Accommodation Options If a parent is not living in New Zealand, Rangi Ruru international students either live in Rangi Ruru’s modern, onsite Boarding House or with one of the school’s approved Homestay families.
English Language Support All our international students are fully integrated into mainstream classes, but specialist English language support is also available at all levels on an individual or small group basis. English for Academic Studies (EAS) classes are available to help prepare senior international students (Years 12 and 13) for university study (both in New Zealand and overseas) and prepare them for international English exams such as TOEFL, IELTS and SAT.

Rangi Ruru Girls’ School is an independent (private) school located in the suburb of Merivale, north west of the city, just 15 minutes from Christchurch airport. The school is one of New Zealand’s top performing schools, recognised for its students’ achievements academically and in many sport, creative and cultural pursuits.
