The family and community of Taieri College invite you to come and share with us and learn about New Zealand and its education system. We are proud of our school and our town and like to share it with people from other countries. This is a safe place to send your children and we promise that we will give them a good experience.

Mosgiel Location & Weather Mosgiel and Dunedin have a temperate climate with four distinct seasons, each bringing their own beauty. Each year, festivals mark the change of seasons celebrating the start of summer, the shortest day in winter and the spring flowering of rhododendrons. There are occasional snowfalls and frosts in the winter months but these usually clear during the day.

Taieri College School Campus
You will be part of a community co-educational Year 7-13 state school with 1000+ students. You are offered a unique experience that reflects the rural pace and style of life in contrast to the more cosmopolitan impact that students get in larger city schools. Experience a safe and caring environment. Extensive personal pastoral care and support systems are in place. ESOL programmes are available at all levels. ESOL is a pathway to mainstream subjects. TOEFL and IELTS classes are available. Teacher Aide help is available in mainstream classes. We achieve excellent NCEA results. International students are placed in mainstream at a level they can have success in. Students are encouraged to participate in as many sporting and cultural activities as possible. Sport at Taieri College
UNIFORM Uniform is compulsory for all year levels at Taieri College Uniform cost : Seniors - Approximately NZ $800 Juniors - Approximately NZ $600 Items of uniform you may bring from your country: Black leather lace up shoes for boys and girls at all levels. Senior boys – Year 11-13 - white dress shirts that can be worn with a tie.
Homestay International students are placed carefully in a caring homestay family. Town or rural homestays are available. The homestay family provides: 3 meals a day including school lunch. A furnished, separate bedroom with a study desk and lamp. Accommodation from arrival to the end of the academic year, including school holidays. A supportive environment which allows the student to become part of a New Zealand family.
