WIND POWER GENERATING TRAIN STATION IN SHOREDITCH, EAST LONDON

This project is based on a site set at Shoreditch, a station that is yet to be reopen, and the design scheme is to use the speed of the train and its power to generate electricity and light up the surrounding and at the same time attract people to unite Shoreditch.

The project went through a few iteration of designs, concluding with a concrete and tectonic platform for social activities.

Hanging hybrid of Manhattan.

A conceptial structures that lives in Manhattan acting as a city parasite amount the busy routine of the streets. Very much influenced by Lebbeus Woods’ architecture, and brutally invades one of the worlds most rigidly grided city.

PIZZA OVEN AND WINTER STRUCTURE IN KOSHIRAKURA, JAPAN

The Koshirakura Landscape Workshop is directed by Shin Egashira and is part of the Visiting School program of the AA School of Architecture. This year, we constructed a Pizza oven for the locals to experience a part of western food culture, and a shelter to protect it from the snow fall during winters. Oven was laid with fire bricks and rendered in red clay, supported by concrete foundation. The frame was made with 15x15 wood pieces, and has a bench on either side to accommodate up to 6 people for dining. I was part of the design team for the structure, and co-ordinating the construction.
