POLICIES & FEES
FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVICE
The Courtyard by Marriott Houma, LA is responsible for the quality and freshness of the food served to our guests. Due to current health regulations, all food served at the Hotel must be prepared by our culinary staff. Food may not be taken off premises after it has been prepared and served. Please note that sales and service of alcoholic beverages are regulated by the State. It is a policy therefore, that alcoholic beverages cannot be brought into the Hotel from the outside or removed from the property.
ADMINISTRATIVE FEES
All catering and banquet charges are subject to 22% service charge and applicable sales tax, currently 10.5%.
25 person minimum for all catered meals. Final guaranteed counts less than 25 will incur a $3.00 per person upcharge.
FUNCTION ROOM ASSIGNMENT
Room assignments are made according to the guaranteed minimum number of people anticipated. Because these attendance figures may vary from expected attendance, we reserve the right to change room assignments to best accommodate either increasing or decreasing attendance figures.
ENTRÉE SELECTION
In the event that your group requires more than (1) one menu option, entrée selections are limited to a maximum of (3) three selections. When selecting multiple entrées the menu price will reflect the highest priced entrée. The Hotel requires that the client supply place cards or tickets identifying the particular entrée selected by each guest. If the Hotel needs to produce more than the initial amount guaranteed for a specific entrée, the client is responsible for paying for those additional meals.
GUARANTEES
A guaranteed attendance figure is required for all meal functions (7) seven business days prior to the function date. Once provided, the guarantee may not be reduced. If the catering office is not advised by this time, the estimated figure on the signed agreement will automatically become the guarantee.
AUDIO-VISUAL EQUIPMENT
We will be pleased to arrange for any audio-visual requirements for your function.
BILLING
An acceptable form of payment must be agreed upon during the initial booking arrangements. Acceptable forms of payment include advance deposit (prepayment), direct billing (subject to approval) and/or completed credit card authorization form.
SECURITY
The Hotel does not assume responsibility for damage or loss of any merchandise or articles left on the premises prior to, during or following an event. Groups will be required to pay for two (2) or more additional security guards if alcohol is served. The Hotel will be responsible for the booking of the security guard through the local Houma Police Department. The cost for these services varies per event and season.
DECORATIONS
The Hotel will not permit the affixing of anything to walls, floors or ceilings with nails, staples, tape or any other substance. Glitter and Confetti (paper, plastic or other materials) is not allowed. If used, Hotel reserves the right to charge a minimum $250.00 cleaning fee and/or damage fee.
