藝功力與現代陶藝的「物質寫實」結合，做出一系列的「物質寫實風格」(Trompe l'oeil 迷惑眼睛 ) 作品，並也以此聞名遐邇，此系列仿如實物的樹幹壺、樹枝壺、枕木壺和豆腐盤創作，把台灣的風土民情以及盆栽藝術內涵裡的文人畫情韻，融合成宛如天然的作品，在美國及西方的藝評中被認為是現代中國陶藝的蛻變新創。

王攀元的〈雪景〉，由雪白屋頂重壓於矮長屋厝上，微彎的屋頂娓娓道出了雪的重量，不經意地宣告冬季的來臨，淺色調堆疊出的色澤，淺淺的綠讓荒涼的大地透露出生命力，彎曲的線條無盡向遠方蔓延，拉出了寂靜與遼闊。沒有日月的陪襯，卻有著灰濛濛的天空，是灰藍，是淡藍，更是冬天沉悶的色彩。在這沉悶的季節裡，右下角奔跑躍動的狗影叫醒了整個畫面，不但平衡也生動了畫面。

NT$ 280,000 - 400,000 US$ 9,100 - 13,000 RMB$ 57,000 - 82,000 1912 年，排行第二的王攀元出生於江蘇北部的徐家洪，在當地是有名的望族不但居住大宅，更擁有不少田地。但天不從人願，欲天降大任於斯人也，必先苦其心志，勞其筋骨。小時，父母相繼過世，在掌權的家族親戚不願提供學費的情況下，每學期王攀元就要為自己的學費東奔西跑，在奶媽與佃農的幫助下過關。從小學到省立的淮安中學，讓他比同年紀的小孩細膩早熟。 1933 年考上復旦大學法律系，但非其所愛，重考後，高中上海美專。上海美專以開創性的美學教育、裸體寫生的課程與成果展衝擊當時傳統風俗，傳統派長輩更不願提供學費，所幸在友人幫助下才得以入學。在陳人浩、潘玉良、王濟遠等老師啟迪教育下，扎下藝術概念與技法，在旁聽潘天壽、諸聞韻等國畫老師課程後，對於國畫更有興趣不但勤於練習更時時走訪鄉間寫生觀察。能將情緒感染於畫作上，｢問君能有幾多愁，恰似一江春水向東流。｣從詩詞上體會到的是自身的際遇。畢業後，欲去法國留學的王攀元回江蘇籌錢，不料松滬戰爭爆發後他沒錢也沒路回到上海，而後國共戰爭的號角又吹起，王攀元便帶著其妻倪月清，一路顛簸，輾轉來台，抵達鳳山已經是 1949 年的事，便在碼頭兼差搬運果其腹。最後在堂弟幫忙下到羅東中學授課，得以安定。此件王攀元的畫作〈夜深沉〉曾於形而上畫廊展出，這種由黑與白的大塊面分割，是他較晚期發展出的系列：畫中藏有很強烈的詩性，殘留的宋代留白的韻味，如同他日記中自述所提，｢我喜歡繪畫多留空白，我喜歡對人說話應有餘地，我喜歡靜思反省不與人爭｣，也是他溫和有容的畫格。

李義弘，1941 年出生於台灣台南，以農家子弟而欲終身投於藝術工作領域。初高中時期，相繼獲得南部七縣市美術比賽國畫組第一名，此刻開啟了李義弘的藝術道路。順利進入台藝美術科後，師事高一峰、傅狷夫、胡克敏等大陸來台畫家，奠定其深厚的設色與肌理的基礎。之後偶然看到江兆申的作品大為震撼，多次請益之後終於成為江派入室弟子。李義弘在傳統國畫技法中，加入不少新的觀念，使他的畫表現得截然不同流俗。這幅作品〈竹雨書情〉所畫的是一幅嫻靜適然的幽靜景色，在悠悠竹林環繞的深山小屋裡，文人靜靜地端坐賞畫。不遠處隔著幾處濃郁林子的是圈養的鴨群，長短不拘地的竹籬在李義弘筆下就這樣圈起牠們。視角再往右移動竟是一片桃花源，鮮嫩的粉紅花點綴枝枒，為右下角帶來另一份生氣。李義弘從文人水墨的角度切入，從文人心境的抒發發展，他認為現代水墨的創新並不能以仿效攝影構圖為依靠，水墨畫講究的筆墨本質依然是水墨在現代藝術浪潮中屹立不搖的根本。每幅創作都在在彰顯他在「傳統」與「現代」之間，經過努力不懈探究、追尋、融合的功力。

