Unless the matter relates to boarding the first point of contact will be with the tutor. You will be sent your child’s tutor’s contact details in the first week of term.

The best time to call resident house staff in the morning is from 7 45am – 8 15am or from 7 30pm – 8 30pm. Email is often quicker. During prep times Monday to Thursday, please note that the house is empty from 6.00pm – 7 40pm. Evening duty staff are around until 9 15pm (9 30pm in the summer term).

Westwood House Boarding Captains

Each term at least one boarder in Year 8 will be appointed Boarding Captain. These pupils will be briefly interviewed by the Westwood Boarding staff for the post and have specific responsibilities and duties.

It is hoped this will help develop a greater sense of leadership and responsibility. These pupils will receive a badge to show their role in the term they are in office. With younger boarders they are expected to be helpful older siblings.

Role of Boarding House Prefects

To support the boarders and boarding about thirty Year 12 prefects are carefully selected to help ensure Westwood boarding runs very smoothly; these older pupils act as role models for Westwood boarders. These prefects support all Westwood boarders in the weekday evenings and also during the weekends.
