Island Life Waiheke Island is a special and beautiful place to live. It has golden sandy beaches with stunning scenery and blue clean water. Dolphins, and occasionally whales, are spotted in the waters around Waiheke. The most popular leisure activities revolve around the sea, for example, kayaking, fishing, snorkelling and sailing. Many New Zealanders dream to live on the Island as it has such a relaxed lifestyle. The Island is very safe and prides itself on being a caring community of around 8000. Around every corner are amazing views of either a beach, bush, vistas back to the city or out to other islands in the Hauraki Gulf. All international students are placed in a homestay arranged and monitored by the school. Students are welcomed as part of a New Zealand family to experience the Kiwi way of life. We select families carefully for their friendliness, their lifestyle and for the quality of care they offer to students. Homestay includes three meals per day, laundry and a comfortable room of your own with a work space for study. What is really special is that your home will be near to a beach. Homestay parents are usually professionals who either commute in to the city to work or work on the island.