鄭善禧出生於 1932 年中國福建，家中經營碾米廠兼賣土產，生活無拘無束備受寵愛。自幼對繪畫有著無比興趣，除了拿筆塗塗抹抹畫些神像、布袋戲等民俗畫之外，也隨手取家附近的泥土做泥塑神像捏著玩。國小的美術老師黃文爛，發現鄭善禧有這方面的天份，也常提供他一些圖片作為參考練習。1950 年自福建來台，考取台南師範美術科，之後又考上師大美術系，扎下深厚的美術基礎。1960 年畢業之後，他的興趣由水彩寫生轉入國畫， 1965 年獲第 20 屆台灣省美展首獎之後，便開始在台灣畫壇嶄露頭角，也逐漸找到自己的畫風。 1969-71 年旅居美國，開啟新的藝術視野，繪畫題材廣泛，媒材也從平面書法拓展至立體陶瓷。鄭善禧偏好民俗繪畫，且從不講究如何佈局，完全採取喜不喜歡和要不要畫為主；而且常在畫面之上以毫無體制的字，直接毫無裝飾的去敘述畫的內容，一旦由這些直敘的旁白、自由憨拙的字體，和充滿童稚心聲，趣味性濃的圖形，把整張空白填滿之後，就變得十分有趣。他開始加入對國畫的革新，他的方法既不「汲古潤今」，又不是「引西潤中」。他是採取融合之後開創自己。他特別強調五四運動中的「白話運動」對他創作的啟示最大。所以他以白話化的方式去開創自己繪畫樸拙的意境和民主化的現代風貌。他常將身邊隨處可見的題材入畫，將小貓、小狗、狗熊、獅子、小烏龜等動物擬人化，看過的人都不禁會心一笑。而他筆下的山水風景，則有別於傳統中國山水花鳥畫，他畫的都是觀眾熟悉的台灣場景並自由呈現這些花花綠綠的山巒、栩栩如生的動物，有時亦帶點幽默氣息，令人玩味。

乙卜，本名田小赤，藝名蓮池。1966 年出生於吉林長春。1994 畢業於吉林藝術學院，並於 1996 年任教於吉林藝術學院附中。1999 年執意創作並展開自由畫家的路程，現居於宋莊。田小赤創作能量源於自然，他曾說過：「作為一個藝術家，把你的藝術還給自然多少，你的藝術就有多大」。層出不窮的靈感使其創作題材多元，所繪的特殊線條與皴法闢出自我新水墨風格。近年發展出許多系列：「魚系列」中描繪出魚兒展現生命力與活躍；「鳥系列」裡有鴻鵠展翅、翱翔動態美與立於湖面的寂靜美；甚於「笑佛系列」觀自在，笑開懷的真性情，正如其自述「畫家需要一種寬闊的胸懷，只有放下功利心，才能產生好作品」，也是目前乙卜當代水墨的創作中，有其體現生活，表現自然率真的灑脫、豪邁。 2014 年所創作的〈大紅魚〉相當喜氣，田小赤以墨線快速勾勒魚身，多層次的線條帶出肥美的厚度，黃黃、紅紅、綠綠的色塊之上再用快筆加諸細節，亂中有序、沉穩中帶著藏不住的躍動感。田小赤以水墨為媒材，卻畫出了中國傳統沒有的立體感及為背景上色之點—飽含立體感之主角大紅魚，安於墨色深沈的背景前，突顯中西合璧寫意之美。此舉不同於 1950 年代以來藝術家將中國傳統水墨融合西方進行抽象轉換的大趨勢，田小赤在現代走出獨自的新水墨風格，也因此近年來大陸重要拍賣公司主動徵求其作品送拍，2014 年更獲北京雁栖湖中國大飯店 APEC 會議廳徵集懸掛其 21 件巨幅作品，扶搖直上之日應指日可待。

朱銘年僅 15 歲時，便開始跟隨李金川師傅學習傳統雕刻技藝，30 歲時才又拜入楊英風的門下繼續深造其雕塑， 80 年代後以「太極系列」作品揚名國際。所謂太極一般指宇宙的根本。人屬於自然，自然間陰陽相生，其關鍵在於「氣」與「勁」的互通及流轉。朱銘的「太極系列」沒有臉部表情，凌駕於形體之外，徹底擺脫題材的具象束縛，省略人體許多動作細節的線條，只取其意，不重其形，從包羅萬象的東方精神之中進入一種完全來自精神的造型組織，融會貫通須超脫自我。此件〈太極系列〉以樟木為基，大刀闊斧地鑿切出兩人對打連成長方形拱門狀，展現剛硬的力道，穩如泰山，但所呈現的造型，是溫雅帶著柔韌，剛柔並用、陰陽平衡，正中太極所蘊含的道理。「太極系列」完美融合傳統東方精神的表現，不僅奠定了朱銘在亞洲藝壇的地位，更讓世界的收藏群眾為之驚艷。

「我認為中國畫家用心靈作畫，西方畫家則用眼睛作畫。」——陳蔭羆

陳蔭羆 1913 年出生於廣東中山縣，1925 年 12 歲時於中國完成中學學業，隨父親前往美國，念念不忘在排華法案下，滯留在中國無法團聚的母親與弟弟，儼然成為陳蔭羆心中的遺憾與牽掛。年少的陳蔭羆居住父親中藥店，卻對於陌生環境難以融入，憤而前往洛杉磯一孤兒院中當起志工。1934 年孤兒院內部協助下，獲全額獎學金進入洛杉磯奧地斯藝術學院 (Otis Art Institute) 的機會，並接受正統的美學薰陶， 1940 年取得美術碩士學位。外來移民的身分在孤兒院人道培養下成長，足以反映在他取材上，多以孩童、社會邊緣者的人物像，在暗淡的背景下，抑鬱的色調對比出人物表情是他一貫風格，細膩寫實地描繪出人物臉部的神情，彷彿在對現實狠狠的批判，更是他對社會無奈的反叛。〈紅領帶的男孩〉(Lot61) 與〈紅襯衫的女子〉(Lot62) 皆是為此時期完成的作品，非常早期，也相對更看得出陳蔭羆筆下的主角，都被投射出自己看待大環境的叛逆眼光。風景題材，少以寫實風格精準表現，反而多以光影寫生的印象風格繪製，擅於用白色帶出光感，暗色調鋪陳氛圍，細筆多層次的點撇讓風景在光的作用下流露於畫面裡，印象風格也影響他後期。 1947 年二次大戰結束後他短暫返回中國，曾在長老會學習的書法，更在 1950 年回到美國後將書法與抽象結合創作，希望能在創作中凸顯自己的華人身份和文化血緣，他首先以片段抽象銘文融入山水宛如與古人對話，尋找能與美國抽象表現共鳴的中國文化元素，進而發展成自身的美學形式。此時期他以鮮明的黑白色系「文字畫」為主，從漢字的符號書寫出發，表現筆勢的韻味並考究畫面質感。之後的抽象風格則能越見陳蔭羆受馬克・托比 (Mark Tobey 1890-1976)「白色書寫」系列與傑克森・波洛克 (Jackson Pollock 1912-1956) 這

