The organisation was founded and established by the young visionary C. Jinasena with an ambition to startup an engineering establishment which was to service and repair machinery. This was the first Sri Lankan owned business of that time and marked the beginning of change in the engineering landscape in Sri Lanka. Today, over hundred years on and two generations later, the business continues to hold pride of place in the community. Maintaining its position as a stalwart in the local business domain, the organization keenly demonstrates its avant-garde practice that helps it sustain its progressive outlook. Electric Motors Jinasena Electric Motor Limited was primarily set up to add value and support the core business with electric motors for the Jinasena water pumps. JEM has now evolved in to a comprehensive electric motor business that makes available a comprehensive range of high performance motor accessories and parts for both domestic and industrial use and we ensure they are readily available at all times.

Water Purification Systems J Aqua, which operate as a subsidiary of the Jinasena Group, specializing in water purification solutions. We offer the most effective treat systems backed by the support of the globally renowned ION India. Our portfolio also includes a range of RO filters for the domestic market, hotel sector, housing complexes and community centers.

Irrigation Systems The Jinasena Drip & Sprinkler Irrigation Division offers the widest range of irrigation systems for residential, commercial and industrial clients. We manufacture high quality irrigation solutions for agricultural, turf, greenhouse, nursery, industrial and landscape markets. Our expertise and aftersales service positions us as the leader in the market.

As a positive force in the local community we have rolled out many initiatives to deliver better irrigation solution and easy access to clean and safe water. We ensure investments in infrastructure, knowledge and service support are provided to add value to our efforts, thereby putting our technology and expertise to work. By doing so we are driving real benefits for our customers, employees, and partners. Our endeviours in the community include safe drinking water initiatives that were implemented at the Kottawa Junior School and Boossa Maha Vidayalaya inGalle, Halabe Kanishta Vidyalya in Nikawaratiya and the Palugasdamana Maha Vidyalaya. A comprehensive sprinkler irrigation system was also established at the Boossa Maha Vidayalaya to support the development of their agriculture garden and green house. We have also extended our focus in the community by seeing up ahome garden project for the inmates of the Mental Hospital Rehabilitation centre in Mulleriyawa which has ably support them in their recovery process. We also engage in other value driven initiatives that help us to build partnership for social development and to touch peopleâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s lives. 150 solar lamps were distributed to two IDP camps of Kadiragama and Raamavil situated in the areas of Vavuniya and Jaffna. Solar lanterns were also provided to students of Mulativu Olumadu Vidyalaya to help them study for their examinations. We have been supporting the communities where we live and work for more than 100 years and today we are more involved through our activities that enhance the wellbeing of people and society.
