Here in the Kennebunks, we’re blessed with our dining options. From the simplest lobster shack to the most acclaimed fine dining, we’ve got everything to please even the pickiest of palates. And lobster – well, there we’ve got just about everyone beat. Do you like yours steamed, served with an ear of corn and a cup of butter? You’ll find it here. How about dipped in butter and/or mayo and served on a freshly baked roll? You’ll find it here (and in our Lobster Roll Trail of the Kennebunks, which you’ll find on page 9). On French fries and smothered in creamy lobster bisque – yup, as poutine. We’ve got it here. In pasta, on pizza, in omelettes and tacos, you’ll find lobster in just about everything – and all of it fresh from the sea. But while lobster may be king here, we have plenty of other dining options, too, from Asian to Italian, and all cuisines in between, in settings from humble to high-falutin’, if that’s what you’re looking for.

Eateries in the Kennebunks are also paying more attention to the beers, wine and cocktails they serve, with a huge variety of beers on tap, carefully curated wines and stunning handcrafted cocktails (you’ll find our Cocktail Trail of the Kennebunks on page 20). In fact, we’re so proud of the food scene here in the Kennebunks, that we’re dedicating an entire week to celebrating all things culinary. Our inaugural Eat the Kennebunks Week will take place from May 14-20, with restaurants offering special beer and wine dinners, prix fixe menus, cocktail classes, specials and more. You can get more information at Eatthe Kennebunks.com, or follow us on Facebook for the most up-to-date details. You can read more about it starting on page 5 as well. And in case you want to see all the food the Kennebunks have to offer, check out our full dining guide starting on page 22. But warning – you may drool a little and it will make you hungry. And the only solution for that is to come to the Kennebunks and try all we have to offer. Enjoy!