兩位在紐約掀起抽象風潮中最重要代表人物的影響。托比追求畫面的和諧感；帕洛克著眼於繪畫的動作本身，記錄充滿能量的整體性為過程。而陳蔭羆試圖融入這兩位藝術家的風格形式，儼然展開了將白色中文應用於潑灑與滴流的畫面上，在繽紛的畫面下更顯得集中、有序性。 1960 年代的創作最能呼應抽象表現主義精神，以淺色為基底，將黑底白字如拓字的書法字帖糊裱於畫布上，再將字的樣貌解構，覆以書寫、色彩的灑染，形成漢字符號交雜著色般繽紛。陳蔭羆故意製造有關中國古文物，例如青銅器因銅綠的腐蝕，所產生的一種因為時間才能生成的歷史廢墟或文明湮滅貌；或以文字為主體的紀念石碑，因為長期經風雨侵蝕所產生的斑駁效果。他也為了製造具有時間感、歷史風塵的感覺，嘗試加入許多材質，其中引用細沙的使用，畫面肌理細密厚實，色韻和諧，整體作品在隱喻歷史斑駁感之間呈現古雅且現代的微立體畫作。陳蔭羆此時的創作呈現一種神秘迷離的風格，創意豐沛，風格多樣。 1970 年代後期創作的〈銘文變奏〉(lot59) 雖仍脫不開這兩位抽象畫家的身影，藍色系的畫面中，仍以白色滴流的方式，創造馬克・托比白色書寫帶來的神秘多義性，覆以自由線條的表現性演出，如音符與旋律般相互呼應，強化形色變奏後的壯麗效果。材質上採用油彩與拼貼完成，營造緊密厚實的質地，各種甲骨、鐘鼎銘文、碑刻、篆銘參雜，斑斕色彩交織成具現代意涵的抽象圖示，而其實內涵本質則更貼近東方。陳蔭羆創作這刻意的文化構成，是對中國文化與文明的緬懷歌頌。一邊傾訴文化的力量，一邊凸顯文明的美感，亦透過這樣的意識，陳蔭羆甚至有意地彰顯自己的文化源。漸漸他的創作裡能看到另一種風貌「綴錦性格」，那是他經歷寫實肖像、靜物、風景、文字畫抽象、抽象表現主義形式之後所演變成的風格。此時的創作尺幅更盛大，自由揮灑線條已打破文字書寫概念，也能看出他脫離馬克・托比的影響，而接近帕洛克的自動性概念，以滴彩的形式、奔放的色彩，探索視覺美感的無限可能，畫面呈現亂中有序、華艷有味的個人特色。

HSIAO CHIN 「藝術創作是在傳達心靈成長的訊息和過程，宇宙的大能量是我創作中源源不絕的重要靈感。」—— 蕭勤 1935 年出生於上海的蕭勤，1949 年抵達台灣，在 1952 年北師時期進入李仲生老師畫室，李仲生提倡的現代繪畫觀念深植其心，自此也正式開啟他研究現代藝術的意向。在當時政治低迷而社會上卻興起一片「再造五四」、「文藝復興」的呼聲中，1955 年底蕭勤在台北與李元佳、歐陽文苑、吳昊、夏陽、霍剛、陳道明、蕭明賢等人創辦中國第一個抽象團體「東方畫會」。

開始轉而鑽研佛教思想，發展出「禪」的系列，並響應當時西方「回歸自然」的呼應，不僅創作主題，甚至連創作媒材都回復到運用有機的紙、墨水、不裝內框的棉布，一切以自然適性為主，以「無我」宇宙大我的生命結合，到達一種絕對東方且自在安逸的禪學境界。接下來的 1980 年代初期，蕭勤進入「宇宙風景」階段，畫面經常出現宇宙漩渦、陣雨、混沌初開、彗星等宇宙相關的元素，呈現對宇宙聚散的體悟與詮釋。其間也受到時事影響，創作出許

