CODE
INCUBATE
DIRECT
In this digital age of ones and zeroes the Code could be considered the most dynamic of the lot. This code describes the elemental building blocks behind any digital experience.
When creativity is nurtured and pointed in the right direction, anything is possible. The Incubate code is all about innovative ideas and employing them to discover our true potential.
Some people are born entertainers and natural storytellers. The Direct code describes how all the pieces fit together to create a well resolved outcome.
SHOOT
EDIT
PUBLISH
What we see colours our vision of the world. The Shoot code is all about capturing life on camera and telling its story – or another story of our own making.
We’ve been composing with sounds and images since the beginning of recorded history. The Edit code is all about how we order, overlay and compose our ideas for presentation.
Words and ideas surround us and form the kernel of our communication. The Publish code is all about crafting and expressing our ideas and the stories we choose to tell.
DESIGN
SKETCH
Design permeates everyday life, it’s how we communicate and share our ideas. From the houses we live in, to the streets we drive down, and the clothes we wear – the design code refers to them all.
Whether you use a pencil, a brush or a tablet and stylus, many would say this is art in its purest form. The Sketch code is all about anything drawn, illustrated, sketched or painted.

You will study digital design for two hours each day, Monday to Thursday, with Friday being a self-directed study day. You will also have access to computers outside of class hours if you want to work on projects in your own time. You will learn a wide range of skills in these design areas:
Learn to build and test a simple website.
Your English will be assessed on your class work and tests during your course. There will also be a final exam. You can choose to take an external English test as well, such as International English Language Test System (IELTS), Cambridge English Exam or TOEFL.
Photography and Image Layout Study photography, image layout and composition in Photoshop. Learn how to create panoramas and manipulate images.
Animation Learn the basic principles of 2D animation, develop a character and create a short animation piece in Flash.
Digital Video Study filmmaking methods, then plan, shoot and edit footage shot on a digital camera to create a short film.
Package Design Research, develop and present a package that you have designed to sell a product.
Portfolio Put together a dynamic portfolio or showreel of all the work you have completed in this course.
SOFTWARE Software used on this course includes Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, iMovie, After Effects and Dreamweaver.
EQUIPMENT Apple Mac computers, digital cameras, scanners and printers.
Your digital design skills will be assessed through briefs you complete every two to three weeks. At the end of your course, you will also be assessed on the portfolio of all the work you finished during your course.
FURTHER LEARNING Once you have successfully completed the course, your options for further study depend on the language level you have reached. You can apply for the Certificate in Digital Media (iCreate) course or one of the diploma level courses such as the Diploma in Computer Graphic Design or the Diploma in Animation and Digital Video.
Print Design Learn about layout and print design, then plan and create a brochure and CD covers.

Yoobee will soon be launching a unique and exciting online learning platform from which we will deliver a series of digital design short courses and diplomas to a global market. LOUISE COOK SALES MANAGER – HAIRY LEMON
LEAH MORGAN “As Head of Department for Digital Media (Advanced) and iCreate I get to see students through their whole Yoobee experience, from welcoming them in iCreate to sending them off from Digital Media (Advanced), portfolio in hand, equipped for the industry. “Tutoring Digital Media Advanced is like art directing a young creative design studio. There’s a strong team vibe and the students surprise themselves with design gems.