然而翌年因獲得西班牙政府獎學金之契，始赴西班牙留學。到了

重生直至永恆 1990 年的蕭勤因喪女之痛而一度中斷創作，隔年參透生死大限意義後，開始重拾畫筆為女兒也為自己創作一系列布上壓克力作品：

在影響美國抽象表現主義甚遠的藝術家，傑克森・波洛克 (Jackson Pollock 1912-1956) 死後，紐約現代藝術博物館，大都會博物館等博物館分別展出波洛克藝術作品，在當時更加掀起一陣抽象表現藝術風潮，而當時丁雄泉正沉浸於這片風潮中。在他的畫風中，灑脫的揮灑、炫麗鮮豔的色彩奔放、無拘無束的線條就此展開他獨特的風格，如此沾沾自喜自封為「採花大盜」、「風流先生」；採花是因為喜歡花的多采多姿，更留戀於世間女人花，這也是他創作中多以女人、花卉為主，他眼中看到的是女子與花婀娜多姿的姿態，為生活粉墨綻放的色彩，而他負責將如此的美麗表現出來。風流先生如同蝴蝶般遊戲人間，不僅輕舞於美女、花叢間，也從自然動物裡琢磨觀察，筆墨間的揮毫便是他處處觀望的心得。此幅〈藝妓與鸚鵡〉，有著丁雄泉獨樹一幟的畫風，細筆勾勒出女子挑逗的眼神，櫻桃般的小嘴微微張開，彷彿藏著某種心思；鮮明的色彩分配得當，在花朵與鸚鵡佈局下，讓視角集中女子神情。

朱德群，早年就讀杭州藝專，後來台任教，至 1955 年才遠赴法國深造，與他心中的大師塞尚 (Paul Cézanne 18391906) 、馬諦斯 (Henri Matisse 1896-1954) 等作品近距離接觸。赴法之前的朱德群已在油畫上打下紮實基礎，這從他早年的風景、肖像畫中可證，初到巴黎的風景作品色彩洋溢而精確，隱約見得印象派大師保羅・塞尚的影響，直到赴法後隔年，一次俄籍抽象畫家尼古拉．德．斯塔埃爾 (Nicolas de Staël 1914-1955) 畫展中，斯塔埃爾作品中不具形的自由與激情點醒了朱德群，令他開始思考屬於自己的這條路該怎麼走，意即對抽象畫的摸索。 1950 年代中後期至 1960 年代朱德群從具象走到非具象，嘗試各種抽象的創作，多以單一色調作為其背景，快筆揮灑出寬、窄、厚、薄之線條。部分作品筆觸營造的色塊，仍帶點斯塔埃爾潛移默化的影子，但筆觸間書法狂草的氣韻早已蘊藏其中，甚至可回溯中國山水水墨的靈秀縱逸。此時的他也愛用紅、黑等強烈色調令畫作呈現奔放而激盪的氣氛，風格逐漸確立。 1970 年代的作品受到林布蘭 (Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn 1606-1669) 的影響，朱德群並將中國書法技法如「飛白」融入其中。這段時間他試著將他心中無形的情感整理成作品，對於光線、直覺、內心探索有更深的體悟，使其作品並無沉鬱之感，反之擁有行雲流水之雅暢。直到 1980-90 年代，朱德群創作進入高峰，結合東西方，卻不囿於東西方，更趨向中國傳統之繪畫藝術，探討了宇宙之變化和人與自然之間的連結。他自覺該有改革藝術歷史的使命感，也真正做到了貫通中西美學、物我合一、筆隨意到的境界，他幾乎能將胸臆中的感受一一化作作品，落筆酣暢，用色層次豐厚而不著痕跡，舉重若輕，如同溫柔多變的幻想，有時想像恣肆筆力萬鈞，有時輕盈細微如絲如水，有時是對往日的緬懷，品嘗日常中空氣的質感，朦朧的思緒片段，蒼茫恢弘的雪景，神秘濃烈的藍光，對他而言生活的靈感俯拾即是，無一不是題材。 2003 年所創作的〈神秘的喜悅〉正是朱德群創作大筆刷系列巔峰時期的作品之一，整體色調深沉穩重，運用不同色階的墨色，豪邁筆觸筆直掃蕩，明亮的色塊點綴期間形成帶狀，營造出豐富的層次和空間感，整體上顯得沉穩奔放。對朱德群來說，抽象畫不一定要否定物質的自然形象，他破除了抽象與具象之間的對立，觀者在作品中尋覓的也不僅只是物象的呈現，更能領受中國山水畫論提出畫作可游、可居的藝術欣賞功能。藝術家透過繪畫追念記憶中的一幕風景，或者是來自詩詞與音樂的啟發，讓人與世界相互走近，它帶來心靈層面的充實及愉悅，使人與外在世界合二為一、不分主客彼此，整體一氣流蕩，這即是朱德群作品中天人合一的審美境界。

朱沅芷 1906 年生於廣東朱家村，15 歲移居美國，並在 1924 年進入美國加州美術學校學習並奠定其風格，並隨葛塔多 • 匹亞秋尼 (Gottardo Piazzone 1872-1945) 練習風景畫，並與歐蒂斯 • 歐菲德 (Otis William Oldﬁeld 1890-1969) 學習素描、靜物和人體油畫。華人在 20 年代的美國不太有其地位，朱沅芷 1926 年輟學，與老師歐菲德和友人在三藩市成立「現代畫廊」，也藉此契機舉行其個人展覽，在展覽中結識了阿齊爾 • 穆哈特王子與王妃 (Prince & Princess Achille Murat)，在他們鼓勵與邀約下，1927 年七月朱沅芷隻身前往歐洲巴黎，藉著王子與王妃引薦，朱沅芷的繪畫風格與名聲在巴黎畫壇中流傳開來，舉辦不少個展，在歐洲期間，其繪畫風格融入塞尚斜線筆觸構成塊面，在色彩應用上也選擇偏暗與彩度較低且較飽合的色彩。〈坐在紅色扶椅上的裸女〉是朱沅芷在紐約時期的作品，

曾海文，本名曾天福，1927 年出生於福建廈門，排行老大，在經商的家庭中，父親不常在身邊，小曾海文便圍繞在喜好書法的祖父身邊學習經典詩詞與書法，從好奇初學塗鴉到矯若遊龍，在點、線、撇一步步探索線條繪畫出他的心中世界。可惜快樂的時光，在 1937 年對日戰爭爆發後，曾海文為避戰火蔓延，向南遷移，一路流離到了越南，在異鄉度過年少。成年的他，背負著父親深深的期許前往法國習醫，過於理性的醫學始終掩蓋不了他想繪畫的念頭，毅然決然的學畫讓父親斷了經濟來源，在友人的幫忙下，才得以追求自身的理想。理想是現實與意志的堆積，他沒有正統的教學，只能靠著自己走訪博物館之間，在從其他藝術家友人與畫冊討論中尋求答案，與不斷的練習寫生，才發展出他想表現的繪畫。

邱亞才 1980 年代開始以人物畫為主要發展，他喜歡觀察日常生活中的平凡小人物，對於人性有著莫大的感觸與琢磨；他研讀莎士比亞、杜斯妥也夫斯基等西方文學大師的巨作，從中汲取創作養分，沒有學院派的框架束縛，自由地以最直接的感受去創作繪畫、撰寫小說，這也是能讓他的天賦最能自由發揮的優勢。傳統古代西方肖像畫，總是雍容華貴的皇室貴族才能有幸在畫布上被畫師留下紀念性的樣貌，東方肖像畫亦同。一般無名小卒是不可能留下任何畫作記錄的。即便到了近代，西方肖像畫的人物，也大多是畫家身邊熟識的人，或付錢而做的作品。而邱亞才筆下的肖像畫，並非依照真實存在的人物所繪，他是將存在於其心中的意象畫出，所以他作品中的人物都有個籠統的特質：消瘦的身材、細長的杏眼、高挺的鼻形、面無表情的長型鵝蛋臉及黯淡不清的單一色塊背景，突顯出「人」這個主題觀點。早期的人物臉型偏圓、暗色為主，顏料厚實筆觸粗獷，帶有藏不住的焦躁、陰暗特質，或帶有較誇張的戲劇感。〈浪人〉(Lot76) 為此時期的作品，粗獷厚實的筆觸、睜大的雙眼以及凌亂的爆髮帶有誇張戲劇感。邱亞才作品直至 1990 年代中後期，風格才逐漸確立，顏色由陰暗轉為明亮，他嘗試以各種顏色點出人物個性，也使用各種幾何圖形裝飾畫中人物服裝，並漸漸使用曲線繪出富有情感的長圓臉形，並營造出蕭然優雅的文人氣質，融入西方知識分子的滄桑時代感。〈哲學系學生〉(Lot75) 大約創作於 1993 年左右，男學生柔軟的頭髮服貼於前額，細長的眉毛與彎勾的長鼻，作畫的黑色線條受到唐宋古畫的影響，輕輕描繪於臉上。背景簡單地用大筆構出一個窗框，還有類似凳子或邊桌的圓型色塊。與 Lot77〈紳士〉一樣，皆用深藍綠色為主色系，人物以黑色線條勾勒，形象大致與其他人物籠統特質符合，雖未說明作品年代，觀其風格應也為 1990 年代之後期的作品。邱亞才並不將他的想法以直接具象的方式傳達給觀者，而是使用一種隱晦的提示在畫布上大作文章，以東方傳統藝術中「留白」的概念，目的是要留給觀者空間想像與思考，那種未完成，抑或是說曖昧不明的美。繪畫本身的藝術性，以及每個觀者所添加上的自由想像，作者、作品與觀賞者的三方交流之下，更是提升了其藝術價值。

台灣雲林人，日本拓殖大學政治系畢業，留法一年，在日本接受嚴格的膠彩媒材訓練，擅長以此作畫，表現膠彩既高雅卻又不閃閃發亮的光澤；而其題材擴及自然風景，人物，甚至花鳥。目前長年旅居日本。姚旭燈擅長使用人工的顏色，在畫面的表現上卻又顯得層次柔和且典雅。在這青綠色為底的畫面，常鶲鳥身上的細節被細細描繪，停佇在搖曳綻放的梔子花中，情景交融充分表現閒情野意。

1959 年生於四川成都，畢業於四川美術學院油畫系，1988 年前往美國佛羅里達大學攻讀碩士。在美國，楊千接觸到了抽象繪畫理論以及不同的藝術媒介，讓他不斷探討繪畫的內在與形式及虛實的表現。楊千的繪畫所探索的是手工圖像（繪畫）和機械圖像（攝影）之間的關係，是他早期雙重繪畫的創作理念基礎。楊千的創作多以人物為主，且女性居多。在攝影照相抬頭的時代，楊千不但受其影響並從中反思，利用攝影的特徵轉化到繪畫當中，並將日常生活的紀錄以個人和情感的角度重新詮釋。

美國藝術家 KAWS，原名布萊恩・唐納利 (Brian Donnelly) 出生於 1974 年美國紐澤西，小學時即展現對塗鴉的興趣。1995 年，KAWS 還是曼哈頓視覺藝術學院的學生，便已經開始在自己的街頭藝術中混合商業設計元素，更曾為當地的街頭服裝品牌 Subware 設計產品。畢業後曾經在一家動畫製作公司工作，自此對米奇老鼠、阿童木等一些耳熟能詳的角色產生喜愛並將其作為創作基礎。他因深受塗鴉藝術影響與啓發，以獨出心裁的手法在廣告牌和海報上添加自己的創作，廣受歡迎；他畫中人物眼睛總是變成Ｘ形，成為他獨特的標誌。本此集結具代表性的 2004 年出的 KAWS 5YL Companion，15 吋全身大耳朵公仔及 2006 年出的 14 吋半與 KASS 創立的潮牌 Original Fake 聯合出版的 Original Fake Companion，是右半露出身體內部的大耳朵公仔，二者為一組 lot，共有黑色系 (Lot110) 及灰色系 (Lot111)。此外還有 KAWS Clean Slate (Lot112)，大隻抱兩隻小隻的大耳朵公仔。此三件 lot 公仔手腳皆可動，皆附原裝紙盒。

戴清擅長使用油畫厚重的質地，粗獷的線條，表現介於抽象與具體之間的形象，強烈而狂野的筆觸、大膽的色彩和作品中流露出現實感。其作品一般都以人類面孔作為描繪的題材，在我們最熟悉的視覺印象—面孔，塗抹出每一個人的特性。曾如藝術家本人的自述：「順其自然」，其實是順其藝術家自身的任性與反叛，所以每一張繪畫都是畫家潛意識下的表徵。這張畫面使用黑色的線條描繪人物的上衣，表現出墨汁的灑脫與隨意，而畫布本身就有乳白色，以此襯托出黑色筆觸的特性，而飛白的部分也表現出水墨追求的效果，充分表達東西混雜的精神；再者，仔細觀察人物的面孔，畫家試圖從兩個視點描繪同一張臉，同一個面孔被賦予了兩個動態，因此整體的形象陷入一種亟欲分裂的躁動裡，我們需要臣服於藝術家所表現的不安裡，才能感受到畫面最深層的寧靜。 150

Terms and Conditions of Business The following provisions are entered into by and between Kingsley Art Auctions (hereinafter referred to collectively as "the Company" ), as the auctioneer, and the Seller (hereinafter the "Seller"). The Agreement is also entered into by and between the Company as the agent of the Seller and the Buyer (hereinafter the "Buyers"). Both the Buyer and the Seller shall review and accept all provisions hereunder.

Ⅰ . The Buyer Agent The Company, as the auctioning party, shall act as the agent of the Seller. Except otherwise provided, items successfully sold in the action held by the Company shall be bound by the agreement made by and between the Seller, through the agency of the Company, and the Buyer.

Before the auction a.Authentication We s t r o n g l y r e c o m m e n d t h a t t h e prospective buyers conduct their own authentication for the items they are interested in bidding prior to the action. We provide no guarantees to the buyer (with the exception of the guarantee with regard to counterfeits as deﬁned of the Agreement). b.Catalogue Explanations Any statement of the author, history, date, year, size, material, ownership, authenticity, origin, condition of preservation or estimated selling price of any of the Lots shown in the catalogue or the authentication opinion made by the Company, or any other verbal or written statements made separately shall be solely statements of opinions and shall not be deemed the basis for the statements of actual fact. The photographs shown in the catalogue shall serve as reference only and shall not be deemed as the basis for determining the color or tone of any Lot or disclosure of the defects of such item. The estimated of the aucti on price shall not be deemed the price at which such item will be successfully sold or the statement of the value of the item for other purposes. Many auction items fail to maintain their perfect condition because of time and other environmental factors. Some of the explanations in the catalogue or the authentication opinions will state defects and/or the repair background of the Lots. Such information is meant for reference only. Missing information in the statements does not mean the Lot has no defects or has not been repaired any statement of the one particular defect does not mean there is no any other defect. c.Responsibility of the Buyer The Buyer is responsible for clarifying and satisfying himself about the condition of the items and any related matters stated in the catalogue descriptions.

During the auction a.Refusal of admission The company has the right, at our own

discretion, to refuse admission to the premises or participation in any auction and to reject any bid. b.Registration before bidding A prospective buyer must ﬁll in and sign the registration forms prior to the bidding and provide personal identification. Prospective buyers should also note that the Company may be requested to conduct credit checks against buyers. c.The bidder is the Buyer Unless a written agreement has been made upon registration that the bidder will be the agent who acts on behalf of a third person and such third person is accepted by the Company, the bidder will be deemed as the Buyer who will bear individual legal responsibilities. d.Absentee bids The Company will make proper effort to bid for the prospective buyers who instruct us to bid on their behalf by using the forms attached to the catalogue. Written bids form should be delivered to the Company prior to the auction. If we receive written bids on a particular lot for identical amounts, and the auction these are the highest bids on the lot, it will be sold to the person whose written bid was received and accepted first. Execution of written bids is a free service undertaken subject to other commitments at the time of the sale and we do not accept liability for failing to execute a written bid or for errors and omissions in connection with it. e.Telephone bids The Company will make proper efforts to contact the bidder to participate in the auction by phone. The prospective buyer should request such arrangements prior to the auction. However, the Company will bear no responsibilities to the Seller or any prospective buyer if no contact is making under any circumstances. f.Currency converter The currency converter will be utilized at the auction. Errors may occur in the operation of the currency converter and we do not accept liability to bidders who follow the currency converter rather than the actual bidding in the saleroom. g.Video or digital images The image projection will be made at the auctions; however, errors may occur during the operation. The company is not liable for the color accuracy of the reproduced image and whether the projected image corresponds to the item being auctioned. h.Auctioneer's discretion The auctioneer reserve the absolute

right to reject any bid, push for bids at his own discretion, withdraw any auction items, separate or combine two or more auction items, and if there is any error or dispute, re-auction the items. i.Successful bids Under the discretion of the auctioneer, the highest bidder accepted by the auctioneer will be the buyer and the striking of his hammer means the acceptance of the highest bid and the conclusion of a contract for sale between the seller and the buyer.

After the auction a.The service fee of each lot payable by the Buyer (Modern and Contemporary Art)

(1)T h e B u y e r s h o u l d p a y t h e hammer price and, in addition, the service fee to the Company. For hammer price below NT$16,000,000 (inclusive), the service fee should be calculated at 20% of the hammer price. (2)For hammer price higher than NT$16,000,000 the ﬁrst NT$16,000,000 should be calculated at 20% and the rest of the amount should be 12%. b.Taxes All the payments payable by the Buyer to the Company do not include any commodity or service taxes or any other value added taxes (whether imposed by the R.O.C. government or elsewhere). The Buyer shall be responsible for paying any applicable taxes as required by the law. c. Payment (1)All payments due (including the hammer price, buyer's premium and any applicable taxes) shall be paid within 7 days after the auction. (2)If the Buyer fails to pay to the Company all the payments due, the Buyer will not acquire the ownership of the Lot even if the Company has delivered such item to the Buyer. If the payment is made other than NT dollars, the buyer shall pay the related expense incurred, including bank charges and foreign exchange service fees. d.Collection, packing and shipping Unless otherwise agreed by the Company, the Company will hold temporarily the successfully sold Lots

until all payments to the Company are made in full. The Lot will be covered by the insurance of the Company from the auction date for 7 days during the temporary holding period. The insurance coverage will terminate upon collection of such item. The Buyer should be responsible for all risks following expiration of the said 7-day period or the collection (whichever is the earlier). The Company will provide shipping company upon the buyer's request and do not accept any liability if any damage occurred by the shipping company. e.Remedies for non-payment or noncollection of purchases of purchases The Company is entitled to exercise one or more of the following rights or remedies if the Buyer fails to make payment within 7 days. (1)An interest at the monthly rate of no higher than 4% plus the ba se interest rate will be imposed on all of the payment due if payment is not made within 7 days following the auction date. The payment to be made by the Buyer should offset any payment owed by the Company or its subsidiaries to the Buyer for any other transactions. (2)The Company reserves the right to refuse the Buyer to make on behalf of others, bids in any future auctions and/or to require a deposit from the Buyer before accepting any future bids made by the Buyer. If the Buyer fails to make payment within 35 days, the Company is entitled to exercise the following rights in addition to the aforementioned. (3)To take legal action to the Buyer on behalf of the Seller to claim the entire payment due and the legal fees resulting from such legal action based on a total claim. (4)To cancel the transaction of Lots bid by the Buyer or any other auction items sold to the Buyer at the same or any other auctions. (5)To arrange a public or private re-sale of the Lot. If the reselling price is lower than the payment, the differences and other expenses incurred shall be responsible by the Buyer. f.No collection of the purchases The Company will arrange for the storage of the Lot if such item sold is not collected within 7 days of the item, regardless payment is made or not. Such storage cost will be borne by the Buyer. g.Export permit Unless otherwise agreed by the Company in written, the process of applying the export permit does not affect the Buyer's responsibility to make the payments within 7 days. If the Buyer requests the company to apply the export permit on his or her behalf, the Company is entitled to charge the related expenses.

The legal responsibility of the Company The company is responsible for returning payment to the Buyer pursuant to Article 6. otherwise, whether the Buyer, the Company, any employees or agents of the company will not be held liable for any statements of the author, history, date, year, ownership, authenticity or origin of any auction item or any errors with respect to any explanations and any flaws or defects of any auction item. The Buyer, the Company makes no guarantee with respect to any auction items. Any warrantee of any kind shall not be included herein.

Return of payments for forgery If the Lot is considered as a forgery by the Buyer, the Buyer should inform the Company in written notice within 14 days. The written comment should under the following condition and the transaction will be cancelled and payments made will be returned to the Buyer. It is unnecessary for the Company to pay the Buyer an amount more than what the Buyer pays in connection with the Lot and the Buyer does not reserve the right to claim interests under any circumstances. a.The written report should be provided by two individual experts and agreed by the Company. b.The Buyer must return the Lot to the Company within the following 21 days and the condition of the item must be the same as on the auction day. c.The Buyer has absolute right to the Lot and the Lot is free from the third party rights of claims. d.The Company will refund to the Buyer any amount paid to the Company after receiving the amount returned by the Seller.

â&#x2026;Ą . The Seller The agent The Company acts as the agent of the Seller at a public auction. The Closing Agreement of the Lot is the agreement by and between the Buyer and the Seller.

Expenses a.The Seller shall bear costs including packing, shipping, storage, insurance, catalogue, framing, mounting, repair, and tax. b.If the auction succeeds or a private deal is done, the company will deduct from the hammer price at a regulated rate as the commission and expenses.

Insurance a.The company will collect 1% of the hammer price from the Seller or 1% of the reserve price if the Lot is not

successfully auctioned. Insurance purchased by the Seller If the Seller inform the Company sp eci fi ca ll y tha t it is unneces s a ry to purchase insurance for the Lot, the risks shall be borne entirely by the Seller until the Buyer makes all the payments. The Seller must indemnify the Company, the employees and agents of the Company and the Buyer (if applicable) any claims in connection with the auction against the Company, the employees and agents of the Company and the Buyer, regardless of the cause of such claim.

Commitments made by the Seller with respect to the Lot a.The Seller is the only owner of the Lot and has the unlimited right to assign his ownership to the Buyer which should not concern any third party right or claim (including copyright claims). b. The Seller complies with all the laws in connection with the import and export of auction items and any other laws and has notiďŹ ed the Company in writing any failure to comply with such rules in the past. c. The Seller has notified the Company in writing of any major modiďŹ cations in the Lot to the best of his knowledge and any concern the third party has raised with respect to the ownership of the Lot and the condition. d. In the event of any inaccuracy of the above mentioned, the Seller must guarantee, if requested, to identify fully the Company and/or the Buyer all the claims, costs and expenses arising here from, whether caused by the Lot or the auction proceeds.

Auction arrangements a. T h e C o m p a n y h a s i t s d i s c r e t i o n over the description of the auction in the catalogue, display layouts, authentication opinions, location and method of the auction, who will be allowed to bid and the acceptance of the bid price, whether to seek profession

Auction rules The Company will auction the item according to the Reserve. The Reserve may not be higher than the minimum of the estimates set in the catalogue. The Company is entitled to auction the item at a price lower than the Reserve, If the lot is sold according to the above principle, the Company is responsible to pay the Seller the difference between the closing price and the Reserve.

After the successful auction a. Settlement After the payment is made by the Buyer, unless the Company receives a notice claiming such auction item is a forgery (as defined in the Agreement), the Company will pay the Seller within 45 days following the successful auction day an amount equal to the closing price taking away all the expenses payable by the Seller. If the Buyer delays the payment, the Company will pay the Seller within 7 days following the payment by the Buyer. If for any reason The Company pays the Seller before the Buyer makes the payment, the Company acquires the full ownership of the item. However, if the Company is forced to reclaim the Lot from the Buyer because such item is a counterfeit, the Seller must return the auction proceeds to the Company. If the Seller requests to pay in currencies other than NT dollars, the Company will collect from the Seller any foreign exchange expenses arising therefrom. b. Non-payment by the Buyer If the Buyer fails to make all the payments due within 35 days following the auction day, the Company is entitled to negotiate special ter ms in connection with the payments, storage, and insurance on behalf of the Seller and act deemed necessary by the Company to collect payments payable from the Buyer. However, the Company is not responsibility for making remittance to the Seller nor for bringing any legal actions on behalf of the Seller. The Company will discuss with the Seller to adopt appropriate actions to claim auction payments from the Buyer. c. Forgery If the Buyer convinces the Company

that the Lot is a forgery (as defined in the Agreement) within 14 days following the auction day, then (1) If the Buyer has not paid all or part of the payment, the Company is entitled to call off the transaction and/or (2) If the Company at that time has paid all or part of the payments payable to the Seller, the Seller must return all of the payments made to the Company if requested. The Company will exercise lien for the latter. Any items belonging to the Seller under control of the Company will be kept as security of the payments to be returned. d. Unsuccessfully auctioned items Any item not auctioned successfully, not included in the auction or withdrawn from the auction for any reason must be collected by the Seller within 35 days upon notification by the Company to the Seller. The storage fee of NT$300 per day will be charged on each item not collected after such 35 day period together with an additional charge for purchasing insurance coverage. The Company may dispose the Lot if such item is not collected within 90 days following the auction date or the notice date (whichever is the earlier). Such disposal includes removing the item to a third party warehouse with the associated expenses borne by the Seller and to auction such items under terms deemed appropriate by the Company (including the terms of estimates and the Reserve). The Company will pay the Seller the related expense after payments owed are offset. The Company is authorized to act as the sole agent of the Seller within 30 days following the auction for any auction item with-drawn from the auction or not sold. The Company may auction in private the item based on the net amount the Seller may receive (the amount after deducting all the expenses payable by the Seller) or sell such item in private at a lower price agreed upon by the Company and the Seller. Under such circumstances, the Seller's responsibilities and liabilities to the Company are the same as during an auction.

Notices All the notices distributed according to the Transaction Agreement herein shall be made in writing. Any notice shall be deemed served to the recipient on the second day following delivery if sent by mail. If the recipient is abroad, the notice shall be deemed as received on the fifth working day following delivery by mall.

Severability If any part of the Transaction Agreement is deemed invalid, illegal or unenforceable by any court, such part can be ignored and the rest of the Transaction Agreement continues to be valid and enforceable to the maximum extent permitted by the law.

Jurisdiction The Transaction Agreement are governed under the R.O.C. law and the interpretation and effect of the Rules shall be subject to the R.O.C. laws. The Buyer and Seller shall submit themselves to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Taiwanese court for the interests of the Company. (Any discrepancy between the Chinese and English version of this ter ms and Conditions of Business, the Chinese version shall prevail.)

The Company owns non-exclusive rights to the photographs, recordings and other reproduced images of the Lot. All the rights of such images shall belong to the Company and the company is entitled to use such images in any manner it deems appropriate.
